TMZ is reporting Dancing With The Stars Karina Smirnoff just bought a 6,350-square-foot home in Woodland Hills, California. You can see a picture of it at the link…and is a beautiful home at that!
According to docs, Karina took out a loan for $600,000 — meaning she laid down some serious up-front cash.
The 5-bedroom, 5-bath pad is rockin’ two-story vaulted ceilings, travertine floors, giant hanging chandeliers, huge spa-style tub and steam shower.

Wow good for her! I guess this is the best time to buy property w the economy. That is much bigger home than Cheryl’s. Cheryl bought her home for 1.3 mil almost 5 yrs ago. But she paid them in cash i believe . Derek had his padjust recently too right? Im so happy for these pros and see their hardworks pays off for them! More success to them!

I think most of the pros get most of their money from the opportunities they get as a result of being on the show, not from the show itself. I believe I read somewhere that they don’t make, relatively speaking, all that much money from doing the show. I’m sure they make a lot next to us peons, but by show business standards, no.
That’s why I have no problem with their money-making endeavors outside the show, whatever they are. I think they’re only being smart to take advantage of their fame while the show lasts, because it’s not going to last forever. They are like pro atheletes who have to make most of their income for their entire life in just a few years.
