Toughest Rehearsals Ever Leading Into DWTS Semi-Finals For Donald Driver And Peta Murgatroyd
Donald Driver has penned a new blog at JS Online. He says this week has been all about he and Peta “doing the very best that they can” for their Waltz and Samba. He also gives some teasers for what’s to take place in a piece for Monday. Take a read below to see…
Our practices this week probably have been the toughest ones of the year . . . but you all know I love a good challenge.
Through the ups and downs of this week’s practices, we’ve always kept our eyes on our goal. We know all of our hard work will pay off and lead to a great result on Monday.
In addition to all of the rehearsals, this week ABC has been doing interviews with a few of my friends, family members and teammates for a piece that’s going to air during Monday’s show.
I can’t tell you which one of my teammates they interviewed, but I know you won’t want to miss it!
Sounds cool. One more day and counting the minutes.

It sounds like the semifinal stuff they always do, no?
I hope they can find a way to dress him so those massive neck/shoulder muscles don’t look so big, I think it makes his posture look worse than it is. I loved the dashing suits he’s been wearing but they seem to really emphasize a hunched up look. I’m not necessarily a fan of the muscle shirt, do they call it a wife beater or something, but maybe something like that would show that those are muscles up there. In the above photo, if you look closely you can see that his shoulders are actually down, but you have to really look for it.
I really want him in the finals along with the 2 women!
@jess – When you were talking about the massive/neck should muscles I thought you were talking about Willy.
I am not a fan of the muscle shirt at all… But I would never use that *label* upon anyone wearing that type of shirt.
I am glad you are a fan of Donald, I think he is ah-mazing and I hope all of his hard work pays off… I know it will!!!
Yeah Sandy, you’re right about throwing around such an abhorrent label, just I thought I’ve heard it called that.
Nah, Wm’s muscles seem to be from wt lifting for physique. and it looks to me like Donald’s are important for the function of protecting him while working/playing football. I remember Hines talking about how important it is to keep the head tucked in to prevent injury. I prefer the functional type myself. Go Donald!
The first thing I thought when I saw that picture was ACK! Get your arms up, Donald! then… oh please, oh please oh please have the 2 best routines of the season for a perfect undeniable 60.
I want this man to win!
Yeah Ladies.. Go Donald WTF!!!
Go DONALD FTW GO DONALD FTW
Oops Ladies Big BOO BOO…. Sorry… Not enough coffee this morning.
As soon as you start posting his phone number I’m going to have to yell at you.
Would be awesome to see Donald and Peta win!
@jess, the neck muscles on the footballers has always been a handicap for them in my opinion for exactly the reason you pointed out. The neck muscles make it look like their shoulders are up when they’re really not. You’d think the judges would have figured that out by now and learned to look for other signs that their frame is good, but I guess that’s expecting way too much from our 3 Stooges.
