Judge Bruno Tonioli Discusses The New Cast Of Dancing With The Stars Season 17
Not only are we and the dancers are excited about Dancing With The Stars starting on Monday. Judge Bruno Tonioli is excited as well. In this new interview with Access Hollywood, Bruno talks all about the cast and the variety they have this time. I love what he says about Valerie Harper and how “it’s not over until it’s over”.
ETA: And here is Bruno on Extra today too. This is funny…
I love Bruno! Hahaha. That “Spin the Bottle” bit was awesome lol
I found Bruno’s comments (when talking about Valerie) pretty insightful – if you think about our culture (and even our own reactions to hearing that Valerie was going to be on the show), you realize how timidly (in a sense) we approach life. If you’re not perfect, or if you’re not at some imaginary 100%, then just quit. Don’t try. On the other hand, we find inspiring those stories of people who don’t quit, and who achieve amazing things – maybe because we suspect (like Bruno) that we wouldn’t necessarily live the way Valerie is choosing to live. I’m not sure I would, though I *hope* I would – and I think just the fact that she said yes to the challenge is inspiring.
Well-said, Butterfly.
Of all the Stooges, I do like Bruno the best. His over-the-top antics can be irritating, and he sometimes gets carried away trying to be funny and ends up saying something really hurtful, but for the most part, I think he’s more genuinely interested in the celebs than either CAI or Len. CAI let’s her jealousy make her petty and vindictive, and Len allows his prejudices and biases to skew his judgment. Bruno has no self-image problems and is open to pretty much anything.
