ABC Releases Voting, Scoring, Entertainment Details For Monday Night’s Edition Of Dancing With The Stars
ABC MediaNet has released more details for Dancing With Th Stars for Monday’s nights dances, scoring, voting, and entertainment. Read carefully below for how the night will go down. More at the link. “Episode 1507″ -During this week’s two-hour performance show on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET), the seven remaining couples will perform a fusion dance that has was chosen by their competitors on last week’s show. The show’s opening number, choreographed by Henry Byalikov, will feature The Troupe and four pros from the season. Later in the night, after the couples’ individual rounds, they will all take the dance floor for a swing dance marathon with the chance to add up to 10 extra points to their scores for the night. The couple in first place will get 10 points, the couple in second place will get 9 points, the couple in third place will get 8 points, the couple in fourth place will get 7 points, the couple in fifth place will get 6 points, the couple in sixth place will get 5 points and the seventh place couple will get 4 points.
Monday night’s show also includes the season’s second “AT&T Spotlight Performance,” featuring some of the Utah’s best young dancers. The ten featured dancers are between the ages of 15-18 and represent the future of ballroom dancing. Pro dancer Mark Ballas, who teaches in Utah during every off season, is choreographing this incredible piece to the hit song, “She Wolf,” by David Guetta featuring Sia. Pro dancer Chelsie Hightower, who is from Utah, will also perform in the piece. The performance promises powerful choreography, a fusion of ballroom, hip-hop and contemporary dancing – and a look at what the future has in store!

Woo-hoo! I’m looking forward to seeing some of Henry’s choreography. Fingers crossed he’ll be the new pro next season if Derek bows out. I also hope “four pros from the season” means we get to see Tristan, Anna, Kym and Chelsie again.
I’m about 90% sure that two of the pros are Mark and Chelsie, Cidra. I saw Mark tweet about a 9 hour rehearsal for a “special” performance for Monday. Chelsie responded to him. And then Derek tweeted that he was helping Mark with the Utah kids – they were in the ballroom. I’ll post the picture that Derek tweeted. He’s actin’ all sad and pathetic. It’s almost like he’s staging his own series of “where’s waldo” pictures.
Heh. Never mind, Cidra. I just read the post more carefully. Didn’t realize they were going to have TWO non-competing dances. Don’t know how the hell they’re going to cram that all into one show, but okay.
If Mark actually dance with Shawn on monday, he will be dancing quite a lot.
I kind worried about Shawn, I don’t think the got to rehearse yesterday, she went alone to the CMA, maybe she had some rehearsal in the morning , but Mark tweets about 9 hours of rehearsal for the Utah kids, and today he worked with the Utah kids again, sure since Shawn is in the picture too, he and Derek were working with her as well. Tango is not a easy dance, and she never done before, I’m pretty sure that Derek has some major hardcore choreo for this paso tango, plus the dance marathon 3 minutos of dance plus lifts and tricks. I’m sure that it will be amazing, but is so not going to be a easy week for her.

I’m a huge SYTYCD fan as well (grew up doing ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, ect). Nick Bloxsom-Carter tweeted about DWTS and he’s in this picture, but he’s not from Utah. Also, the girl on the bottom left MUST be Lindsay Arnold’s sister. They look identical. Plus she’s from Utah and Lindsay mentioned in one of her packages that Mark and Shirley Ballas are inspirations and have taught at her mothers studio. Excited for that dance!
Kaitlyn- I just noticed, she does look a lot like Lindsey, the last time that they did this with the Utah kids in DWTS, Nick was dancing too, with Lindsey and Whitney . This kids from Utah have serious talent ( Derek, Julianne, Chelsie, Lindsey, Whitney,Nick).
LOL Heidi! I love that picture!! Derek is so cute! I so hope he’s able to dance. He must be so bummed.
I don’t think Mark will mind all that dancing Monday night. It means much more attention on him. And Chelsie has sure swung these last two weeks her way, too. Hope Shawn doesn’t get lost in the shuffle.

Tristan will be performing in the opening number tomorrow night. I think he’s been in England too helping Katherine Jenkins with something.
