Tristan MacManus And Valerie Harper Interviewed By The View
In case you missed The View this morning with Valerie Harper and Tristan MacManus. You can now watch it at The View’s Official Site at this link. Val first talks of her cancer describing it in detail. She also discusses how she is fighting it and how with every scan she has, the doctors see less and less of it. She’s not out of the woods, but, the key, she explains, is “to keep on going”. Then they discuss Dancing With The Stars and if she’s able handle it …which she is. Tristan also talks about how Dancing With The Stars isn’t just about “winning”. He said Valerie has a message to tell and he’s along for the ride. Lots more at the link!!!
Bless bless this woman and pairing!! We have so much to learn!!! Note that their first dance is the Fox Trot.
I think the Foxtrot is an excellent first dance for this couple.
We all know that the producers can make some pretty bone-headed decisions with regards to the show, but I honestly think pairing Tristan and Valerie is one of the best decisions they’ve ever made.
Great interview! I agree, @susan2, that TPTB were absolutely right to pair Tristan with Valerie. I do think, though, that they manage to pair people pretty well each season – most of the stupid decisions they make aren’t around pairing celebs and pros.
What Susan2 said +1. They get so many things wrong, that it’s kind of a surprise when they get something right. 😉
Next season, though, I’d like to see him step out with a young partner. She doesn’t have to be a “contender”, just someone pleasant and within a few years of his age would be lovely.
What a lovely segment. Valerie looks so radiant and full of joy. She and Tristan “win” each day.
Val (the pro) should take attitude lessons from Tristan. I don’t think I have ever heard him complain about anything.
Valerie has already won… She doesn’t need that tacky $10 trophy to be a winner. Her positivity and zest for life are truly life lessons for us all. And shame on those (meaning that reporter?? in a previous article) that would question her bravery and her fight for life with this deadly cancer. And I would want to Thank Her for allowing me to share in her journey this season.
One thing though… Did anyone else notice that Tristan had what looked like a wedding band on his left ring finger?
It’s getting tough I am already filling up my top 3 favorites slots rather quickly this season. Go Valerie!
