DWTS15 Chelsie Hightower And Helio Castroneves Talk About The Double Elimination, Bristol Palin, And More
Chelsie Hightower and Helio Castroneves did a segment on Access Hollywood today. They were asked straight off about the double elimination coming up on Monday night which they weren’t expecting until the following week. Then Helio chats about how difficult it was to be in the bottom two this past week, but, they are grateful to still be in the competition. Kit and Billy didn’t understand how Bristol made it with the low scores she had. Helio says it’s all about votes and she and Mark must have them. Helio thinks people relates to Bristol’s shyness. With all that said, Helio and Chelsie hope to keep working on their dancing, try and be flawless, and do their best. More below in detail….

You know, for a prude, Billy Bush sure likes the sexual innuendo. *eyeroll*
So true. These two are my two least favorite interviewers of ALL of them.
ITA, Vogue & Evaine.
I didn’t connect much with Helio in his first season – doubtless due to my excessive enthusiasm for MelB – but gotta say I like very much his stance in interviews, alone or with Chelsie. Looking at their live interviews only, IMO Helio and Apolo come across very positively, Drew/Gilles a good deal less so (and Gilles’ tweets:ugh)and I’m on the fence about Emmitt.
Bush is a prude? Riiiiiight. What a fraud. Cannot stand either of them and their creepy schtick and it takes away from the interviews. Helio’s right about the pros being stars and having to get the vote out.
I loved Helio on his season and voted for him all the time. He was the whole package for me and just watching him dance put a smile on my face as he always looked like he was having a ball and turned out to be a fantastic dancer. My favorite dance routine was seeing him do the Quick Step in his fantastic bright yellow suit. I think that dance routine was my all time favorite Quick Step ever. I still love watching it as it showcased everything Helio was about. Seeing him in the bottom two just crushed me as Bristol was called safe. His jive was really good and fun to watch. His worst technical comment was his knees were too high – huh? Not trying to be mean, but I thought she was the worst dancer and should have gone home. What I don’t understand is her mom is the controversial personm, not Bristol so why have her back in the first place? Joey may not have been his best technically, but he should still be there over Bristol. JMO
Helio has totally grown on me. He’s now just a notch below Apolo. His easy-go-lucky personality seems completely at odds at the nerves of steel required to do what he does for a living. I really hope he and Chelsie don’t go next week. I agree Bristol should go, as should Kirstie. Anything short of both of them going isn’t a just result. Having Bristol go isn’t enough for me.
