Bristol Palin Hopes Week 2′s Dance on DWTS Will Bring Smiles And Be Entertaining (Interview)
Below Bristol Palin talks to SarahNet.net about making it through the first week of Dancing With The Stars. She talked what goes on ‘behind the scenes’ of Dancing With The Stars including how they pick their costumes and their songs. They also run through some of her unexpected support. IE: Chaz Bono. Then Bristol gives a teaser for her and Mark’s second dance. “It’s going to be so awesome and so ME”, Bristol says while giggling. Lots more below…
Bristol’s has penned a new blog for Access Hollywood. Here is a take where she teases on her quickstep again saying it won’t be “just any quickstep”.
And this second week will be a blast!! We’ll be doing the quick step, which is supposed to be fast and powerful. But we won’t be doing just any quick step!
Mark had to tweak our moves a bit, because I get to use my favorite song… I doubt anyone’s ever done to the quick step to this. Though I can’t tell you what it is just yet, I know you’ll love it. It’s my anthem, the type of song I sing around the house.
Will my love for the song make me move a little better? We’ll see!
Let’s face it. I have a lot of room for improvement, and hopefully you guys can see a difference from week to week. I’m trying hard to get better, and I appreciate Mark’s patience and instruction! I also appreciate all of you voters!

The only thing putting a smile on my face would be to see Bristol land in the bottom 2 and get eliminated.
Go Bristol. You are really endearing and I love watching you!
I’m with you, Sandy. Bristol doesn’t bug me as much as she does some people, but I just feel like there will be this tense feeling about the show until she’s off. Like, which better dancers will she knock out? Melissa? Sabrina? Someone more unexpected? I know DWTS is very much a popularity contest, and Bristol isn’t a terrible dancer. It’s just that, IMO, the others are all so much better, and I’d be so sad to see anyone else go before her, other than Kirstie. I was ok with Pam last week, and I’d be ok with Kirstie, but everybody else…like I said, I’d just be very, very sad.
I’m actually finding Bristol to be one of the more enjoyable to watch this season. She more relaxed, and I think that comes with age and realizing she cant do anything about other people’s negative opinions of her. She’s less inhibited, has a nice relationship with Mark and is out to do her personal best, for as long as that might carry her. No, she’s not the most natural dancer, but watching her overcome her inhibitions and grow as person is, to me, endearing. It might be because I work with teenage girls, and watch them struggle with self image and overcoming ridicule, that I want Bristol to do well. I do not think she’ll win, but I won’t mind watching her for a couple more weeks.
I will not be voting for Bristol, but I hope she does well. Every season someone goes home too soon and someone stays on to long. My least favorite seasons are the ones when I know who will win before anyone steps on the dance floor.
