PureDWTS Season 16 Post Elimination Media, Numerology Prediction Correct, And More
We have lots of fun post Dancing With The Stars Season 16 elimination interviews and media to share with you this morning, but, first we’d like to commend reader @DonaMadrina. She nailed it in her Numerology Report that she sent to us for the new Zodiac post this season. She made us a graph in gif form so we could take a look at this again….
Amazing, isn’t it? GOOD JOB DONA!!xxx
With that said, I’d just like to comment how much I loved last night’s finale. I think my only complaint of the whole night (like many others) was Zendaya’s flat shoes. 😯 Other than that, it was so cool seeing Sharna and Andy’s phenomenal Mad Hatter Lady Gaga Jazz number again. What’s more, they made it a huge dance production. And how about Dorothy Hamill and Kristi Yamaguchi’s dance with Henry and Sasha? What a “moment” that was. I also loved the performances by Wynonna (what a powerhouse), PSY (I’m so addicted to that crazy song and dance production now. lol), and Pitbull. A night to remember for sure!! More in Heidi’s Spoiler post and comments. You can also download all the music from the night in John’s new Music post here.
Ok, so let’s get right to some elimination interviews with Access Hollywood. Derek and Kellie, Aly and Mark, and Jacoby and Karina reflect on the season and how happy they are for this experience. Sorry, there isn’t anything posted for Val and Zendaya (yet anyway?)….
E News has a wrap up on the night and some interviews as well here.
And thanks to Kaitlyn showing us their location, below are the On The Red Carpet interviews…..
Let’s hope ET Online has some interviews posted shortly too.
Also, stay tuned to Pure Derek Hough as Miss Heidi will have a full mega wrap up there with Kellie and Derek including more articles and interviews for what you don’t see here.
Ok, more in a bit!!! 😉
ETA: Here is the cast out and about after the finale:
Gleb has a daughter! Aahh. Beautiful family. Can’t wait to see him back next season. I hope he sticks around longer so we get to know him more.
I also hope they make that Whitney girl a pro. I didn’t know who she was but she stood out in a troop of other dancers who have been on a few seasons while this was her first. She’s very vivacious.
Derek saying the 4th mirrorball isn’t about him, it’s about Kellie and whoever his partner is says it all. A class act indeed.
As was Zendaya’s comments to George about it being about the experience and not a physical trophy. Lovely girl and she gets it at 16 years old.
I can not believe that Val didn’t do post show interviews with Zendaya… For all his preaching about parents and good behavior, he has behaved in such a poor way and set a poor example for his 16 year old partner, who I thought handled it with class.
Going to miss Jacoby’s shenanigans! Congrats to Kellie and Derek! 🙂
Me too!!! Loved him!!!! He ended up being my fave partner of Karina’s.
I agree Tumbles. Sad.
One of my fav moments of the show last night was when Brooke asked Jacoby what their song was, and he responded “I can’t even pronounce it”. Loved him on the show. He never failed to make me laugh.
seriously…Val couldn’t do the press line because he had to pack (according to the clicker.com) but he could do the pressline with a busted, bloody eye? I would think his stuff would of been packed prior to a few hours of leaving LA. All that talk about it beginning with the parents is BS- what it showed Zendaya is how to not lose gracefully. Sharna was quoted as saying that younger audiences love the internet and it def played a part but wasn’t sure if it would totally change the outcome- also because of international voting. (abc being down)- guess she didn’t want to talk about the fact that facebook is still the internew and kids could vote there where some of the older generations are prob without that resource. Can’t anyone just win/lose gracifully?
Can’t even talk about Val not being on the press line. You’ve said all before me. I started off being impressed with Zen’s interview with George. Then she starts with the “I think that the person who makes the most difference, the person who helps the most people … and I think I’m that person, so I’m happy”. Could she just be the person who made a difference, helped people? Does it always have be a comparison to others to prove she’s the best? That’s just sad! Poor kid!
I think he could have managed to find time to do the press line if they had won ha.
Very childish and not nice example to your teenage celeb. Weren’t you just ranting on parenting/being good examples for your children? Your job as a pro is to support your celeb through the whole process….remember it’s actually about her, not about you?
very true EPmusic…i would assume he could walk the pressline if he won…i mean if that isn’t poor sportmanship at its finest. The girl is 16 and you are letting her deal with all that bc of your bruised ego. pretty sad…take your parenting advice elsewhere- thank god you aren’t a parent!
Emma said she was a bit sad that Zendaya and Val just missed out on winning..but how can you know that?!..They were ahead by a point and still lost, so the voting couldn’t have been THAT close.
Couldn’t agree more, All!!!
Vogue thank you! 🙂 Loved all these. I so agree about Jacoby because that man brought fun to the dance floor and (not on this site), but am so tired of the horrible things being said about him on the comments sections of so many articles. Saying he didn’t belong there and it was only football fans that kept him in. He didn’t know how to dance, etc. I never heard of Jacoby until the Super Bowl, but he seemed to be so well liked by all the cast and I would take their opinion over anyone just sitting behind a computer pretending to know these people. I split my votes for him and Kellie each week. I know I will miss him and loved the pairing of him and Karina.
I don’t know if this was posted elsewhere on the site, but saw an article where they were talking about possibly getting rid of the current judges. I guess CAI and Len’s contracts are up and with them wanting to bring in the younger people it may be one thing considered. I guess Bruno still has time on his contract.
See Sean (the Bachelor) still hasn’t set a wedding date and will be hanging around the beach this summer. Wonder if that means they are staying in CA?
Loved Gleb, his beautiful wife and daughter. What a cutie!!! I really hope they bring him back so we get to know him better.
So happy for Kellie and Derek and already wrote a post congratulating them on another thread.
Just nice to see everyone for the last time this season.
if you haven’t seen this one yet – you really should (and watch it to end to see Andy trying to steal the MBT): http://video.glamour.com/watch/backstage-at-the-dancing-with-the-stars-finale?mbid=twitter_glamourdotcom
I’m so upset the judges have to stay that’s what makes a show great keeping the same judges and losing the best pros def gonna hurt the show
Zendaya needs a better publicist. First, she had a shocked looked on her face like she refused to believe that she did not win. Then in an interview she says it is not about winning. It is about who is the most inspiring person on the show. The person who helped others the most, the person who made the most difference on the show is what is important and “I was that person”. Zendaya actually said that. I know she is young but she needs to watch what she says. She cramming her foot in her mouth with every interview. STOP.
@Angie Pitt
Actually I think Andy was that person…
@Cher – I agree! The inspiration from Season 16 was definitely Andy.
If anyone didn’t *get it* with Andy, as apparently Zendaya didn’t… That’s just plain sad. Maybe her parents should remove her from the limelight for a while and teach her some very important lessons in life.
If she said that she REALLY needs some PR guidance. Girlfriend ain’t all that. I had nothing against her personally, only the pimpage…but that could change if she keeps talking shit like that.
Yup, Zen said that! I talked about it in comment #8 too! Couldn’t believe my ears!
…I’m going to give her the benefit of doubt on the whole “I was that person” spiel. Hell, she IS only 16. And I’m thinking she probably does think that she’s doing what she does for the younger kids (who aren’t watching the show, if DWTS’s numbers are any indication, but still). She works on the Disney Channel — all she knows is how to appeal to the kids. I highly doubt she knows that the majority of DWTS’s audience is older women who connect more with Andy than they do with her.
But yeah, a bit of brushing up in PR department would certainly be a benefit.
