General Hospital Preview With Val Chmerkovskiy, Talks Of New Reality Show With Brother Maks (Videos)
“Were they or weren’t they”? That’s the question Wendy Williams asks the audience as Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy sat down to be interviewed on the Wendy Show today. Then she asks Val about the current idea of Maks and Val starting a new reality show. Val says they are currently still thinking the idea over and “they definitely want to do it”. More below including Kelly talking a little about General Hospital.

please…NO reality tv following around the C boys!!! LOL…at least Val put the Maks retiring thing to rest…he was like he is not leaving anytime soon he has much time left on his contract. Maks please stop pretending like you are leaving!

Well, in Maks’ defense – he does not know if he is coming back or not, neither does Val. Yes, he has a contract with the show until the end of 2013, but he will only be in if producers will have a partner for him.
Oh I know that it’s always up to the producers discretion Irina. I was just specifically referring to when Maks responded to an interviewer who asked if he were asked by tptb to return would he and Maks had made the comment that he would have to think about it because things would really need to change on the show if he were going to return. Not a big deal. I just thought it was funny that if asked, Maks thinks he has a choice if contracted. That’s all.
I cant wait for Maks to be done with dwts to see him in other projects he def. has the talent charm and looks. I think a year ago i read an artical that the C-brothers were in talks with networks with an idea for a reality show about them and their dance studios,it would def. be interesing to watch
i think i can def say that i like Val more than Maks…maybe it’s bc he is better than maks so he doesn’t have insecurity issues?? LOL. Val and kelly didn’t seem overly enthusiastic about tony and melissa winning- they basically said that tony has been there since season 2 and deserves it…while Val actually gives a shout out to derek (maks would never)- that is all about making dances that people connect, inspire, and remember….i think val gets it..what the show is all about, whereas maks might get it now (only took him 12 seasons). I see val winning sooner than later…
I will actually be very interested to see where Val goes from here in terms of DWTS. I think Derek DID inspire him – enough for him to mention Derek by name – with those dances, not the least of which was that contemporary with all the ladies. I see Val as more of an artist like Derek is, than like his brother. He needs to watch his mouth though – some of the stuff he says and tweets are pretty off putting.
Yes Val is more of an artist…he is def more talented than Maks by a long shot. He can play his violin, he makes music (has been in the studio with the beamerboyz), and is an actual better dancer as well. I liked his choreo- didn’t love it…esp when he got reign in the freestyle and he pretty much copied another persons choreo. I am curious to see where he goes as well…he can’t play the chemistry card again next season so he will have to teach, design, choreograph. Yes, he still has a tongue and honestly up until recently he has come across as a bitter derek hater but i really believe that staying around to the finals and seeing what it takes to do this season after season and still be creative inspired Val. The last few weeks he brought Derek’s name up multiple times (talking about the Alison Holker piece, the instagram pic calling him the best in the business, and then again on this interview). And as i finish typing this he will prob do something idiotic but it was nice while it lasted:) So who is winning MBT next year? I am going to say either Tristan, Val, or Maks…and i am not even kidding!
Ditto. I think Val for sure wins sooner rather than later. I do really give him the credit for getting Kelly to the finals. I think he hid her flaws very well.
I don’t remember where I saw the interview but Maks said his only talent is ballroom dancing, he can’t do anything else to which Val responded that there were other things he wanted to do and that he wasn’t trying to stick around dwts for 13 seasons. I like a man with a plan.
I could check out a reality show on them if it was really centered more around their dance studios and that world. I would find that quite interesting with their background and how they came here. I don’t really need to see their personal, in their home, day in and day out lives, a little is fine but not the focal point or at least a balance.
I agree with some of the thoughts on Val. As much as him being shirtless most of the time bothers the heck out of me. But putting that aside, I do see some potential with him. And honestly, with him being on the show now, I think it makes it more obvious to me that Maks’ time is up.
Let’s see what next season brings for Val.
While I definitely would have rather had Apolo in the finale, and I think Val and Kelly rode the showmance train into the finals, I DO think he did a decent job of choreographing to her strengths and hiding some of her weaknesses. She looked A LOT better than her first season, and I think Val learned much quicker than Maks or Tony what it takes to make it on DWTS. That being said, I actually think I prefer Maks’s personality to a degree – I just find him funnier and smarter, even if I think he’s a huge ass at times. Val seems somehow even MORE full of himself than Maks, if that’s possible. Like he’s been told all his life how great he is and he knows it and he has no bones with showing that he knows it. Maks at least has some element of “brooding” to him that I find endearing, which makes me forgive him his many, many, many mistakes. Maybe this just comes from having seen Maks for a much longer time frame and given a chance, Val will reveal a deeper part of his personality.
Darn, I meant to add I think it might in some small part be the puppy-dog eyes that Maks has versus Val’s smaller, more beady ones that makes Maks more endearing to me. I just find his face more expressive and open, whereas Val is more stoic and one-note to me. This may not be at all true to their actual personalities and just a subconscious reaction I have to their aesthetics.
I could do without all the shirt removal from both of them though. Learn from Tristan, boys. Less is more, but in this case more is more.
