Dancing With The Stars Val Chmerkovskiy Releases New Single “Straight Outta Jersey”
Isn’t this cool? The picture above is the single cover art for Dancing With The Stars pro Val Chmerkovskiy’s new single “Straight Outta Jersey”. He’ll be releasing a new album soon. In the meantime and if you are a fan to Hip Hop and Rap, you can download Val’s new single at his newly designed official site here. Let us know what you think? It might be your cup of tea and it might not? I just downloaded it. I’m liking it…especially Val on the violin (wicked!!) which sets his hip hop apart from a lot of artists out there.
Stay tuned! There’s a new video coming for “Straight Outta Jersey” soon!

Ugh…. vulgar lyrics are no substitute for talent.
#1. I didn’t even have to listen to it to know that it would be vulgar. I love Val as a dancer, and I think both he and Maks can be true gentlemen when they want to be (which I find VERY SEXY), but both use ALOT of vulgar language. I know they are both MOMMA’S BOYS, so I wonder how Momma C. feels about that. JMHO, but I mean if you raise your sons to open doors and pull out chairs for ladies, those type of well mannered people don’t usually don’t use F this or F that every chance they get.
Gross. Another wannabee artist. Yuck!
Val should stick to what he does best, his talent of beautiful dancing and playing the violin are his true calling. Both of which he is simply spectacular at.. He should just leave it at that.
It is mind-boggling that someone with such incredible and enviable dance and violin talent would descend to such a low gutter level. Either Val terribly underestimates his American fans’ appreciation for what he does best or else he is getting some really bad career advice from someone. What a disaster. Its like Fred Astaire doing vulgar rap. The mind simply boggles at the weirdness of it all. It is hard to make sense of why Val did this. I hope he chalks it up to “big mistake” and moves on.
Good grief, I thought it was all filled with F-bombs from beginning to end after reading all the comments. It’s a rap song, they mostly ALL sound like that and they mostly all talk about the same things in the same way. He’s 25. 26? Most of the young people I know have at least a passing liking for this stuff. I sure don’t, but I like heavy metal.
Really Karen? I’ve always thought Maks and Val were very well mannered. Seriously, just because you don’t like rap and it’s not your cup of tea or if they swear sometimes, doesn’t mean they are bad people and unmannerly and that they shouldn’t persue other interests if they want.
+1 Evaine!
#7 Happy to happily still disagree with you. Have a nice Day
Not a fan of this type of music, but artistry is about expressing yourself however you feel you need to – if Val was inspired to do this, then that’s what he needed to do.
He tweeted about losing followers after some of his political comments….uh oh…
IMHO he should stick to dancing, classical & jazz music. He should do the hip hop crap as a hobby
Mark doesn’t sound great either lately. I mean, he really was never “great”, but he sounded much better with songs he sang after season 11 (sorry I don’t know the name of his cd off the top of my head).
I think it’s great that Val has multiple talents (as opposed to multiple personalities) and even I know he isn’t marketing his music towards the DWTS viewer.
I don’t follow Val on twitter but I think when I have checked his twitter page off and on that he has toned down his rapper personality and foul mouth. Especially during the DWTS season.
#12 I do agree he has musical talent that is not marketed to the typical DWTS viewer. I think if he did market his music to the DWTS audience first, he may have more success getting people to buy his Rap later on.
I disagree. I don’t see the general DWTS audience and the rap music fans being even remotely the same people.
Although if that is how Val wants to express himself, I commend him for following through on his dreams. Everyone should be so lucky.
DWTS and Rap have no correlation in the marketing aspect in general rap is geared towards the 20 something and DWTS is more geared towards middle aged women that being said their is a minor crossover but nothing substantial to make the typical DWTS viewer buy rap music so this is something totally different targeted towards different demographic
#15 Very well said. I was trying to get at that “minor crossover” that you referred to, just didn’t have the right words I guess. Glad you did!!!
Karen, lay off the congratulations.
I’m over it too Heidi!
Karen, that’s twice now that you’ve crossed a line. Three strikes and all that.
After reading all the comments, i don’t even think I’m gonna bother listening to it. Not my kinda music to begin with and after reading what y’all have to say about it…
