The Dancing With The Stars Season 15 Finalists Light Up The View And New York City
After doing Good Morning America yesterday, our three finalists headed to The View where they were interviewed about their unions and journey on Dancing With The Stars. They also danced and brought the house down. Below is Val and Kelly dancing their Paso Doble. You can watch more in the full episode at The View’s official website.

I saw the view live yesterday, Derek was so out of breath after the Jive, poor thing could barely talk during the interview, Shawn as usual was just fine. I get tired just watching that dance.

Wednesday
The lyrics of Kool and the Gang came to mind as I watched the two night Dancing with The Stars Finale. A festival was taking place on the dance floor. An all out dancing celebration! The ballroom was shaking, was filled with rousing applause! Dance after dance filled our senses with pure delight! A sense of revelry, an atmosphere of conviviality was shared by the dancers! Friendships formed that will last, bonds were made to last forever. That spirit of commaraderie far eclipsed the Mirror Ball Trophy. The blinged out Sawaroski crystal was the prize, the bedazzled trophy was hoisted in celebration of a magnificent couple worthy to call it their own!
I wish all viewers could watch the show as I do. For the sparkling entertainment that is brought forth by the hard work of everyone! Not just the dancers but the production teams, the makeup artists, the astounding musicality of Harold Wheeler, the band, the singers. For the spectacular pro numbers that grace our screens every show. For the entire cumulative experience! As you can tell, I love this show so much! It is a highlight twice a year of my life! I love writing my poetry each week. To get a theme in my mind and run with that theme. How about it everyone! Let’s call it a:
CELEBRATION TIME! COME ON!
Celebration time, come on! A rousing two-night party atmosphere
The all female finale, the ballroom shaking, was rocking with cheer
The couples were introduced, they each took to the dancing floor
Melissa and Tony, Derek and Shawn, Kelly and Val, to a crowd roar
Dances of the season were repeated to the crowd’s supreme delight
Kelly and Val dusted off the giant red cape, again an amazing sight
Melissa and Tony shook their hips, to a Samba with zing and flair
Derek and Shawn Quickstepped with amazing tricks up in the air
The freestyles dubbed Supersized were the highlights of the night
Val’s violin serenade, Kelly’s aerial act were quite a brilliant sight
Shawn was spelled out in giant letters, her five gymnastic friends
Joined Shawn and Derek, the celebration and festival never ends
Melissa, Tony chose the contemporary dance to dazzle our eyes
Their fluidity, their interpretation, their execution, lovely surprise
Tuesday night was a spectacle, a wondrous celebration of dance
The All Stars gathered again, their dancing given another chance
How marvelous it was to see Tristan and Pam, Drew and Anna
Joey and Kym, Chelsie and Helio, they were all the top banana
Sabrina and Louis, Karina and Apolo joined the grand celebration
Bristol and Mark, Gilles and Peta, again created a fine sensation
Emmitt and Cheryl, Max and Kirstie danced with gusto and glee
The celebration and the festival crescendoed for you and for me
The fun team dances, the crazy Gangnam Style, Call me Maybe
Drew and Anna, Helio, Chelsie , Kym, Joey filled in, great to see
An instant dance was the final dance of the fabulous grand finale
Shawn and Derek Cha-Chaed, Kelly and Val Jived for us to see
Melissa and Tony’s Samba shook up and roused the finale night
Celebration Time! Come on! All three were bedazzling and bright
Tom and Brooke took over, time to determine the win, place, show
Kelly and Val took third place, with grace, it was their time to go
Shawn and Derek, Melissa and Tony, only one can take the crown
The excitement building, the announcement about to come down
The blinged out Mirror Ball Trophy stood on its pedestal, in glory
The couple selected to win would soon be telling a winning story
The ballroom was in a frenzy, who won the All Stars Season prize
Tony and Melissa were crowned to their astonishment, surprise
The All Stars Season full of magnificent dancing came to an end
The dancers had become close, had made many a lasting friend
The show faded out of sight, a few tears in my eyes wiped away
Celebration Time! Come On! The show will be back another day!
