Kym Johnson Not Returning To Dancing With The Stars Season 17

There are times when it’s so hard to report something….and this is one of those times. Kym Johnson will not be returning for Dancing With The Stars Season 17! According to US Weekly, she has an “amazing opportunity” to do something else. Though the bright spot is that it’s “not for good”. Below is more in detail.

After 14 seasons on Dancing With the Stars, Kym Johnson is hanging up her dancing shoes. The 37-year-old Australian professional ballroom dancer exclusively tells Us Weekly that she’s leaving the ABC reality dance competition show — but not for good!

“I will be taking the next season off from DWTS USA, so that I may accept an amazing work opportunity back home in Australia,” Johnson tells Us, although she declined to go into further detail about the new home country gig. “I am excited, nervous and humbled by this chance and look forward to sharing more about it with you soon.”

For the full article, visit US Weekly. There is a beautiful picture there too that’s making me cry looking at it. What an amazing dancing career she’s had!! Much love and luck, Kym!! We’re going to miss you!!xxx

UPDATE: According to this tweet, Kym is going to be a judge on the revamped “Dancing With The Stars” in Australia. Very cool and so deserving!! Thanks to Sally for this news.

I'm a fashion and music fan....and I have always loved dancing too of any kind. Dancing With The Stars seems to have this way of bringing all of those things together. DWTS Mark Ballas Speaks At Variety’s Sports Entertainment Summit, Update On New Album

Awww, it’s good to see Mark Ballas again. The Dancing With The Stars pro has had a busy summer promoting his music. In fact, you can read a little update on him and his new album coming out at MarkBallas.com. Here is a small take from it.

In the studio, Ballas is working on recording what he hopes will introduce people to a new sound and a hearty body of work.

“It’s a pop record, but it’s definitely got essences of funk and Flamenco. … It’s very soulful in the lyrics and the melody, but it’s still a pop album,” he says of his debut release. “It sounds like my personality.”

Also, pictured above is Mark at speaking onstage during the ‘Branding the Athlete – Winning in a Jungle of Social, Entertainment and Endorsement Choice’ panel at Variety’s Sports Entertainment Summit in Beverly Hills, California last week.
