So the Dancing With The Stars: Live in Las Vegas show has wrapped up it’s first run, but, not without a big bang. Watch below for how Joey Fatone’s fellow cast members surprised him with a special N’SYNC performance to “BYE BYE BYE”!! Nice and wouldn’t this be a cool song for the pros to perform on the TV version of Dancing With The Stars? To Joey!
So, now Joey is off to Los Angeles to his new home. At twitter, he wonders on his new future?

I loved this! That was so sweet of his castmates to honor him.
Slightly off-topic, but I’m almost wondering if the Vegas show is just going to go on a brief hiatus (like a month or two) and then maybe start back up with a new cast in October or something – and if so, I wouldn’t be surprised if Lacey & Kyle were part of it. I just think it’s telling that Lacey has been oddly silent about the all-star season, given that she, along with Louis, seems to be one of the more vocal pros. I also feel like Kyle is not really campaigning particularly hard to get the last spot on the all-star season…and it almost seems deliberate. I wouldn’t be surprised if both of them have found that Vegas is a better gig for them than the tv show, and thus aren’t really jumping into the whole all-star hype…maybe with the knowledge that they’ll be back on stage in Vegas before long.

Good to know I’m not cray-cray
As I was telling a friend on Twitter, the DWTS Vegas show was FAR too successful (and likely profitable) for both DWTS AND The Tropicana for them to just hang up their shoes and say “Welp, it was a good run, but it’s over now!” I think they may already have inked a deal for another run, and are just waiting to see how things shake out with the all-star season to see what pros might be available to join the cast.
As for Lacey – as I mentioned in my review of the live show, she seems pretty content to be the head female pro in the Vegas show. I think she likes the idea of being a big fish in a small pond out there, as opposed to having to share the spotlight with the rest of the pros on the tv show. Added bonuses: the Vegas show seems more receptive to some of the more wacky choreography she likes to do, and her bf is actually in one of the Cirque shows out there. Either Lacey is being uncharacteristically tight-lipped about returning for the all-star season, or she already kinda knows she won’t be back…and is happy about it.
The local ABC dance lady (and also weather person) said that it was just going on hiatus. I bet it waits until the end of the season to start up again though.
I was just looking back at recent posts. Here is how much the three have campaigned so far:

Kyle: GMA, E News, KTLA, and Ryan Seacrest yesterday(though I didn’t post on this since all he did was say quickly to go to the official site to vote for him)

I’m going to be in Vegas in Oct., so I checked for tickets for DWTS yesterday. Right now you can buy tickets in October on Tuesdays only. Not exactly sure what that means, but they are planning on being back.
That video is AWESOME! Its sad but I actually know that entire dance but I guess that is becuase I was a kid obsessed with the band when I was a kid. He was definately shocked but jumped right into the dance. They should have had Lance, Chris, and J.C. there to surprise him (I left out Justin since he seems to forget he was in the band)

I think you’re right, Courtney. I also wonder if the Tuesday show is so any pro voted off the TV show has a week to “practice” for the Vegas show. Looks like the run starts Sept. 20 and goes until Nov.18 for now. Not sure why they don’t have some shows on the weekend when more people (like me!) are there.
If I remember correctly, the show was dark on Tuesdays in the regular run that just ended. Don’t really know the significance of doing a switcheroo, but maybe there’s a market for Vegas shows that are open on Tuesday nights? IDK. Seems like most Vegas shows are dark on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, when there aren’t so many tourists coming to Sin City – then they double up and offer multiple shows on the weekends. So maybe there is a demand for a show that is open during that downtime at the beginning of the week? Who knows.

@DwtsGossip on twitter is saying rumors has it these are some of the pairs.. thoughts? Joey and Peta Helio and Kym Gilles and Karina Apolo and Cheryl Drew and Chelsie Emmitt and Anna Im all for this! Hopefully its true!
I would be fine with these pairings and actually think this couid be it.
Hmm, I kind of hope those aren’t true. Mostly because Apolo is my favorite and I’d prefer him with someone else. Also I would think Helio is not tall enough for Kym?

Well, if you read @DWTSGossip’s twitter feed, she called these “preliminary” and she responded to someone and claimed the producers were still working it out. So….
Apolo is one of my faves too. Please don’t let it be Cheryl who gets him.
Oh no, I am not liking those pairs. I can’t see Helio with Kym nor can I see Apolo with Cheryl. Say it ain’t so. Apolo is one of my favs too.
Well I said last year that I was not going to support Cheryl this season in any way, so I hope that this is not how it plays out. I was hoping for an Apolo and Karina matchup.
I like most of those pairings. I think I would like Joey/Peta, Gilles/Karina (DEFINITELY), Drew/Chesie, Emmitt/Anna. It would suck if Apolo was with Cheryl, but there aren’t many options for her if she doesn’t get a past partner. Helio and Kym seem kind of weird, but I’m okay with it. I didn’t care for Helio that much. And while I like Kym, I like Chelsie, Anna, Karina and Peta more.
I hope they work it out fast, if they’re still doing so. The announcement is not far away, thank goodness!
I like it because I want both Anna and Karina to have a chance to go far and I think these pairs will do that. Also, I think Joey and Peta will have fun and I don’t see Kym and Helio as a problem at all, I think she can get good and entertaining dancing out of him. I understand that it’s just preliminary and only rumor so I don’t want to get too excited about it either way, by being to happy or too upset over it. Sure can’t wait til Monday.
I’m kind of with @Kat – not sure how the Helio/Kym match would work height-wise. I’ve seen his height listed at 5′ 8″. If true, Kym is almost as tall as him without even putting shoes on. Even Emmitt is only 5′ 9″ according to the media.
In the end I am sure that I will be pleased with all of the pairings and will soon have a favorite.
