Interviews With DWTS Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd On Upcoming Tango and More

Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd were on Good day LA yesterday! They set us up for the Tango they are doing this upcoming week on Dancing With The Stars. Gilles weak spot is his frame and Peta corrects him on it if he breaks it. They love the Tango and Gilles really wants to make it a “spectacle”. Peta comments on how they were going to have a 10 hour day of practice after the interview and she’s not planning to let him get away with anything. Good job Peta! Keep cracking that whip. I love how she is a perfectionist.

In the interview below with Hollyscoop and the Just Dance 4 event this week, Gilles talks of the differences between dancing now versus the first time he danced on Dancing With The Stars. He says it’s “more cut throat” and he “can not make any mistakes”. His injury has been “difficult”, but, he’s “not going to complain. He’s here to entertain.”

ADDING: Peta gave The Deadbolt an exclusive interview. Below is a take where she answers questions about being at the top of the scoreboard, the intensity of the season, and what has surprised her the most about Gilles!

THE DEADBOLT: How does it feel to be at the top of the scoreboard this season?

PETA MURGATROYD: Well, we’re half a point away from the top. I actually like coming a little bit in second. I don’t want to be on top just yet because you become a target and you’ve got nowhere to go but down. So I believe that growing through the competition is excellent. I’m happy with that and very happy with Gilles.

THE DEADBOLT: Is it as tough as you thought it would be?

MURGATROYD: It’s tougher to be honest. I didn’t think it would be this intense and this competitive. But it’s very competitive. Everyone really wants to win. So, I’m just taking it step-by-step and week-by-week and hopefully Gilles and I will be in the final.

THE DEADBOLT: What surprised you most about Gilles as a dancer?

MURGATROYD: That he can’t look bad doing anything! I don’t think I’ve ever seen him look terrible or look really awkward. He’s just naturally talented and I’m very grateful for that.
