Dancing With The Stars Peta Murgatroyd Helps Galleria At Sunset Mall Celebrate 16th Birthday
Galleria At Sunset Mall anyone? Yesterday, Dancing With The Stars champ Peta Murgatroyd made a special appearance from 1-3:00pm to help them celebrate “16 years of style”. According to @GalleriaSunset at twitter at twitter, Peta made the celebration even sweeter telling the audience all about Dancing With The Stars while guests enjoyed cake pops! You can view more pics like the pic seen above at Peta’s twitter and @GalleriaSunset at twitter. We should have sent a heads up to John to attend as she was very close by.

It is so interesting to see what the pros are doing in the off-season. They really are celebs in their own right, with all the personal appearances, commercials, dance studios, endorsements, dance/exercise videos, movies, etc. (Naturally, Julianne Hough) is the best example.
I would be interested in seeing an article here about which pros(other than Julianne) who you think are currently the most successful off-show and which ones you think have the most potential for success once they leave the show.
Impossible, Cheryl – everyone defines “success” differently. How do you define it? Artistically? Monetarily? I would wager that Mark feels that he’s a very successful musician, but there’s no way he makes tons of money doing that. So who are we to call him less successful just because he’s not out pimping watches or shoes for cash?? “Success” is a personal thing. None of Julianne’s movies have been blockbusters…but she gets pretty good reviews. So, is that failure or success??
ITA Heidi. It’s like you took the words right out of my mouth.
I agree with Heidi that everyone measures success differently. But I think you can look at the types of opportunities the pros are getting. My opinion is that Derek is by far getting the best opportunities with the movie roles and the co-hosting stuff he’s done. Karina and Cheryl both seem to be doing very well with endorsements. Maks seems to be having success with Ukrainian stuff but not so much over here (which I chalk up to his representation). Val and Mark seem to be concentrating on their personal music goals. Other than Tristan joining the Las Vegas show, I haven’t seen any of the others doing much more than personal appearances. That’s fine if that’s what they’re looking for, but it’s certainly not the same types of opportunities Derek is getting.
I’m psychic.
I still don’t think you can make that comparison, Donna. How do you know Derek isn’t being asked to do tons of endorsements but is turning them down (not everyone is about money, after all)? How do you know Maks hasn’t had offers over here for movies or other things that just don’t interest him? You can’t make a comparison because you don’t have the real data among the pros. Some would like to call Maks most successful just from a money standpoint, and Cheryl too – but they don’t know what Derek’s making, and they don’t REALLY know what Maks and Cheryl are making. Plus, neither Derek nor Mark have ever seemed interested in opening studios of their own – not even a little. So how do you compare them to Maks and Cheryl?? Cheryl doesn’t seem interested in the creative artistic side – so how do you compare her to Derek and Mark??
Simple answer – you can’t.
