DWTS Season 15 All Stars….Bristol Palin???

In Ted Casablanca’s source’s world, yes. In my world, no. Ted incited a minor riot on Twitter with this little gem:

It’s roughly seven weeks until the first rehearsals, assuming the September 24 start date rumor is for real. I would have to go back and look, but I don’t think we got legit-sounding rumors until 3 weeks or so before rehearsals the last couple seasons.

So, as I told my friends on Twitter, it is much too early for legitimate cast leaks coming out of DWTS. Of course, that said, this isn’t a normal season, is it? While I’m still inclined to think Ted’s got it wrong, you do have to admit that some things may not follow normal patterns this season. So….real or not real? I think that Bristol would do it in a heart beat. Despite her claims of missing her beloved Alaska and acting oh so superior to all those low class Hollywood types, she’s hardly been shunning the spotlight, what with her lawsuit causing reality show and all. So sure, Bristol would do it. But have they actually signed her or did they just talk to her? I would bet the latter – it’s all stars, they are probably talking to everyone. But I think they will wait to sign the tops of their list before going for people like Bristol. After all, the Palin stock has dropped rather precipitously since she was last on the show. I don’t think she’s a big “get” any longer.

Of course, I’m a reasonably rational person who actually watches the news. The same may not be said for Conrad Green and his crew. 🙂 Who knows how in touch they are…or how desperate.

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

Cool Entertainment Tonight Teaser On Dancing With The Stars All Star Season

Kirstie Alley was one of the most popular dancers of the show’s 14 seasons but it’s Gilles Marini who has judge Carrie Ann Inaba’s vote. The season eight runner-up could very well come back to go toe-to-toe with Christian De La Fuente of season six.

If politics come into play, Stacy Kiebler could be high up on the list, as the appearance of her boyfriend George Clooney in the audience could bring in the most viewers ever.

It’s not just the trophy-less stars who will get to come back — winners Donny Osmond, Emmitt Smith and Helio Castroneves could also get a chance at repeating their triumphant seasons.

Oh man, this is an interesting piece from Entertainment Tonight. I’ll let the video do the talkin’ this time!!! Just PLEASE ….No Bristol and No Kate!!! 💡 Lots of names thrown around. Be sure to read the link, watch the video below, and let us know what you think!

DWTS Pro Derek Hough Offers Dancing And Performing Advise To Kids

For those interested, be sure to hop on over to Pure Derek Hough when you have a chance. Our Miss Heidi recorded footage of Dancing With The Stars Derek Hough yesterday guesting on Dr. Phil. Derek offers some dancing and performing advice to kids wanting to win a talent show. I loved what Derek said about the importance of technique and “being remembered by the judges”. He’s so cute and loving for how he interacts and cheers the kids on. He’d make such a great Dad. A MUST SEE and, as always, Derek is such a doll.

Dancing With The Stars Val Chmerkovskiy A Big Hit At Women’s Night Out Event In Abilene, Texas

Last night, Dancing With The Stars pro Val Chmerkovskiy travelled to Abilene, Texas. He headlined a “Women’s Night Out” event. Below is a local report about him from the Reporter News. Sounds like Val was a big hit. You can read more on the night at the link.

Though the booths and the fashion show featuring clothes from the downtown shop Wild Ones were big draws, the headliner of the night was the appearance of Val Chmerkovskiy, one of the dancers from “Dancing With the Stars.”

“I pulled him up (on the Internet) and I was like, ‘Wow, he’s really good-looking,'” Kirkland said.

When Chmerkovskiy walked out on the runway, the majority of the crowd abandoned the booths and moved closer to the catwalk. He thanked the ladies for their warm welcome and then opened the microphone up to questions and answers. It was Jennifer Grothaus who sparked admiration and a bit of jealousy from the audience when she asked Chmerkovskiy to teach her a few dance steps.

As Chmerkovskiy took her in his arms, Grothaus reached up and touched his cheek as if she couldn’t believe he was really there. He led her through a series of steps, and gave her a spin and a hug, blushing before he let her go. The crowd gave Grothas a round of applause as she left the stage.

Grothaus said she asked him to dance because he had traveled so far to get to Abilene. She said she was glad he was a professional and did such a good job of leading her.

“I couldn’t think about my steps, seeing his eyes and putting his hands on me,” she said, a big smile lighting up her face.

And you can also see a fun instragram take of him here thanks to fan @Jegomex11 at twitter;

Dancing With The Stars Mark Ballas Lighting Up Las Vegas (Dancing Video, New Interview)

As you know from a previous posting with new interviews, etc., Dancing With The Stars pro Mark Ballas has been performing at the Dancing With The Stars Live in Las Vegas show this week. Well, the Morning Blend has interviewed him as well where Mark talks about the 6 numbers he’s in, his pets (did you know he has two dogs and three turtles?), his favorite partners on Dancing With The Stars, his parents and how he got into music and ballroom dancing, and more. You can listen to the fun interview in full here. Thanks to CMHagey You Tube, here’s some great footage of Mark dancing in the show as well. I love this song!

PureDWTS Karina Smirnoff, Tony Dovolani, and Cheryl Burke Attend 2012 ESPY Awards (Photos)

Wow, aren’t these some great takes of Karina Smirnoff, Tony Dovolani and his wife Lina, and Cheryl Burke?! The four represented Dancing With The Stars in fine form at the 2012 ESPY Awards last night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. You can see more fun photos of them at Zimbio Pictures. Gorgeous! What do you think?

Another special mention: Congrats to Tony! He and his team won the ESPY Golf tournament held on Tuesday which helped to raise $1 Million dollars to fight Cancer. You can read all about it and see a picture here.

UPDATE: Cheryl and Tony chatted with People Magazine last night about their cast wishes for the All Stars and mixing up the original pairings. More below. Cheryl was also trying to recuit celebs for Season 16. You can read more on that at the link.

“I would love to see winners, finalists and controversial characters come back,” Burke, 28, told PEOPLE at Wednesday’s ESPY Awards in Los Angeles.

“Every season there are those one or two contestants who really stand out,” she said. “If we have a mixture of winners, people switching partners, maybe I would be with my original partner, or Karina [Smirnoff] would be with her original partner, but having it mixed and matched, would be really interesting.”

Asked which of his partners he’d like to see back on the show, Dovolani, 38, had trouble choosing.

“Oh, my goodness. I would say, Stacy Keibler, Melissa Rycroft. And Susan Lucci was such a class act,” he said. “And with Marissa Jaret Winokur I laughed the entire time. But I’d be happy with anyone, because I had fun with every single one of my celebrities.”
