Zendaya And Val Chmerkovskiy Prepared And Ready For Dancing With The Stars Tonight (Rehearsal Interview)
Zendaya tells Dis411 that she is excited about Dancing With The Stars and she thinks it’s going to be an amazing season. She and Val are going to work hard and do their best. She’s a little nervous, but, she’s prepared and ready for tonight. The stage is her home and it’s where she loves to be. She also speaks about the Contemporary Dance she and Val have this week. They look great dancing. Check it out….

I’m excited! And her little bit of the jive they showed looked really good too. But this interviewer was annoying he totally ignored Val. Kinda awkward.
im excited to see how they r going to approach their contemporary too.
the interviewer would ask them both questions and then automatically just put the mic in front of zendaya to answer.
their jive for next week is looking pretty decent already,
I agree, Izabel. Val didn’t get to say a word other than “thank you” at the end of the interview. I know it’s supposed to be about the celeb, but the pro has a lot to do with the success of the partnership. That said, I think Zendaya needs to chill a bit and share some of the questions with her pro instead of jumping on everything like an eager beaver. For example, she could have deferred the question about what they were dancing to Val. I guess that’s her youth and inexperience showing.
I think this couple will be ah-mazing this season and I am curious to see a different Val as well, but my only complaint is… I am tired of Zendaya already, her show Shake-it-Up is on at my house every day. For me, it’s enough Zendaya already!
I guess I am really showing my age aren’t I.
@Cidra: I don’t really think that her answering all the questions can be totally attributed to “youth and inexperience.” My understanding of that interview was that the interviewer didn’t really seem to even know Val existed while asking the questions. Plus, it’s not like Val couldn’t have jumped in on the answers, as I’ve seen in some interviews from all sorts of pros. However, having said that, I do agree that Zendaya could have asked Val to answer instead of her talking the whole time.
What I got from the interview as a whole, in my opinion anyway, was that Zendaya seems to be a bit wiser than her years. Not by a whole lot, but just a little bit. She’s very grounded, and I find that a likable quality. I look forward to them tonight!
I remember that Jake interviewing Roshon and Sabrina. He focused on them and the pro partners were an afterthought, so this may be the way he does interviews with Disney people.
Val and Zendaya look really good and I am also looking forward to seeing them tonight and this season.
Val and Zendaya were amazing and definately gave the best dance of the night, but then again she is a trained dancer already. If she wins, would that be so different than Julianne Hough coming back on the show now as a celeb and winning? By this I mean, I don’t believe it would be a true, hard won victory.
re blond, I don’t agree. Julianne is a trained and champion *ballroom* dancer. Mya was a trained dancer but didn’t win. Nicole had dance background but I feel their win was very much deserved. While Val and Zendaya aren’t my favorite couple, as long as the judges don’t screw up with the scoring or tptb don’t do something stupid like WTA cha cha, if they win, it will be deserved. Other celebrities bring other advantages like Olympic fame, or NFL support, or acting background…I kind of agree that to some extent she’s a ringer but ringers don’t always win.
Can anyone please tell me the name of the song that they preformed to tonight? Name, artist??? Please, I love this song
