It’s that time again, Dance Fans! Do you have a dream celebrity (celebrities) for who you’d like to see dance on the next season on Dancing With The Stars? If so, post your Celebrity Wish List in the comment section of this post. Then in a couple of weeks time or more, we’ll send your wish list to “The Powers That Be” at ABC. You never know if they will listen or not or if the celebrities themselves would agree to dance, but, they might? The only way we’ll find out is if we try.

John Stamos would be awesome, and I know Karina has said he’s her dream partner. I’d love to see them dancing together
Alyssa Milano, but I seriously doubt she’d ever do it. Or Brian Krause from Charmed would be awesome as well.
I’d love one of the girls from Pretty Little Liars, and they’re part of the ABC family so maybe they could get one of them. I’d be happy with any of the four main characters, or one of the main male characters would actually be great too.
Andrew McCarthy…I think that’s the guy’s name from Pretty in Pink and St. Elmo’s Fire. Not sure.
I’m trying to think of an older celeb, because they typecast that a good bit…hmmm…I don’t know the name of the woman who played the mother on Family Matters, but I always liked her. I don’t know how old she is now, but she’d have to be in her 50s or 60s I think. Or the dad from that show, too. I know Jaleel White was a butt on the show, but maybe he could send casting their way and make up for it.

#17 Deena’s list is great. I’ll add Danica McKellar (Winnie Cooper from The Wonder Years; she’s rebooting her acting career, has worked with Apolo on a SyFy movie so he can encourage her, and was in the finale audience so maybe…), Michelle Kwan, Valerie Bertinelli, and Keisha Knight-Pulliam (Rudy from The Cosby Show.) I’ll second whoever said anyone from Once Upon a Time, particularly Lana Parrilla or Jennifer Morrison (for some reason I can’t picture Ginnifer Goodwin doing this.) Big “yes” to John Stamos.
I have to echo the baseball player sentiment. I’m a diehard baseball fan and I can’t believe they’ve never had one on the show. They would need to be retired because DWTS intersects with the baseball season, so I was thinking someone like Cal Ripken, Chipper Jones, Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders covers football, too! Nomar Garciaparra, Frank Thomas, Craig Biggio, Ken Griffey Jr. or even Ricky Henderson.
What’s weird is I think that baseball players, although not regarded as any more “manly” a sport than the NFL or NBA, seem to be less open to anything that might be construed as “girly”. Whereas football and basketball athletes in the US seem to be more secure with their masculinity. Maybe it’s the “boys club” mentality of baseball that is more pervasive, more conservative, etc., than the other sports. Just my opinion.
Oh yeah, and a male gymnast too! Jonathan Horton is arguably one of the more popular ones. The only issue I could see is their height, so I guess they’d probably have to get Chelsie. If not him then Danell Leyva or John Orozco, or a retired one like Paul Hamm.
I don’t see Rob Lowe doing anything, he’s still working and on NBC.
Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey, no way – their show is too popular right now.
Tia or Tamera I could definitely see – maybe even both, which would be novel.
Ryan Lochte maybe, although I think he’s a long shot.

Christopher Knight is a possibility, I think, although having already been on the Surreal Life and a few other reality shows he may have worn out his appeal.

I can say with NO reservations that Once Upon a Time is my very favorite show on TV. Unfortunately, it’s a lot of people’s favorite show so having them on a show is a wish that will likely never be granted.
But I would ask for Captain Hook.
Gonna steal the best ones I’ve seen around the net:
Ryan Lochte, and put him with Karina. He needs to come off as dark or fiery, not bubbly (as Kym or someone would make him look). I think Ryan & Karina would be a really interesting match.
Nastia Liukin should be high up on the list. Give her to Mark. Need some spark.
Antonio Sabato Jr. would be a good one, that I’ve heard mentioned.
Dominique Moceanu or Michelle Kwan. Both would be good ringers, and Dominique has a good story, and I know DWTS loves themselves some story!
Tatyana Ali is another good one I’ve seen around the net.
Shawn Michaels. Wrestler. Might be funny, and he actually used to dance around a lot in his wrestling days. May actually have some talent.
David Cassidy is very much alive – yes, would love to see him on the show. I like ice skaters as well – maybe some retired hockey players: Luc Robitaille, Steve Duchesne, Kelly Hrudey – doubt Gretzky would do it but he’d be great too.

Big yes to Mike Rowe, plus he probably has some free time now that Dirty Jobs has been cancelled. Unfortunately, as has been pointed out, Once Upon a Time is probably TOO popular to be the source of any contestants; ABC has no need to prop them.

I’ve been reading all these posts today and actually, couldn’t we agree to have celebs participating who have absolutely NO dancing background whatsoever so that everyone is on a level playing field? When some have dancing experience and others don’t, doesn’t it allow a better chance for those who have already learned some dance technique or who use dance in their careers to have a better chance at winning? I’ve often felt bad for some of the celebs who are like a fish out of water while others are breezing through difficult choreography only to find that they have been dancing for years. I really don’t know how that’s fair to either the celeb or the pro.
I was thinking maybe, Megan Fox. lol.
I don’t think people would freak over Dianna being on the show. I’ve seen websites campaigning for Heather Morris, who has had more dance training than Agron, to be on the show. Personally, I don’t mind having ringers on the show–it makes for better dancing, and it makes everybody else step up their game. That being said, I highly doubt either one of them would do the show. Glee’s filming schedule is crazy, and Diana is trying to build a movie career.
It’s not a complete set, and the likelihood of actually having this cast is VERY slim, but here are my top picks:

I’ve loved Rebecca Herbst since she first joined GH (because that’s when I first started watching). Mind you, I haven’t watched GH in years, but I always loved her.
We’ve had a couple original 90210-ers already, so I’d love to see some Luke Perry too.
@Tony 48: I’d love it if either Heather or Diana did the show, but (and this isn’t me saying I prefer one over the other) I think it’s more likely that Heather would do the show than Diana, given the chance, if only due to the fact that she identifies herself as a dancer, kind of like the way Sabrina Bryan was always more of a dancer than an actress. And hey, they had Nicole Scherzinger on the show, so who knows?

I’d particularly love to see Stana Katic. I’d also suggest any of the main cast from Firefly – though Summer Glau might be a considered a ringer, since I believe she has dance training of some kind. Goldie Hawn would be fun as well. I think one of the Fierce Five would also be cool, but I think I’d be even more interested in seeing a gymnast who’s been retired awhile – I saw Dominque Moceneau (sp?) mentioned, or possibly Shannon Miller or one of the other Magnificent Seven. I think Alicia Sacramone (though she doesn’t fit in the “retired awhile” category) would also be interesting.

I don’t think they’ll pull from GH again so soon after having kelly on, but if they do, my top 3 choices would be Becky, Jason Thompson (let CArrie Ann drool over him), or Kimberly McCullough. After Finola Hughes, that is.
I would like a 6 degrees of separation season. Where the participants somehow know each other or worked with the same people in the past or in the same field. It would set up some interesting rivalries (ex: Twins Tia and Tamera on at the same time, or Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano (TV dad/daughter)

Svetlana Boginskaya – The Belarusian Swan. LOVED her! An amazing gymnast who had a unique style. Olympic champion, gold medalist. She lives in Texas and I think runs a gymnastics camp still. She’s around 40 and I would love to see her do it!! It would be great publicity for her business.

I’d love to see Kelly Martin! Or Noah Wylie. Jamie Chung could be good. She’s not uber famous, but has guested on Once Upon a Time, and done some movies. She’s getting more clout I think. Plus she’s absolutely gorgeous and seems like a sweetheart.
Nastia Liukin and Val would probably end up being the most explosive partnership of all time – both from the Russian do or die club, plus, Nastia had a very severe foot injury – I am not sure she would be able to do it. I would love to see her – with a more mellow partner though, maybe Tristan? I think even Henry would be too intense to pair with her.
I would also love a male gymnast, that should be fun.

I really liked the one season where they had 3 real-life couples, so it got me thinking.. I’d love to see some themed seasons!
- All-Olympian season.
- Rivalry season (real-life or reel life). For example, competitor rivals like Lochte/Phelps, or two actors who’s characters a rivals on a show, two celebrity ex-lovers, etc.)
- Redemption season that mixes new celebrities with former contestants who were taken out due to injuries.. I still really want to see Misty May!
Svetlana Boginskaya was also on the tall side for a gymnast, she was 5’4 or 5’5 and was stunning in her graceful, artistic movements.
You could put Svetlana with Maks since she’s tall enough and Nastia with Val. Now there’s a storyline right there. Two Olympic, gold medal, gymnasts and two brothers all from a similar region, former USSR (Russia, Belarus, Ukraine) and all came to the U.S.
Maybe there should be an Olympic DWTS season. That actually would be a ratings getter, if they were all former Olympians. But if not I still want my Nadia, Svetlana and Nastia.
Could you imagine how cool that would be, all different sports and ages. Fantastic!

I don’t think so, Sara. Nicole was in Pussycat Dolls and had some dance experience…but isn’t Heather actually TRAINED as a dancer?? Nicole’s focus was in music, but I don’t think the same can be said for Heather. I don’t know that much about her, really, but my impression that she would be the biggest ringer of ALL time, and that includes Mya who taught dance.

Barefoot, Ryan is only 9 inches taller than Karina. Same height differential between Cheryl & Gilles. Actually, an even less of a differential, imo, because I think that Cheryl is shorter than she claims.
There are things more important than height. Personality match & vibe is much more important, imo (unless it’s a case of something like a 5′ 10″ female with a 5′ 7″ guy, obviously).

About Heather Morris – I’d love her, since I love her on Glee and I also shamefully love a ringer, although she is probably too much.
