People.com has a new article up with news about Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van Amstel being the 13th couple to dance on Dancing With The Stars. However, there is more. If you scroll down the page, you can view a brand new Dancing With The Stars All Stars commercial and it’s HOT! Be sure you see it here (No embedding option, sorry)!!
“The message is clear”!
Update: And here’s the promo embedded. Thanks to ABC….
It is 7:20 in the east and, as you might have guessed, nary a mention of DWTS. You might have guessed this because of the interesting confluence of the Republican National Convention and Hurricane Issac. Of course, GMA will beat the crap out of both topics, but right now the emphasis is on Issac what with the 7th anniversary of Katrina coming up on Thursday…and Issac is heading for New Orleans.
Prince Harry on Lockdown?? Come on, GMA, really??
ETA 1: Okay, so 6:30 and they just teased it and the winner and partner are both in the studio. They showed them in silouette. Hmmmm….number 13 and partner. Looks like Sabrina. But that hair could also be Lacey, although Louis is the one in NYC right now.
ETA 2 Vogue here: Please LEAVE PRINCE HARRY ALONE! I love him!
ETA 3: They show all three contestants and they dance teasing us some more. Wow Lara, step up revolution.
ETA 4: Heidi’s back!! I love Prince Harry too – let a young guy have some fun. Of course, I think he had more fun in Vegas than even Derek typically does, but geez!!
ETA 5: Geez, GMA pimping Dance with Me once again. Poor Maks, he has it so rough. :::rolls eyes:::
ETA 6: I would like to thank GMA for their bit on Ryan Gosling…holy hot 6 pack!!! Is it hot in here??
ETA 7: Okay, the announcement is coming up next at 8:15! Stay tuned!
And the Winner is…..SABRINA BRYAN!! To the surprise of absolutely no one, and after more pimping about this than the All Star cast as a whole.
And Louis is her partner just as we said he would be. Louis disses all his previous partners, claiming that he can go all out with the choreo now. And they are saying it’s exciting because she was chosen by the public. Er…yeaah. Let’s see what happens when she’s up against the power houses of All Stars.
A couple screen caps…
And here is where I make a crack about how I was right…and Marky caught his plane finally.
Vogue here with some video coverage:
ETA 8: The first of the Pepsi-sponsored “After Party” segments is set to start at 9 AM EST. Not really sure how this works, buthere’s the link, if you want to check it out…I’ll be keeping an eye out to see what it’s all about. Hopefully -Court-
ETA 9: Looks like both Vogue and I are having problems accessing the After Party – I only caught about 20 seconds of video before my computer started buffering endlessly. The basic gist I got is that it’s just a recap of old Sabrina footage from season 5, and Sabrina answering questions submitted by viewers on Twitter. Maybe Vogue will be able to find and post video of it later -Court-
ETA 10: This is Vogue again and here is some coverage of the After Party today. I loved the part with Tony! He talked of how he choreographs, what Melissa is like now versus when he danced with her the first time, and how stiff the competition is going to be this season. More below (let’s hope this works. Be patient. It stops and goes a lot)…
Pictured above is Cheryl Burke, Karina Smirnoff, and Derek Hough. The three Dancing With The Stars pros were seen this weekend attending the ‘Asahi Summer Takeover’ at the Marquee Club, Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. Pics above courtesy of Zimbio Pictures. Be sure to visit Pure Derek Hough for more pics and coverage of this event as well.
The Baltimore Sun has a new article up where Helio Castroneves compared driving an Indy car to dancing on Dancing With The Stars which are similar in his opinion. You can read why below.
“There are no secrets,” Castroneves said, when asked how competitors on Dancing with the Stars are able to perform intricate moves so quickly. “Dancing is just like racing. You don’t learn choreography. They just give you steps to do and you do them over and over and over. It’s very much like what I do in racing. When I’m driving the race track, it’s all about repetition.”
He has to learn when to brake, where the bumps are, where the corner is tight.
“I learn all that by going ’round all the time,” Castroneves said.
The person who does it best, who gets the rhythm right, usually wins in both competitions.
You can read more at the link as Helio also talks of how doing the show again will give his daughter “a different close-up look at her dad. It also teaches the lesson that anything you want to do well comes with hard work.”
Also, good luck to Helio today in the GoPro’s Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma, California today. The race starts at 4:30p.m ET. He has secured 4th place on the grid. Should be an interesting race.
Yes, there is a box in the video. Don’t try to make it go away because it won’t. And that’s all I’m going to say about that. I swear a LOT. Anyway, some of you may remember a month or two ago that Derek and Peta were in London together. This is one of the things they were doing. Red or Black is a prime time game show in the UK starring Ant and Dec (coincidentally or not owned by Simon Cowell) and they have famous people on every week as part of these games that the contestants have to “bet” either red or black on. You can win…was it 250k pounds or half a million?? Can’t remember.
As we reported to you in a previous posting, Kym Johnson is helping to host “Star Fit” on the BeFit Channel. Below you can watch her with “Expendables” star Dolph Lundgren. Check out how he teaches her some wicked martial arts moves. These two are hot together! I wonder if he’d ever do Dancing With The Stars?
Speaking of Kym and Dancing With The Stars, Sophisticated Hairstyle Guide has a new interview with Kym. She discusses make-up, hair, and Dancing With The Stars. Here is what she said about the cast and All Stars partner Joey Fatone. She’s expecting it to be “intense”.
How does it feel to be paired with Joey Fatone again for the All-Star season of Dancing With The Stars? What’s his secret dance weapon?
He has the funniest personality; the audience loves him. He’s really warm and friendly and he’s a performer. He was in N’Sync forever and he’s a natural performer, so that’s going to be his draw card. But everyone is so good; there are six previous winners, so someone who was supposed to come in first could go home the first week. Hopefully it’s not Joey and I. It’s definitely going to be very intense.
Louis Van Amstel promoted his LaBlast program on VH1’s The Morning Buzz this past week. He gave hosts Carrie and Jason some workout advise. The shake their hips and do some “hot and sexy” dance moves. At the end they ask if Louis will be dancing on Dancing With The Stars for the All Star season. He doesn’t know and the waiting has been hard for him, but, Monday morning we will find out. More below…

Not only has Pamela Anderson been readying for Dancing With The Stars, she, along with Paul McCartney, has been trying to recently save an elephant from India named Sunder. Sunder has suffered multiple injuries after being mistreated by his handler and kept chained in the dark for seven years at the Jyotiba Temple in Maharashtra. Below is a quote from the Times India from Pamela….
“I am in tears over the plight of the little elephant, Sunder, who you so kindly gave to Jyotiba Temple with the best of intentions. I am sure you are also crushed by what has been done to this little soul. He is the age of one of my sons, and as sensitive as anyone’s child. Like other victims of abuse, he will be scarred for life mentally, as he already is physically”, writes Anderson, the mother of two. “I’m sure you feel as I do that elephants are precious creatures of God, and it is a crime against Heaven that he could have been allowed to be treated like this. Sunder must be rescued without delay. May everyone, including me, count on you, please, to save this youngster?”
Good news! Yesterday (Thursday), the Indian Express reported that Sunder will be moved from the temple to a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centrer near Bangalore after an intervention by the country’s Forest Minister Dr. Patangrao Shripatrao Kadam.”
Huge props to Pamela and everyone who helped to save Sunder and not giving up! She’s already a winning All Star in my opinion. You can see and read more on Sunder here.
Not only will Joey Fatone be dancing on this season of Dancing With The Stars, we can watch him on his new TV show called ‘My Family Recipe Rocks’ on Saturdays on the Live Well network. He was a guest on King 5 in Seattle to talk about them. On Dancing With The Stars, he talks of how nervous he was to dance in season 4 and how much fun he had. He’s excited to do this season since he knows and is already friends with the cast. He’s been talking “smack” to them already trying to get into their heads. Lots more below….
