Wynonna Judd Talks Of Husband’s Accident, Emotional Journey, Dancing With The Stars, and More
If interested, be sure to pick up a copy of US Weekly this week. Inside the new issue (and gracing a spot on the cover), Wynonna Judd and her husband, Cactus Moser, talk about his recent motorcycle accident, how he lost his leg, and what they’ve sent through emotionally. Here is a take….
“I remember standing over Cactus, wondering whether he was alive or not,” Judd recalls in the new issue of Us Weekly. “I kept saying to myself, ‘Be calm, be calm.’ When I realized he was still alive, I noticed the leg was gone. I saw remnants of it, um, all over the highway. I just stood there, trying to make sense of it all.”
I can’t imagine what that had to be like?
Wynonna also talks of Dancing With The Stars in the new issue and how she’s preparing for it. More at US Weekly.
Stay tuned for an update to this post. We hope to have some video coverage soon of Wynonna and Tony on GMA this morning.
UPDATE: You can watch Tony and Wynonna on GMA HERE. Check out how she is very SORE!!!

I love how she tweeted she was ging to be on GMA lol.
I can’t imagine how horrible that was for her either. I have a lot of respect for her, I like her. They aren’t one of my personal favorite pairs but I’m not rooting against them either and I hope she does well and has a lot of fun in the process!
While I’m certainly sympathetic to Wynonna for the anguish she’s gone through with her husband’s accident, I’m not really “feeling” her on the show. I get a diva vibe that worries me and makes me think she won’t be good at rolling with the punches. If the judges love on her, it’ll be OK, but things could turn unpleasant if Bruno makes one of his thoughtless analogies and/or her scores are below par. But I’m taking a wait and see approach and hope my worries are groundless.
To me she doesn’t seem so much diva as prickly/defensive, like she has to work at feeling good about herself vs just feeling good about herself. I agree she makes some off putting comments, but in some ways, personally, I don’t mind the prickly compared to someone who is insecure and fragile. To me at least, it seems like she’s fighting to have a good life and not playing victim. Like I have some psych degree…time to shut myself up.
Cidra and jess, great comments from 2 of my most thoughtful & fav posters!
Good point, Cidra – I think Wy might unwittingly give production some excellent opportunities to make her look bad if they are of a mind to edit her packages/confessionals negatively. I’m interested to see her reactions during judging and Brooke bits. And jess, I’d be so disappointed if you shut yourself up as I thought your read was right-on and well-expressed and I appreciate your sharing it.
I hadn’t attended much at all to Wynonna’s career, but in reading her recent tweets, she seems to work very hard to bolster herself and anyone who cares to read. She comes off as spiritual and very mindful of her inner life and the power of attitude, seems to put great effort into pushing away negativity and empowering herself/others to do better. I’ve got to applaud that.
Thanks, Faby. I appreciate the compliment. I agree with you that it would be a shame if Jess shut herself up. We’d miss out on a lot of insightful comments, such as the one above.
Thanks Faby and Cidra, and ditto on appreciating both your thoughts/posts!
And I hope the producers don’t choose to give her bad edits. I know it’s true that they can’t show it if a celeb didn’t say/do it, but I do think by leaving some things out and including others bias can happen. I kind of feel like to some extent, the celebs who are true stars in their own realm (singers, athletes, actors) deserve at least some respect/human dignity. If someone is just a fame whore and takes their celebrity status too seriously even when devoid of any entertainment talent, I don’t mind so much.
