Saying Good-bye To Pamela Anderson So Soon On DWTS All Stars Elimination Interviews
Well, we all knew the first elimination would be sad to see happen! It’s too bad the producers didn’t work it out to have the first elimination in the second week. Though, in the end, as Court and Heidi have posted, this would mean more “double eliminations” along the way. Anyway, here’s to Pamela Anderson and wishing her much luck with her career. I’ll always remember her for bringing so much sensualism to Dancing With The Stars and having this way of mixing the show up. And wow, those long legs and her splits….not to mention she has one of the best heads of long hair ever. Let’s hope Pam snags the Broadway number she’s dreaming on because she is indeed more than just a pretty face and she can “dance” too despite what happened Monday night. I love her animal rescue work as well!!
With that said, here is she and Tristan MacManus on Jimmy Kimmell last night. Note how Jimmy highlights Pam’s special way of doing the splits too.
Also, below is Tristan by himself with On The Red Carpet. He said Pam was disappointed and he apologized for her not being able to talk with George. On their elimination and in Tristan’s famous words, “it is what it is”.
We hope to have more elimination coverage of them a little later. Picture above courtesy of On The Red Carpet. You can view more pictures of them and the whole cast here.
ADDING: Here is Tristan on Access Hollywood….
ADDING #2: You can watch Tristan on Good Morning America today here. He said he really enjoyed Pam, her sense of humor, and more. They ask him who he thinks has the edge this season. Tristan is not sure, but, he’s rooting for Val and Kelly to win. He’d realy like to see them do well.

Pam does have/had long hair, but she wears extensions for thickness and extra length. You can’t bleach your hair that blond for so many years and expect it to stay as long and healthy as it was originally! Just about every long-haired celebrity female wears extensions for the same reason, and sometimes wear lacefront wigs so that they won’t over-damage their own hair with all the bleaching, coloring and heat-styling. Hair upkeep is an expensive proposition in Hollywood.
I like how he stays so positive. I like also very much how they did it in a way she wanted to, really got into the character of the song. Too bad they didn’t have more time to rehearse and get her up to speed. Good luck to Pam with all that lies ahead.
Thanks Guys!! I love how Tristan is positive too. He was on Good Morning America today as well and by himself. I thought for sure Pam would be a part of if it too? I feel kind of sorry for him having to do almost all the interviews by himself. A link for it has been added in the first post if you want to check it out.
I think even Pam realized her elimination was inevitable after her performance/ trainwreck on Monday night. Her after show interviews were hard to watch, I could tell she was close to tears and so disappointed in herself.
But I can’t really feel all that sad for her because she didn’t make enough time in her schedule for this. WTF was she thinking?!? That this was gonna be a cake walk? And while I can understand her reluctance to do the media gauntlet after such disappointment, I think it was extremely unprofessional of her. This is after all the business she’s in, and I don’t think she did herself any favors with regard to future work.
Who I really feel bad for is Tristan, having to do these interviews by himself when the first question out of everyone’s mouth is “where’s Pam?” You can only put a positive spin on this for so long before it gets old. Shame on you Pam!
Linde, as much as I love Pam, you are right about how she did’t make the show a priority and now she’s paying for it.
Oh well – if nothing else, maybe this is just a “live & learn” moment for Tristan: that sooner or later, every pro has a dud partner. Not every partner is going to be as cool & fun as Gladys, or as hard a worker as Nancy…at some point, everyone has a partner that’s either not very motivated (Peta had Metta, Cheryl had Rob), is an emotional wreck (Karina had Aaron, Derek had Shannon), or is just plain volatile (Kym & Jaleel, Kym & David AG). It’s just a matter of taking a lemon and trying to make lemonade – and just accepting it, learning from it, and moving on if the lemonade gets sent home first
At least Tristan’s free to do pro dances now.
I feel bad for Tristan, too, having to do those interviews alone.
I like that he’s rooting for Kelly and Val. That’s interesting-I wouldn’t have assumed that he and Val were very close, but what do I know. And they may not even be and he has some other reason for rooting for them. Anyway, maybe the Tristan fans will give them their votes now. That would make me happy, as they were my favorites last week
Hmmm, I realize Pamela is disappointed in herself and probably quite emotional. I find it embarassing to cry in public too. However, it’s not only unprofessional to shirk your obligations, it’s disrespectful to your pro partner.
Of course Tristan is a gentleman, as always. He’s very good at keeping things in perspective rather than getting all spun up about something he can’t change. He’ll just chalk this up to experience.
Don’t know if Tristan and Val are best buddies, but Tristan seems to get along with everyone. He’s also aluded to feeling a bit of a bond with Val and Peta because they became Pros together. So he’s rooting for his “classmates”.
I fell in love with Pam in her first season, and I will continue to be a fan (and will always remember not to judge a book by it’s cover), but the blush has come off the rose just a little for me – I wish she had pulled herself together to do the interviews.
Not everyone can be a good dancer, and even good dancers get voted off all the time – boy, haven’t we all learned that over the years. But if you sign on the dotted line, I think you should be in it all the way – from the glittery hopeful start to the heartbreaking tearful end. It’s the nature of the show – all but three couples gets voted off sooner or later. (I’n not counting any of the finalists as being “voted” off per se)
I hate to think of Pam as a dud partner, but you’re right Court. Wish it weren’t so, nonetheless.
@Cidra-that makes perfect sense. I’d already forgotten that Val, Tristan and Peta began as pros the same season.
Hopefully Tristan has “paid enough dues” and gets much better partners, like Val did this season, and Peta this season and last.
I agree 100% sheery! I’m a bit worried that because he’s so easy to work with, like Tony he’ll become TPTB’s go-to guy for the unlikely-to-succeed celebs — the older ones, the timid ones, the tempermental ones, or the obviously 2-left-footed ones. Still, I’ll try to stay positive and hope for a better partner for him next season.
Tristan is pure Irish class. I generally like Pam and wish her well but if sticking her partner with these solo interviews was her doing, she’s proving to be a poor sport in addition to dancer.
I really like Pam and I’m sorry to see her leave so soon. However, I am disappointed in how she lacked commitment to the show and rehearsing properly, and in doing so she very much disrespected Tristan. Now she has taken that a step further by ditching her partner at interview time. I’ve lost a good amount of respect for her.
I completely agree, Courtney. Tristan has had some great partners for being such a new pro. I know a lot of people complain that he “always” gets the dud partners or the older ladies, but let’s be honest. Like her or not, Nancy was a very well-known person to American audiences, and they went all the way to 5th place in his first season, for heaven’s sake! And then Gladys? She’s one of the biggest stars ever to be on the show. I think that speaks highly of Tristan that they put her with him. And as for Pamela… Clearly the judges thought they would be a hot couple, and they were. Just maybe they didn’t have enough time to really build a connection with each other since they clearly didn’t make enough time to rehearse.
I do dislike the fact that Pamela didn’t feel able to do the post-elimination interviews, other than Jimmy Kimmel. Perhaps she was embarrassed or perhaps she was just over it and ready to move onto other things. I have a feeling that she was supremely disappointed in her performance Monday night, so I suspect she was just upset about things. I agree, it’s unprofessional, but I’d rather not see her than see a train wreck because she’s too upset. As usual, though, Tristan was a class act. And as Courtney said, hopefully he’ll be in a good many pro dances for the rest of the season.
