A Memorial Day Message from Pure DWTS
I thought this Memorial Day image was perfect for the Pure TV Network to honor our military this Memorial Day. I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day remembering what’s most important and spending time together with family.

A big thanks to all of our Pure DWTS family of readers.

My father served in the Marines, he was able to have a wonderful life and raise three fantastic daughters, but now that he has passed on, I am so grateful that he was able to lead the life that was given to him. Some others weren’t so lucky.
My father is in my heart today, as well as everyone else with Military ties. They are the true meaning of heroes and I salute each and every one of them.
Thanks for posting this.
My late dad, Dick, served in WWI, my late hubby, Ken, in the Army Reserves. I wrote this poem in honor of Memorial Day.
BEATING OF THE DRUMS
Drums beating in cadence of fallen ones
Fathers, uncles, grandfathers, and sons
Marching in perfect step, a drum chorus
In memory of soldiers fallen before us
The flag is carried, stately and so proud
Oohs, aahs gasped by the awed crowd
Trumpets resound, taps blared in the air
For the freedoms that will always be there
In the United States of America, so grand
Those who fought took a very brave stand
To preserve freedoms for our country free
For every citizen, so our lives would be
Safe and secure for a future generation
God be with us, the USA, a free nation!

IN HONOR AND MEMORY OF THOSE WHO
BRAVELY FOUGHT TO SECURE A SAFE
FUTURE FOR A FUTURE GENERATION!
PROUDLY THE FLAG WILL WAVE FOR
THOSE WHO WERE AMONG THE BRAVE!
Hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day in the US and thanks to ALL those who gave everything to keep the Free World free.
Thanks for posting this, John.
My Dad was with the 102nd Infantry in Europe during WWII and he also served in the Korean conflict. Our family is fortunate to still have him with us and he’s pretty spry for someone who’s pushing 93. So many he served with made the supreme sacrifice or have since passed beyond the veil. Today, we honor them all.
Thanks everyone for sharing. It was great to read all of your thoughts this Memorial Day!
Perfect John. I loved this!! Lois, perfect poem too!!!!!
I showed this post to my dad who is a veteran–his lip quivered as he slightly nodded his head up and down, then he smiled……….THANK YOU!! From me and from him.
To all those who are so brave and do what I can’t imagine ever doing (fighting in a war and risking life everyday)…..thanks! It takes a special kind of person to that and put country and countrymen ahead of yourself! God Bless America and our heroes!!!
Beautiful story Sheery. I’m so glad you shared! Your dad sounds like a great man!
