PureDWTS Peta Murgatroyd Talks About Rehearsals and More With New Partner Sean Lowe

Peta Murgatroyd stopped by the offices of OK! Magazine today to talk about Dancing With The Stars and her new partner Sean Lowe. She says so far their rehearsals have been “great, but interesting”. He’s having some trouble shaking his hips since he’s so tall, but, he’s dedicated and driven. She has heaps of faith they will be in the finale. They have the Fox Trot for their first dance. Seriously, Peta acts like Sean is God gift sent from above. I hope these two are sent packing from the getgo.

And BTW, Peta’s hair looks atrocious, Did she pay for a real bleach job or just do it at home in her sink?

I hope that Sean can continue to act with dignity like he did on the Bachelor. I don’t like Peta at all and Hated the way she and Gilles were all over each other last season, and fear that it will be a repeat with Sean. I really wish they gave him a partner that had class, like Anna or Lacey.:(

OMGosh!!! The Peta bashing is ridiculous.

First off, (the shirtless debate) yall act as if Peta is the only pro that likes to show off their partners physical assets. Did you watch Cheryl and William in season 14 every single latin dance William was either flashing his abs or shaking his ass.

Secondly, Gilles was the reason he got eliminated he came into the competition thinking he was the best and he was gonna win. He also wouldn’t STFU! Peta had some ok choreography last season but she also had a couple stunning ones. She taught Gilles what to do he chose to try and be overly sexual with her and every dance Peta had no part in that.

I just wish the Peta bashing would stop. I agree I don’t like the platinum blonde but I mean really, she is human she isn’t perfect. She is a gorgeous fantastic dancer/choreographer. Give her a chance.

Just wanted to put that out there that she isn’t the only one that flaunts her partners assets.

@Jenn – How does Peta expect to win with Sean? Easy – she relies on cheap gimmicks (like gratuitous skin) and TPTB propping them up because Sean is part of “the family”. Peta’s had the luxury of not having to really do much to stick around the past 2 seasons – she had the lovable Donald to carry her all the way to MBT in season 14, and she had the judges & TPTB worshipping Gilles for the first half of last season. Perhaps its the pessimist in me speaking, but I’d expect things to be no different this time around – Peta does the bare minimum to get by, and lasts for several weeks fueled only on shirtlessness and over-the-top praise of her partner by the judges. Once again, Princess Peta gets lucky – another season where her weaknesses as a choreographer and a teacher are camoflaged by a partner that can carry her weight.

Man, talking through all my qualms about Peta today has really made me realize that she may have overtaken Cheryl as my least favorite female pro…that’s a feat.

Grant – quit being a drama queen, and quit telling people what to do. Don’t like all of us voicing our opinions about poor widdle Peta? GO AWAY. None of us are required to “give her a chance”, and even if we were, I daresay three seasons is PLENTY.

Clearly you were absent from Pure for the whole of season 14, when we lamented our dislike of Cheryl’s exploiting William’s physical assets. People complained about us complaining about William’s shirtlessness. Hell, I just brought it up again the other day! So the William thing? Yeah, doesn’t really support your claim that we’re ganging up on Peta – we’re sick of skin, regardless of who it’s coming from.

And no, Grant, it’s not “all Gilles’s fault” that he was eliminated – Peta should have stepped up and stepped in to squash that behavior before the season even started. Like it or not, the pro is partially responsible for making sure their partner looks their best – and Peta didn’t lift a damn finger to try and stop Gilles’ raging ego.

And who said anything about hair? Way to glom onto stuff that someone casually mentions in passing and try to act like all we can talk about is Peta’s hair. Sounds like you’re the one that’s hung up on it.

Donald was the complete package, fanbase, charm, sweetness, and he had everything it takes to win this show. Heck, he could have danced solo and he would have still walked away with the MBT.

Ditto, Sandy – part of me thinks that man could have danced with Bin Laden and still run away with the MBT And that’s why it kind of irritates me when people talk about how “great” Peta is, “because she won a MBT”. She’s been added to the pantheon of pros who’ve won, as if she’s at the same level as Derek, Mark, Kym, & Karina. All four of the pros I just mentioned are MILES ahead of her in terms of choreography. I fully attribute Donald’s win to Donald, with a lot of help in the PR department from wifey. Peta was just the one lucky enough to be along for the ride – but I think it gave some people an overinflated impression of how skilled Peta is as a choregrapher and a teacher. She has yet to truly prove herself to me – and I think it’s probably going to take her taking a celeb that is totally inept (and not being propped up by TPTB) and making them into something presentable.
