In a slight break from our regular programming, I wanted to point out a new dance show that will likely be of interest to many DWTS fans. The show is called A Chance to Dance and is showing on Ovation TV. Check out this preview of A Chance to Dance:
We’ll be following the 7 episode series of Chance to Dance on Pure SYTYCD, so if you love dance then head over their for all the action.
I’m sure many of you are like me and don’t have Ovation TV in your cable package. The great thing is that A Chance to Dance is streaming the show live on the Chance to Dance Facebook page at the same time as traditional TV. Wouldn’t it be nice if DWTS would stream each episode?
I’ve seen a bunch of preview clips for A Chance to Dance and it looks quite entertaining. Plus, it looks like it will show an interesting inside view into the competitive dance world. Plus, Michael Nunn and Billy Trevitt look like they’ll be pretty funny on camera.
Today Dancing With The Stars Cheryl Burke co-hosted Access Hollywood. One of their interviews included one with Dancing With The Stars All Star contender and speed skater, Apolo Ohno. They discussed whether Apolo will be skating or not in the 2014 Winter Olympics. Here is a little take….
“Today is the day that I’m supposed to announce whether I put my name back into the pool that’s going to continue on to compete in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics,” Apolo told Kit Hoover and guest co-host Cheryl Burke.
But the star is still trying to decide on the road ahead.
“I’m still not sure yet,” the 30-year-old said.
Apolo said he felt Olympic fever while in London working for NBC – but didn’t want to get carried away while pondering his Olympic future.
“The games are in my blood… it’s the best feeling in the world,” he said, but explained that he did not make up his mind about competing again while covering the Summer Olympics. “I couldn’t make the decision while I was in London. It’s just the wrong place to make a decision because you’re somewhat biased and swayed towards, ‘Yes, I want to do it again.’”
More here including a fun picture and look for the video to be posted soon in Access Hollywood’s “WATCH” section to see if he talks on Dancing With The Stars as well. LOVE HIM!!! I hope he says YES to skating again in the Olympics!
ADDING: Below is the interview and he does talk about Dancing With The Stars;
KFBK radio interviewed Helio Castroneves about driving in the Grand Prix of Sonoma in northern California August 24th-26th. They also chatted a bit about Dancing With The Stars. He’s excited and tells the radio crew they need to vote for him because that’s how he won the first time. Helio says he and Chelsie were meeting this week for the first time and then they were going to take promo pics for which you can see some ‘behind the scenes” pics here. He ends the interview pleading for votes again. So cute!
Exclusive to Entertainment Weekly, Dancing With The Stars has a new on-line Emmy campaign video to help them win for “Outstanding Reality Competition” which they’ve been nominated for six times without a win. They’ve decide to use this season’s All Stars cast to help them make a pitch for it. Check it out at Entertainment Weekly. It’s a MUST SEE!! Pamela Anderson oozes. Drew Lachey is a hoot at the end. Wow, and did you know 500 people work behind the scenes?
The Emmy Awards take place on Sunday, September 23rd on ABC at 7:00pm ET. To view a list of all the Emmy nominations for Dancing With The Stars this year (and some reactions), see our previous posting here.
Thanks to @LinzeyReed for the heads up on the video.
