DWTS 2nd Place Winner Katherine Jenkins Sings To Queen Elizabeth, Mark Ballas Shows Up For Support
Doesn’t Katherine Jenkins looks stunning? Today the Dancing With The Stars 2nd place winner sang to Queen Elizabeth at the Queen’s Jubilee festivities in London, England. The Daily Mail has a great feature on the festivities as well as gobs of pictures. Making it even more special, Katherine’s Dancing With The Stars partner, Mark Ballas, flew to London to give Katherine some support in a surprise visit. Check out her fun reaction upon learning about it…

Adding: And below is a fun take of them together with Mark in a Top hat….
More pictures at Hello Magazine.
She looks absolutely beautiful! 🙂 Thanks Vogue!
YW Megs! And another pic has been added with Mark. Check it out if interested. 😉 xx
She’s more suited to neutral makeup like that I think! Stunning! Her eye makeup was always dark colors during DWTS.
Mark in top hat BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA
sorry 😛
And I just noticed Shirley is behind them.
I like Mark in his top hat. I actually thing he looks really cute.
Be sure you see that Hello magazine link because you can see Mark inches away from the Queen holding kind of an icey stare? 😯 or maybe he’s bored or trying to look cool? lol
Yeah wiwin, another unfortunate lid choice by the Markster. 🙂
I just clicked-through to the link, Vogue. Looked to me like Mark was sizing the Queen up for that floor-crawling Wizard Waltz!!!!! Bwahahahahahahahaha! 😀
LOLLLLL
Vog or Mark is pissed the Queen didn’t recognised him!
Sorry ilike the first picture of Katherine, but not the second one with Mark, not keen on her dress or hat.
Our Queen is thinking whilst looking at Mark “Oh damn it’s that one, I thought I told them to invite Derek Hough”
@catherine, lol.
It is interesting in all the articles, they don’t mention who Mark is. they note she just finished the US version of DWTS, but don’t call him out as her partner.
And man, they get a 4-day weekend to celebrate? lucky them…
Seriously!! What’s the deal with the hats?? I really thought that Mark was kidding when he said he had to find a Top Hat but I guess he didn’t!!
@Cath
Girl…you are really cracking me up!!! Luv ya!!! <3 <3 <3
And yes…Katherine is much better in the first pic…don't like her in the second one!
Looks like Shirley Ballas in the background. I like her. Was nice to see Corky and Shirley together arm in arm at DWTS in May. They were supporting Mark as a family even though they are divorced. Sweet.
thats some hat katherine has i nthe second one lol very lady-gaga-esque
but then again Gaga would wear it with a meat fress or something so Katherine makes it look good 🙂
Er, Mark is probably Katherine’s plus 1. Although, it could have been an open event – Mischa Barton (of all people) was there as well.
Katherine looks AMAZING – and I dig her funky blue hat.
Katherine looks great! I like that color blue. It’s really nice.
Katherine looks beautiful! Mark looks … LOL! Mark is also in the UK for one of his childhood friend’s wedding this wknd. I think he tweeted he was rehearsing a song he was going to perform at it last week. Nice that he got to accompany Kat to this event. 😉
Kat looks stunning in the silver gown. She is such a beauty. Mark in the black top hat looks funny. I saw men in the Derby pictures wearing steel grey top hats as well and I wonder if the grey color would have suited him better. Nice to see Shirley in the background. Great pictures, thanks for sharing them!
What!! Am I slowly becoming a Mark fan… 🙂 This new Mark is earning some brownie points with me…
As far as the hats… Correct me if I am wrong, Isn’t it customary for functions involving the queen for you to be wearing a hat. Or is that just royal weddings?
There were tons of men there with no hats, Sandy. I think it more traditional for the women to have hats or facinators.
Oh thanks, good to know, When I get my invitation to the queens castle for the next royal function, I can dress appropriately…. LOL
And Shirley behind Mark 🙂
About the hats – the dress code is from the racecourse. In the Queen’s Stand on Ladies Day (which this was):
– Gentlemen must wear a jacket, collar and tie
– Ladies are asked to wear a fascinator or hat
The code for tomorrow’s racing made me laugh:
– Either black or grey morning dress with a top hat, service dress OR FULL NATIONAL COSTUME is obligatory for gentlemen on Investec Derby Day
– Ladies must wear formal day dress, or a tailored trouser suit, with a hat or substantial fascinator
(this is just for the posh stand ;-))
Generally, in the grounds, dress code is ‘smart’.
About the 4 day weekend: they tagged a ‘bonus’ day for the Jubilee onto a regular Bank Holiday Monday. Nice.
Glad the Queen is kicking off her weekend celebration by mingling with the masses (not…).
Hat aside, let’s be glad he didn’t wear the spats.
LOL about the spats SueB!!!
Shirley looks great! Glad her health is good…know she had a “scare”.
I think Gavin De Graw is to blame for Mark’s new hat obsession….sigh.
Going to bring kids to see Gavin tomorrow afternoon as a matter of fact, doubt I’ll get close enough, but if by chance I do, I’ll scold him for the influence on Mark’s head gear LOL.
Go Katherine, she looks stunning.. Looks like Mark is a happy camper and he should be-lol
Gaaaaaaawwwwwddddd, Really !!!!!
What are we trying to deduce here, Sherlock ??? Who’s the most pretentious ? So rare you could say someone looks overdressed for a formal occasion but Kath sure managed to overdo in that white “wedding dress” WOW. Boy, when the British decide to do over the top, they really GO FOR IT. And I guess I’m a party of 1 with this, but I like Kath’s voice but I just get this eternally fake feeling from her.
The blue dress and hat look great on her. Mark’s not too shabby either.
To me she doesn’t seem fake, rather shy and not necessarily comfortable in her own skin and with “celebrity”.
all i want to say is that Kath looks stunning and her voice is divine .. and i really like Mark in the top hat !! 🙂
Mark looks like a cute little monkey in the hat. (in the nicest way) Sometimes Chelsie calls him “Markie,” and in that hat he’s definitely a Markie. Like a little kid playing dress-up. On another note, I am glad that he and Shirley were respectful enough of the culture they were visiting to dress accordingly. It may not be the way we Americans do things, but that doesn’t make it bad or wrong to have a certain dress code. If you’ve ever been to the Kentucky Derby, you know that dressing the part for where you sit is part of the fun. (infield- casual, stands-hats, etc)
And Katherine looked lovely, dressed totally appropriately for her part in the festivities.
Er, they weren’t “visiting” Candace – Shirley IS British and that makes Mark half-British. He grew up there, as did Derek. I even wonder if Mark has dual citizenship.
Mark and Katherine look great. I love the way the British glam up for certain festivities.
Top hats and tails (morning jackets) are required apparel for the “Epsom” or Royal Derby, and Katherine’s gown, a far cry from a wedding dress, is mild compared to Dame Shirley Bassey’s, and quite stunning indeed. I think they all look amazing and appropriate and I’m glad they were able to have this experience. Thank you Vogue.
Great pics!
Mark always looks great in suits, and I actually think the top hat is CUTE! And Katherine is gorgeous no matter what she wears…Great to see them together again once more!
