Is Courtney Robinson Going To Appear on Dancing With The Stars Season 14?
I honestly have no idea how to take this news? Could Courtney Robertson of The Bachelor be joining the Dancing With The Stars cast of Season 14 or is this just a guest appearance of some kind? This is nutty.

Sources tell PEOPLE that the Ford model – whose antics annoyed her fellow Bachelor contestants – is in talks with Dancing with the Stars producers and that it’s possible she could make an appearance on the March 19 season premiere.
When asked about the rumor, a show rep said simply, “We do not comment on casting rumors. You’ll have to tune in Monday and see.”
If Robertson, 28, were a last-minute addition to this season’s cast, she would only have five days to rehearse. Not that it can’t be done as evidenced by former Bachelor contestant Melissa Rycroft, who was a last-minute addition in season eight when she replaced an injured Nancy O’Dell.

Heidi: People Magazine is likely full of crap. If she shows up, what would she do? If she dances, who would she dance with?? Dmitry?? He’s the only one tall enough for her that doesn’t have a partner. But the main reason why I think this is bull is because she declined EVERY other media appearance that she wasn’t contracted to do this past week. She and Ben both were supposed to be on Kimmel, GMA and a host of other things and they turned them all down so they could “work on their relationship”. (hahaha…okay, right). So, is DWTS a big enough draw that she would say yes to it?? And I have to say – this better not be true because that would mean TWO double eliminations. But she would likely go first because she’s pretty universally hated. Another reason for her to not do it.
But people magazine is not a bs magazine. Why this magazine out of all of them would write this crap?

Why did they say this? They could have said this season already has 12 couples.
There’s some Twitter speculation about one of the female celebs having to back out…. Oh, I SOOOOOOOOOO hope this is complete crap!
When does Emily’s season start? I think they want everyone to see Emily as a sweet and holsum girl. Would that happen with the unlikeable Courtney thrown in our faces again? So that tends me to believe that this is BS.
I have only watched bits and pieces of the bachelor, it is a waste of my time. So ridiculous. But I will be pissed if Courtney invades my favorite show.
OMG it just hit me. Was it gladys who had to back out?
Because the way I see it has to be one of three: people that had to back out: Martina, Melissa, and Gladys. I don’t see Melissa abcking out because she is so invested in it already and so is gladys. Maybe Martina?
Vin, look at Gladys’ last two tweets. She’s counting the days until DWTS and she said she’s “loving this DWTS”. All the ladies are tweeting as if there is nothing wrong. I could be wrong, but, I don’t think anyone has backed out.
Well this would just suck! What a way to ruin this great cast. BOO!
I don’t thnk Martina is backing out either. She just did a new Insider interview yesterday with Tony that was aired today. She’s talked a lot about setting an example for the people of AARP. She’s in this thing to make a statement and she is not a quitter of anything.
The speculation about someone backing out seems to come from CAI’s tweet “Tmrw…Cast physical – did you know we have to get a physical before every season? It’s good to get your physicals…Today I had the flu..”
Elsee, I didn’t read Carrie Anne’s tweet into anything more than what it is. There was a physical today which they do every season, but, that doesn’t mean someone is out or backed out and that something more should be made of it in connection with this rumor??
I completely agree! I also read it as a simple factual statement, and the rest is just speculation.
DWTSGossip tweeted People Mag rumor…then followers assumed it was because of CAI’s tweet about physicals and maybe someone backed out because of their physicals…that hasn’t even happened yet?????

Why would she do the show knowing she would be the first one voted off…even if she could dance.
Actually, People Magazine is often a crap magazine. Not always, but often. Even the New York Times if full of crap on occasion.
And no, it’s not Emily – they start shooting her season either today or tomorrow. It’s already in progress.
Well the good news is they are just “talking” at this point and nothing is confirmed.
The bad news is if it is true, that drastically alters the eliminations (stock up on prozac Asap) and bleach my eyes for having to watch yet another Bachelor cast-off.
My question: Until we know for sure, do we use a crucifix, voo doo dolls, kryptonite, holy water, evil eye beads, silver bullets or the Star Trek sign to ward her off?

My first thoughts were Melissa…maybe her back issues became a bigger problem. Or what about Gavin ? He did not seem all that invested and maybe he just decided it is not worththe bother trying to co-ordinate it. Maybe he sized up the competition and thought he would be off early anyway ?? I am with whoever said, please no more reality people. I can’t believe people even waste there time with this show–all contrived and none (maybe one) end up together. Just like many of the DWTS faux-mances.

Actually, Mimi makes a good point. We are assuming it is one of the women who have dropped out of casting, it very well could be one of the men.

Apparently, his rep has declined comment. If court action is taken, he’ll have no choice but to appear at hearings.

Bringing her in would be an exercise in futility, as she would undoubtedly be the first to go. Then again, maybe that’s the selling point: “C’mon, Courtney! It’s just one week and then you can say you did DWTS!”
I actually watch the View and Sherri was just talking having to do the fertility clinic ordeal in order the get pregnant. So I don’t think its her but then again I really believe that article is bogus unless ABC is really grasping at straws and is looking to generate buzz which this season is lacking. I really hope not though.
Oops I left out that she said today on the view that her and her hubby had to donate “you know what” recently and that stuff takes a while to manipulate.

I looked at the link about Donald…. It’s from New York state, not the IRS. I can’t imagine that a state issue, for $8K, would keep him from DWTS. Heck, if what I’ve seen on the web is correct, is first week’s DWTS check would completely pay off the tax beef…
Now that I think about it I hope Courtney is on. As much as people despise her she’ll be first off and it will give all the rest an extra week to practice and settle into the routine.
And I swear, my ears are gonna bleed if I have to listen to another female contestant yammer on about all the gory, squirmtastic details of their personal lives(Sherry) week after week(Kendra). Yuck! I get embarrassed for our whole gender over women like this. And with her history WTH is she doing -fertility treatments, REALLY ?? Hope she is gone quickly from my fav show.

I live in Ontario Canada, so I wasn’t aware of how your tax system worked. Am I right in deducing that in his case it is property tax vs income tax he is owing?
The article didn’t really define what tax was owing.
I have a hard time believing this is true. They’ve done so much promo with the pairs plus they would promote the crap out of this to get more viewers. Besides if you read it on the forums over there? Those people are nuts.

JennJenn – Yeah, it sounded like property tax – like, for a house and/or land in NY. It’s highly unlikely that any police officers would show up and “slap the cuffs on him” for something like this…
Worst case, he might lose whatever property NY has filed the lien against, but that would only be if he didn’t pay up, or negotiate a settlement…
I was just over there looking around and they still have everything up about “supporting your fav team, go to team pages to support your team, etc.? Where was this piece of info about this change?
It was probably somebody on the forum speculating. That idea has been floating around for a while – but really, that would result in less stellar dancing. Not to mention that part of the show is about the partnerships.
Come on now, do you think the celebs would agree to having a different pro every week? They have to build a relationship and trust with their teacher. Having a new one every week would drive everyone ( especially fans) over the edge. IMO
I don’t see this happening at all. ABC just aired this Monday, the crappola about these two trying to work things out, and not making any appearances, then BAM the following Monday there she is, doing DWTS. I just don’t see it.
Gawd, I really hope this is not true, it really has taken the wind out of my fire. I have been so looking forward to Monday night.
I think this is just the sort of thing TPTB would do. I hope not, but I could totally see it. Courtney (apparently) wants to help her image, the show doesn’t have any major controversy this year. IF true, I think her partner would have to be Dmitry, or maybe even Teddy. It seems he might be out of the troupe but has been pretty quiet on that front, right?
I do actually think People is one of the more reputable magazines. They’re not perfect, of course. No one is. But it isn’t like they’re TMZ or UsWeekly or OK Mag. So until it’s proven false Monday night (which again, I hope it is) I’m going to believe them.
Oh, I also find it weird (as someone else stated above) why would the casting person say “you’ll just have to tune in and see” instead of something more along the lines of, “we have our cast already, this is ridiculous”. UNLESS-maybe TPTB are in on this w/ People and are trying to boost viewership for Monday with a false report? I could see them doing that, too.
LOTS of things can happen b4 the begins and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if someone had to pull out…….and if so, they gotta drag the swamp to find some kind of replacement at the last minute and she obviously doesn’t worry about looking like a (u fill in the blank) as long as she gets paid and is getting attention.
Also people who answer questions regarding the show have media training and I think they would have found some other way to respond than “you will just have to tune in to see”, unless something is up.

It would seem to me that if someone has to drop out, then it would be easier to just go with 11 couples, and ditch the double elimination…

Totally thinking about the viewers of Dancing with the Stars, and attempting to keep the format fresh, the producers have created a new contest for Season 14! This season will feature the premier of the Two-faced, Back-stabbing Bitch Relay Dance!!!!! Coaching all of the couples in this intricate, Machiavellian dance will be none other than Courtney Robinson!!!!!!

“Making an appearance” could also simply mean she will be sitting in the front row, and could get some camera time…. And her Publicist (which she probably did go and find…) decided to use this as… publicity! And ABC just gave a standard response….. Who knows?
I really hope that “making an appearance” in this case means sitting in a McDonalds many blocks away
or a psychatrist’s office. either way

To echo what Lori said, if it’s *just* an appearance, than TPTB wouldn’t necessarily dismiss it because it’s good press (and by good press I mean “good” press). She’s a hot topic, makes the news, on the magazines…..blah blah blah.
I might punch something if she’s DANCING on it though….highly unlikely to happen (i think) based on evidence thus far, promos, etc……good thing for my hands
