Bruno Tonioli Interviewed On New Book and Dancing With The Stars In The UK and US

Bruno Tonioli has written a new autobiography called “Bruno: My Story”. In the book, Bruno writes all about his life, career, and doing both Dancing With The Stars shows in the UK and the US. Doing some promo work for the book, below is a take from a new interview with The Sun on how Bruno started dancing.

“When it came to the stylish and graceful art of ballroom dancing, my dad was a king of the clubs, a prowling tiger and a wonderfully natural mover,” Bruno recalls.

“He was besotted with Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. On a Saturday night he would take my mother dancing and when I was older I would accompany them, watching as they glided around the floor.

“Later, as I learned to dance myself, I’d stand on my mother’s feet as she taught me the steps that made up the jive and the cha cha cha.”

You can read lots more at The Sun including Bruno’s thoughts on what Los Angeles is like and trying drugs once. There are some fantastic shots of him too from his youth. Great interview!

More Photos Of Stars Arriving For Dancing With The Stars 15 Rehearsals And Taking Breaks

The Daily Mail has a feature up on some of the stars of Dancing With The Stars arriving to rehearsals and taking a break. Here are just a few pictures today of Kelly Monaco and Kym Johnson (gorgeous as always) in Los Angeles and Cheryl Burke in Dallas (I don’t know why, and not that I have issues with it, but, I’m shocked to see her smoking). You can see more pics at the link. I Need My fix has some as well of some of the other celebs. Be sure to see lots of fun takes of Derek and Shawn at Pure Derek Hough as well as Miss Heidi delivers. 😀

Pamela Anderson’s Mother Is So Excited For DWTS All Stars, Fan Homage To The Show

USA Today interviewed Pamela Anderson. As you know, she’s vowed off men for the Dancing With The Stars All Stars season. However, Tristan isn’t making that an easy vow to keep. And did you know Pam’s mother hoped she’d get Tristan as a partner? So cute! More below including Pam’s plans of taking Tristan to Rio. Be sure to read the link for more.

Ironically, it was Anderson’s mother Carol who was originally the fan of MacManus, the thick-accented professional dancer from Bray, County Wicklow. MacManus has danced with Nancy Grace and singer Gladys Knight in previous seasons of DWTSand earned instant heartthrob status with his charm and looks.

“We were talking about partners and it was my mother who said, ‘I hope you get Tristan, because he’s sexy. You’ll like him.’ ” says Anderson. “And here I am. (My mother) is so excited. She’s coming to the first show.”

Anderson is off to Rio Wednesday with MacManus along for the ride. “I’m going to take my sweaty Irishman down there,” she laughs, pointing out that it’s a work visit.

But it doesn’t stop her from dreaming. “I’m 45 he’s 30. But maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be,” says Anderson, before catching herself. “Not good. Not good.”

12 more days, All!! I’m with Pam’s Mom. I’m excited. Speaking of, enjoy this awesome homage to the new season by PureDWTS reader Linde this morning!! This is too fun. See if you don’t agree…

And to prove the point, my traditional (does the fifth time out count as tradition?) homage to the season, with a hefty nod to Freddie Mercury:

Joey has danced
night after night
Melissa is ready
and committed to fight
Kirstie and Pam
Apolo too
have had their share of sand kicked on their shoes
and all came through

These are the All Stars – my friends
and Shawn keeps on dancing – ’til the end
these are the All Stars
these are the All Stars
no time for Bristol
’cause these are the All Stars… on the floor

Helio’s had time
and Kelly as well
to know that life and living and everything that goes with it
all goes to hell

Sabrina’s returning
in redemption shoes
Drew considers it a challenge, but rise to it he will
while Gilles prays not to lose

These are the All Stars – my friends
and Emmitt will keep dancing – ’til he’s spent
these are the All Stars
these are the All Stars
no time for hoofers
’cause these are the All Stars – my friends
