Week 9! The Semi-finals. Each couple will be dancing the two dances that they have yet to learn this season. So let’s see where they could be placed

Comments: Some NFL players have done rather well in the Waltz this late in the season
- Season 3′s Emmitt Smith: 28 in Week 7
- Season 10′s Chad Ochocinco: 27 in Week 9
- Season 11′s Kurt Warner: 24 in Week 8
So seeing a predicted score of 17 for Donald isn’t all that far fetched to me. On the other hand there is more of a point difference when it comes to the Samba:
- Season 3′s Emmitt Smith: 30 in Week 10
- Season 6′s Jason Taylor: 23 in Week 8
- Season 7′s Warren Sapp: 25 in Week 10
- Season 10′s Chad Ochocinco: 25 in Week 9
- Season 12′s Hines Ward: 30 in Week 10
Again the predicted score for the Samba seems to be rather close as well… As for his placement? I dear hope not.

Comments: The only other celebrity that was a host in their 30s and did the Argentine Tango would be Season 10′s Erin Andrews who received a 28 in Week 8. While as Season 7′s Brooke Burke received a 21 for her Jive on Week 9… Do I see Maria with a higher score than those of her predecessors? Possibly… only time will tell.

Comments: Oddly enough the only two actors in their 30s that have done the Tango this late in the season are both from Season 3:
- Joey Lawrence: 28 in Week 8
- Mario Lopez: 30 in Week 9
On the other hand only Mario Lopez has done the Samba this late in the season and he received a 29. In my opinion William isn’t exactly the dancer that Mario was, but he has been getting the scores. Who knows what may happen come the semi-finals.

Comments: Unfortunately the only other singer in her 30s to have done the Quickstep this late in the season was Season 9′s Mya who received a 29 in Week 8. There is more information when it comes to the Salsa:
- Season 8′s Lil Kim received a 27 in Week 9
- Season 9′s Mya received a 30 in Week 9
In a lot of ways Katherine is a very strong dancer, so I’m looking for her to come rather closer to a perfect score this time around, if not get a perfect score.

It won’t matter, Packer nation will still get him over either Maria or Katherine.
I hope for once Len gives Donald and Peta the score they deserve.

Tony, I don’t think the difference will be a big issue.
Marianya predicts 55 to Katherine and William, 54 to Maria and 53 to Donald.
Donald is clearly the star the greatest number of fans and hardly will not win this season.
I’d like o put Katherine as second safe this week. She was in jeopardy last week, what I’m guessing doesn’t mean she was on the bottom 3. so, maria or william had fewer votes than her.
That’s why, IMO, the boot takes aim on Maria and Levy.
I’m gonna vote for Katherine. I think she deserves to be on the finals. I don’t be sad if Maria or Levy leaves.
I don’t think we should assume certain couples are or are not getting votes, that may backfire. Vote for who you think should win.

Anyway, my predictions:
William&Cheryl-Tango: I’m sure he’ll do fine. But I’m also sure they’re gonna overscore him. I hope it won’t be too much. 10-9-10.
William&Cheryl-Samba: I think we’re gonna see the best samba of the season, if Cheryl won’t dance around him too much. I hope they won’t overscore him this time. Of course if he dances really good, they have to give him another perfect score. But if he’s not that perfect, just give him 9s. My guess is he’ll be overscored. 10-10-10.
Katherine&Mark-Quickstep: Mark’s the best quickstep choreographer. That’s probably gonna be one of my fave Quicksteps. 10-10-10(if Mark doesn’t break any rules)
Katherine&Mark-Salsa: I’m sure she can nail it. But I’m not sure if they’re gonna give her the score she deserves. Perhaps they’ll underscore her just to make us remember that there’s another female contestant. 10-9-9
Donald&Peta-Waltz: I don’t think he can nail it perfectly. But I’m sure he’ll deserve three 9s. I hope we won’t see an 8 :-/. 9-9-9
Donald&Peta-Samba: If he’ll dance a great, perfect samba and the audience will love it, applause like crazy, perhaps he’ll get a perfect score. But! If he makes a small mistake, I’m sure they’re gonna take a point off. Probably 9-9-9.
Maria&Derek-Argentine Tango: I think there will be a lot acting instead of dancing in their AT. I like Derek’s ATs. But the one with Ricki Lake was overscored for me and I’m sure Maria won’t be as good as Ricki. So, they’re gonna overscore her again. 10-10-10
Maria&Derek-Jive: I’m sure we’re gonna hear a lot about her injuries again. I think its gonna be a average jive but they’ll overscore again. 9-9-10
I’m afraid William will be overscored. But perhaps they won’t overscore him for his samba, because Donald also dances a samba so, the difference-if there will be any- will be quite obvious. I mean, if William makes a mistake and still gets a perfect score, then I’m happy because they’ll have to give a perfect score for Donald too

-. Then again, this point of view doesn’t really work. Because last week two female contestants danced V.Waltz and Katherine was much better in my opinion. And in another week, three male contestants danced V.Waltz. For me, technically Donald and Jaleel was much better than William. But Donald and William got three 9s. Jaleel got three 8s. Just weird… So, even if Donald works his a.. off, they may underscore him. And they probably will…
I really hope Maria goes this week. I don’t know why they pimp her that much. She’s always overscored. Well, except Len’s scores last week. And oh, please don’t cry again Maria, it was so fake last week. I don’t like to see contestants begging for votes with crying, always talking about injuries etc.. too much drama…
Unfortnately, my guess is Katherine going home. I can’t understand how they ruined such a promising season. I thought it was gonna be the one of the best seasons ever. But all those pimping, early eliminations etc… I don’t know… Right now, it’s one of the worst seasons for me.
I just hope Maria don’t get an 8! Getting tired of hearing about Maria faking the injurys and she don’t deserve to be there. She really deserves to be in the semis. And I’ll be laughing my butt off when she advances in the finals!
I really hope the finalist are: Katherine, Donald, and Maria.
@nutcracker — Maria has not been overscored this season. That trophy goes to William and Cheryl who is hopefully packing up tomorrow night! The best final ever if Maria, Katherine, and Donald are in the finals!
I think you just better hope that Derek actually dances tonight, at this point Adam.
I think most people here know the score, Tina, and do vote for who they want to win.
Please try to ignore the obvious baiting – and consider that if someone seriously believes that Tony never gets good partners and always goes home early, they may be prone to extreme hyperbole.
Don’t have time to go through all posts now, but remember someone saying Katherine not getting votes from Uk, or that UK was probably not “crazy”voting—-saw this from Mark’s thread:

um…kind of hoping this person is wrong about Maria faltering with the jive because I think she has stamina for it. Hope Derek is getting those shots that Kymmie got after her accident with Hines, if it’s bad.

Of course, nutcracker – except that it’s easy to prove your opinion wrong about him getting good partners and we’ve done that numerous times here.
Nutcracker with Tony its Hit or Miss with his partners like he has gone far many times in the past Stacey Kiebler & Melissa Rycroft (placed 3), Jane Seymore & Susan Lucci (placed 6th), With Marissa Jaret Winokur (placed 4th) So i have to agree with Heidi that its not true that Tony always get bad partners and regardless if they weren’t all the better dancers there seasons when you factor both the votes and the scores thats how it played out in those seasons
I think Maria has not only shown the most improvement throughout this season, I think she’s the best dancer remaining. The other three just have not shown much improvement. My top 3: 1. Maria 2. Katherine 3. Donald

What is this show coming to? A 29 for a jive without any flicks and kicks, and that samba that Katherine and Mark did was a mess even before she messed up at the end.
wow, can you talk about pimping?? That was not a jive!! And I thought the ‘trios’ week was last week. That table made up for the 3rd person. WOW, Maria can’t dance. She needs to go. The weakest link next to William Levy.
I am disgusted with the judges tonight. The overscoring for William and Maria was ridiculous. Maria did little dancing in her so-called jive. Derek was showboating all over the floor though to draw attention away from what she was not doing. I do not get why they were not reprimanded for the “messing about” that went on?

Every single couple was over scored tonight and once you start down that road with William who really can’t dance all that well, you’re pretty much screwed.
Well, Donald wasn’t, really. But all three other couples certainly were.
Yup. Overscoring for all this week. Maybe not Donald but the other three equally overscored so all equaled out IMO.
Princess Heidi, no, no one can “prove” my opinion wrong. Because there’s no right/wrong here. They’re just opinions. Now, if I said Tony always went home in the first week that would be something you can prove wrong. But not my opinion. I don’t know if it’s talked here before, I wasn’t following this site. But my opinion is not changed.
@Jeff, I can’t say he always gets bad partners. But since season 8, he didn’t get a real good partner. Audrina and Chynna was good but those two seasons were just plain weird. So, they couldn’t stay on the show too much, definitely eliminated early. This season, I can’t say I hated Martina. I think Tony with Martina was interesting but unfortunately, they got eliminated in the first week. And I have a little theory about judges helping the popular pros/celebrities to be in the limelight by talking about them, praising them too much. But I need some more evidence about this

Oh my! Is there really only like .43 separating Donald and Katherine? Such a really small spread. Worried that fans think his football fans got it covered. Most on face book just call it in and don’t bother online. Hoping my friend’s boss had mentioned Donald on dwts, since she’s a Packer shareholder and on tv………she always had Palin and Ballas on…well, it is Fox
No, nutcracker, there ARE things that can be proven wrong – the “opinion” angle doesn’t work here. There IS right/wrong in some instances. You said that Tony needs someone like Katherine because he usually goes home “in the first weeks”. First, he’s HAD someone like Katherine, and second, he doesn’t always go home “in the first weeks”. Maybe you think he’s gone home too soon but it’s easy to prove he doesn’t always go home “in the first weeks”. That’s beyond opinion and stating a “fact” that is easily provable as true or false. In this case, in 7 out of 14 seasons, Tony has gotten 7th place or higher (and he only got 7th once, everything else was 6th or higher). That’s half the time and I don’t think any reasonable person would agree that’s “usually” OR the “first weeks”. That means in those cases that he stuck around till about Week 5, depending on how many contestants there were in a given season. That is HALF the season. So, he doesn’t “usually go home in the first weeks”. Perhaps it would be better to say he goes home “too soon for ME.” THAT would be opinion.
I didn’t think anyone would reply to me about this subject, so I didn’t wrote too detailed.

I’m watching the show since season 6. Since then, Tony was in top 6 for only three times. For me, this means “he usually went home early”. Ok, I didn’t said “for me” in my previous posts. But does it matter? It was my comment, so of course it is my opinion. Now, don’t get me wrong, if it is necessary, I’ll write “for me” but I don’t think anyone does that. I read many comments that those words were not included. Anyway…
Back to topic, even if Tony would won first 5 seasons, I’d say he usually goes early because since season 8, he’s not staying on the show much. And I’m sure they wouldn’t pair Melissa with Tony normally, it was just because of his partner was injured. So, I still think he goes home early. And being in top 7 for seven times in 14 seasons is not enough to convince me because the last time he was in top 6 was in season 8. It’s been a long time since then. And last time he was in top 7 was season 11. That’s what I call “early elimination”.
By the way, I didn’t said Tony needs someone like Katherine because he usually goes home in first weeks. I said I want someone like Katherine with him because Katherine is my fave this season. I’m not saying he’s never paired with someone like her(though its been a long time), I’m saying I wanna see him stay longer on the show again.
