Forever Tango Preview, Karina Smirnoff Writing New Book, Across Grace Alley Update

Karina Smirnoff is not only about to take the stage with Maks Chmerkovskiy in Forever Tango. She’s also been writing a new book. Ok! Magazine asked her a little about what it’s about and here is how she responded.

“It will delve into questions people have often asked which I haven’t been able to answer,” she says. “It’s non-fiction with the stories where the names are a little twisted.”

So is this tell-all going to make Karina a few enemies?

“None of it is bad,” says the dancing pro. “It’s all fact. None of it is horrible. Some of this information is out already, some isn’t. A lot of times I’ve decided not to speak up and say certain things and address certain things and it’s not because I didn’t want to say bit, it’s because I wanted to step back and look at the situation and learn from it. Now that I have I’m ready to share those lessons.”

Karina, who has previously been engaged to baseball player Brad Penny and fellow DWTS star Maksim Chmerkovskiy, says the process of writing the book has made her look at life a little differently.

“The more you talk about it (your life), the more you realize,” she says. “The more you write the more you understand that people’s perception is their reality. It’s an interesting observation. I can’t say too much because I don’t want to give it all away but it’s a very eye-opening book for me while I was writing it and definitely for anyone who will read it.”

Cool, I can’t wait to buy this book. How about you? You can read the full article at Ok! Magazine. Don’t miss reading it because there is a brief mention about Karina’s new movie “Across Grace Alley” with Ralph Macchio as well.

By the way, stay tuned. Karina and Maks will be on Extra and Good Morning America on Monday to talk of their 3 week run in “Forever Tango”. They’ll also be on The View on Friday. For tickets, see this link. Here’s a little preview from Forever Tango….

Peta Murgatroyd Would Like To See John Stamos Do Dancing With The Stars

Ok! Magazine asked Peta Murgatroyd who she’d like to see dance on Dancing With The Stars. She picks actor John Stamos. What an excellent choice! I love the idea of John Stamos dancing as well. Peta also chats about how she’s been spending the summer.

Probably John Stamos—I think he would be amazing,” she says. “He’s got the acting ability, I think he’d be able to move and he’s done theater so I think he could put on a really good show.”

Peta tells us she’s been relaxing while on hiatus from the dancing competition, but always in contact with her DWTS family.

“Lots of my friends come from there, obviously,” she says. “I’ve been talking to Kirstie Alley and Gilles (Marini). I keep in contact with Sean (Lowe) and Catherine (Giudici) all of the time. Sharna (Burgess) is one of my really good friends and Cheryl (Burke) I’ve seen a bunch of times. Val and Maks (Chmerkovskiy)—we all still hang out and have a good time.”

More at Ok! Magazine with Peta’s thoughts on her acting career and what part she’d like to play.
