Alanis Morissette To Perform New Single On Dancing With The Stars Results Show May 15th

Heads up! Perez Hilton is reporting Alanis Morissette Alanis Morissette is going to perform on the Results Show next week on Dancing With The Stars. What’s more, she will be singing her new single “Guardian” from her new upcoming album “Havoc and Bright Lights” LIVE for the very first time.

Alanis Morissette’s new single, Guardian, off of her upcoming album Havoc and Bright Lights, won’t be available on iTunes until next Tuesday, but in honor of the occasion, she is scheduled to perform it for the first time live on the Dancing With The Stars result show that very night!

This is so cool. I love Alanis (and her hair!). Her album “Jagged Little Pill” Jagged Little Pill - Alanis Morissette will always be one of my all-time favorites. Do you have that album too? Just curious!

‘Behind The Scenes’ With Dancing With The Stars Troupe Members Sasha Farber And Emma Slater

Last week, Extra interviewed Emma Slater and Sasha Farber who are on the Dancing With The Stars Troupe. So much of the time, we see comments from fans thinking that the dancers from the troupe are “too new” or wouldn’t be and/or aren’t good enough to be pros which isn’t necessarily the case. Like the teaching pros, some members of the troupe have been dancing since they were kids and have earned their stars on a competitive level and/or in popular Broadway and West End shows like “Burn The Floor”, etc. Anyway, here’s a little, fun segment Extra did with Sasha and Emma “behind the scenes” in getting to know them a little better….

Stay tuned. We have an exclusive interview coming up with troupe member Sharna Burgess as well!!

More Buzz On Dancing With The Stars All-Star Edition

TV Guide is reporting some more buzz on the much talked about “All-Star” Edition of Dancing With The Stars. A “staffer” told them that it’s “going to happen.” Also, Mario Lopez, Gilles Marini, Mel B., Sabrina Bryan, and Kyle Massey are a few names being dropped who might be returning. According to the staffer, also note that the casting would exclude mirror ball champions. Below is more….

According to the staffer, the casting would exclude mirror ball champions, which may come as a disappointment to Dancing co-host Brooke Burke Charvet, who won Season 7 (2008) and recently told talk show host Rachael Ray that she’d loved to be a part of an All-Star season. “100 percent yes!” said Charvet. “I haven’t danced ballroom since I left. And being on the show, it just makes me want to dance again.”

A spokesman for ABC, who would not confirm the plan, says the network is not ready to make any formal announcement. But another insider says that the names on the list make sense because they could conceivably fit the show into their schedules and are all still physically fit enough to compete. Bryan and Massey are in Las Vegas right now, performing in a three-month run of “Dancing With The Stars: Live In Las Vegas,” at the New Tropicana Las Vegas.

The names also make sense when you consider the pairings with their old pro partners: Runner-up Lopez could dance again with Karina Smirnoff, assuming that they could put their former romance aside. Runner-up Mel B., who is co-hosting the Australian version of Dancing, could paso doble again with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Runner-up Marini could wow the ballroom again with Cheryl Burke. Bryan could be vindicated for being voted out too soon by pairing up again with Mark Ballas. And runner-up Massey could cha-cha again with Lacey Schwimmer.

“It’s better if the winners don’t come back,” says the insider, “because then, we have a cast of people who have another shot at the title.”

Wow, I can’t wait and I can see why it would be better if the winners didn’t come back. You can read the full article at TV Guide. Let’s get Heidi’s take….

Heidi: Hmmm…I dunno. I guess an all stars season would be great if they only picked people who went as far as the semi-finals. That would certainly make it more exciting, since it implies both fan votes and dance ability (to a certain extent) for each of the cast – a somewhat more level playing field. No real duds with a few exceptions.  But if they are talking about Sabrina, then they might consider others who didn’t make it that far, and I would think the point would be to have all great dancers.  Gilles?? He’s a working actor, I don’t see him coming back to the show.  I also don’t see Mario coming back (and he already said he didn’t have time) as he’s working a good bit too.  So…who else would who is “good” would be likely to come back?? And what happens if two people who danced with the same pro came back??

DWTS Season 14 Stats Class: Week 8 Scorecard

Since Week 8 is a double elimination week, I felt that it would probably benefit everyone if I went ahead and did a scorecard for this week and probably will continue to do so for the last two weeks of the season thereafter.

So to start, let’s look at how the actual scores on the show compared with those that were predicted:

Before we start, the very last column is just the summation of the differences between the two dances that each couple has to dance.

My life can be summed up in the following two quotes: 1) "I am married to engineering and am its faithful wife by day, but at night my wanderlust takes hold and the arts becomes my jealous paramour." and... 2) "Engineering is my safety net. Writing is my passion. Acting is my escape when the other two become too much." So where does dancing fit in? Pretty much anywhere at this point... =)

DWTS Week 8 Saying Good-bye To Melissa Gilbert And Roshon Fegan Elimination Videos

So, what will you remember the most about Melissa Gilbert and Roshon Fegan and their time on Dancing With The Stars?

What I’m going to remember the most about Melissa Gilbert is her fight and compassion for life and how she brought those two traits to the dance floor. Despite any and all physical challenges and criticisms from the judges (and even Maks in rehearsals), she tuned it (and them) out and never stopped “believing”….much like her character on “Little House On The Prairie” (which she, I admit, rekindled my love for). What’s more, I will never forget her last dance with Val and Maks which she can bank on as being one of the most memorable on Dancing With The Stars (in my opinion). This vision will forever remain in my head when I look back at this season and think of her.

As for Roshon, I will remember him for his young, refreshing, spirit, and zest for life. Same with his positivity. Despite being unfairly critiqued at times and being in the Dance Duel twice, he smiled through it all. He brought a “Michael Jackson” revamped edginess to the dance floor too which I will cherish!! I hope this isn’t the last time we see of this bright shining star who turned into a man before our very eyes…and a dashing one at that in his bow ties.

So, enough from me. Let’s see what both couples had to say to On The Red Carpet, Afterbuzz TV, Access Hollywood, ET, and Good Morning America after being eliminated and their time on the show.

Some Dances Revealed For Dancing With The Stars Semi-Finals, Goals, And More

Two more couples gone and four left. Let’s see what George Pennacchio of On The Red Carpet found out about next week’s dances while getting their reactions from the eliminations. He has some deeper questions as well. For instance, he asks if sex appeal helps to get votes. He asks what new twist in the show they’d like to see. He also asks the couples what it will take to get into the finals. Note that there isn’t an interview with William and Cheryl (yet anyway?).

First up, Donald and Peta!! “Next week starts NOW” for Donald. They have the Waltz and the Samba. Hard work and dedication is what it will take to get to the finals… and good coaching from Peta to push him. Donald plans to work harder than ever. Such a force, that one.

Maria is invested in this competition so much her face shook last night. Derek says they will have to bring some show stoppers since the competition is so tight. Derek likes to be tasteful when it comes to being sexy (that’s one thing I love about him! He is always tasteful!). To switch things up for the show, Derek thinks it would be fun to switch partners for a week (Cool idea. I love it! What do you think?).

Katherine is so relieved she is safe and sad for Melissa and Roshon being eliminated. George praises her on her big heart. They have the Salsa and the Quickstep for next week. Both are excited about it and they can have a lot of fun. Mark says to get the finals, Katherine needs to stay in the moment and concentrate (so true!).

After Buzz TV interviewed a few of the couples as well. In these two videos, Maria says she and Derek have the Jive and the Argentine Tango. Donald and Peta plan to do something they haven’t done yet.
