PureDWTS 17 Week 9 Guest Poem: “Traversing The Trio Dance-Landscape”!

Some people are so creative and that is PureDWTS guest poet Lois!!! Below is her new poem for Dancing With The Stars Season 17 Week 9!!

TRAVERSING THE TRIO DANCE-SCAPE!

The ballroom was a’flutter, the dancers holding on to each other tight
TRAVERSING THE TRIO DANCE-SCAPE, a popular twist for the night

Each trio was unique, their dances filled with much excitement galore
TRAVERSING THE TRIO DANCE-SCAPE, many surprises were in store

Corbin, Karina, and Witney were all Jazzed up with dramatic flying feet
Their trio dance deemed perfection, they accomplished a daring feat

Gleb, Liz, and Val were colorful, dancing to a flashy, classy Salsa beat
Their moves were dashing, they were smashing, with snap happy feet

Mark, Derek, and Amber created a Salsa filled with razzle-dazzle fun
Flying across the floor, she, in yellow, shining like a ball of fiery sun

Jack, Cheryl, and Sharna a wild, jungle saga making Tarzan proud
Like Tony the Tiger, flouncing, bouncing, it stirred the ballroom crowd

Peta, Bill, and Emma mixed up a Salsa with gals, confections in pink
It was a candy-licious, dandy-licious, “store”house, don’t ya all think

Leah, Tony, and Henry made a parody of the judges, an energetic jive
Bruno, Carrie Ann, and Len loved their imitations, gave a high five

TRAVERSING THE TRIO DANCE-SCAPE, everyone gave many cheers
Wouldn’t we love to see this style of dance for many, many more years

Corbin and Karina Waltzed with elegance, exquisite lines were flowing
Jack and Cheryl Waltzed, gliding beautifully as if they were glowing

Tony and Leah displayed an Argentine Tango with fierce dancing feet
She shone in a brilliant, ruby red dress, so beautiful, sharp and neat

Derek, Amber’s Quickstep, drumming to a dance band beat just right
Val, Liz performing a marriage, a Viennese Waltz, she in gown of white

Bill, Emma hung out their Charleston fun, filling the basket with the beat
Dancing across the floor, it was a yak-yakkity, a happity ballroom treat

Who would have to say good-bye to their ballroom family and friends
Val and Elizabeth were announced, it was sad their dancing time ends

TRAVERSING THE TRIO DANCE-SCAPE, the night in the memory book
Next week, Week Ten, we will return to the ballroom for another look!

TRAVERSING THE TRIO DANCE-SCAPE, it was a spectacular night!
The ballroom shook with applause, it was a DANCE-SCAPE of delight!

DWTS2013 Tony Dovolani Sees A New Confidence In Leah Remini, Teases On Surprises Coming

Tony Dovolani is back with a new blog at In Touch Weekly. In the snippet below he talks of Leah’s growing confidence and how she’s really attacking things now. He also says we’re in for a surprise next week and he knows Leah is going to wow the crowd (sigh). For the full blog, see the link.

I told her I’d keep her dancing and she replied, “You had better!” I see a whole new confidence from Leah and that’s something we always hope people accomplish while doing the show, so it’s nice to be a part of a journey that accomplished that.

And she’s looking good! I’ve noticed that her clothes are a lot tighter and she is feeling good about herself. It’s a great feeling to see your student blossom. Leah actually insists on not stepping on a scale, but she did say the show has changed her body quite a bit and she’s had to change her wardrobe completely. She’s walking tall; not that shy anymore and she’s feeling good about stuff.

She’s really attacking things now and that’s a huge difference. Before she’d get insecure and a little scared before a show. Now it’s the other way around and she attacks things really hard.

On Monday, we danced a regular tango and a jive with Henry Byalikov. The Jive could scare people but in this case Leah was really excited about it and we chose Henry because he and I have a history and we danced together with Melissa. I don’t want to spoil too may surprises for next week, but I know Leah is going to wow the crowd once again. Can’t wait for you all to see what we have in store!

DWTS Cheryl Burke Writes Of The Competition Going Into The Semi-finals, Her Goals For Next Week, And More

Cheryl Burke has written a new blog at Life & Style Magazine. She writes of how more confident Jack Osbourne is now that he’s made it this far on Dancing With The Stars. However, this coming week they know they have to have to come up with two really strong numbers if they want to make it to the end. Below are her thoughts on the current competition….

Jack and I still have to watch out for Corbin and Amber because they’re here – and going strong! All I know is that if they’re in that final, we can’t compete against them when it comes to hip hop or jazz.

I still have no idea what song we’re dancing to, but I would love to do something that Jack’s really good at. I tried to convince him to dance to his dad Ozzy Osbourne’s music, but he still won’t let me do that! I know it will never happen.

Until then, I think our biggest competition are Bill Engvall and Leah Remini because we’re all in the same category. You look at Corbin and you look at Amber and they’re just a level up from everyone else. They’re truly amazing!

But you know what, Jack is also amazingly talented. I never thought he’d be a dancer. I thought for sure in week four or week five, we would’ve been cut. But he’s proven me wrong, as well as most of America probably!

Bill Engvall Discusses His Weight Loss While Doing Dancing With The Stars

Bill Engvall tells In Touch Weekly that he’s dropped 25 pounds while doing Dancing With The Stars….and with no dieting what so ever. Here is more…

“I’ve lost 25 pounds,” the 56-year-old dad admitted to In Touch. “I started at a 35 and I’m down to a 32.”

He’s, of course, not the first star to slim down on the show; some of the celebrity dancers who have shown the most impressive change in physique during the past 17 seasons include Kirstie Alley, Jennie Garth, Mel B. and more!

As Bill explained, there’s no actually dieting involved with the apparent DWTS diet—just a ton of physical activity that makes the pounds melt off!

“No [changing my diet], just working 6 hours a day with this little whippersnapper,” he said, referring to his partner Emma.

ETA: And here are Bill and Emma on KTLA today! This week they are going to push the technique. They love and are so thankful for their fans. From here on out, the dances are for them! Lots more below. If you can’t see the video, go here.
