TMZ Reporting Maks Chmerkovskiy Will Be A Guest Judge For The DWTS Season 17 Semi-Finals
And here comes this rumor again! I don’t know what to think since sometimes TMZ is a good source for info for Dancing With The Stars? 😯 HELP! If this is true, I don’t think it’s right. Having Maks guest judge during the season might have been one thing, but, on the SEMI-FINALS? NO! Let us know what you think?
ETA: Stay tuned to GMA! Maks publicist is reporting there will be news on Maks. Note how she is very pleased and is supporting the TMZ rumor at her twitter.
ETA2: It’s true!!! Read this tweet from Good Morning America!! (Thanks to Amber Riley News for the heads up on this tweet)
Maksim Chmerkovskiy has really big disco balls … ’cause he’s not only returning to “Dancing With the Stars” — but he’s going back with a bigger job … TMZ has learned.
According to our ballroom sources, Maksim will make a surprise appearance Monday on “DWTS’ … as a guest judge.
We’re told the show’s former dance pro will be sitting right next to Bruno, Len and Carrie Ann during the semi-final performances.
More at TMZ.
Can’t wait to see him as guest judge!I can only imagine how funny it’s going to be seeing him sit in-between Carrie Ann and Bruno lol
Since Maks has judged actual ballroom dancing competitions and is certified to do so, he is highly qualified to judge the semi finals. Probably more the some of the current judges. Val being voted off this week, how convenient, there is no worries about him judging Val.
Thank you DWTS if this is true. Love to see Maks back on DWTS TV and I will actually watch the show that week. Have not watched all season.
If we are to believe the TMZ article they state that Len will be there as well…I don’t really see them NOT having Len there during the semis so I guess there will be 4 judges. Whatever your personally feelings are towards Maks he’s never dull so should be interesting for sure.
🙁
No offense but how are you going to have a pro who has NEVER won judge
a
– 4 time champ an emmy winner
– The fist pro to win twice back-to-back
– A pro who won the all-stars
– and another champ who will liklely win this season
does this make any sense????
@Maks Fan – Real ballroom competitions and DWTS are reeeeeallly different…just sayin’.
If there are 4 judges, that means more points = smaller margins = more potential for a finale shakeup. Not sure that having Maks as a judge is going to ensure that they get the finale lineup they want…
It’s not his ‘qualifications’ that bother me, Maks Fan. What disturbs me is ….WILL HE BE FAIR??
I actually kind of supported him guest judging during the season, but, not now since a lot rides on this since it’s the semi-finals.
Also, why do I get the feeling Amber and Derek have really been hosed now? 🙁
But, hey,…this is a time for Maks to prove he can be fair and a good judge? I’ll be curious if he can step up to the plate and do that? Though I still don’t think this was the proper time to test that.
And before anyone says I’m hating on him. Wrong. I’ve been a huge Maks fan in the past and he’s one of the reasons I became a fan to this show. I still like his dancing. I just haven’t been a fan to his egotistical and negative attitude especially during his last few seasons on DWTS which turned me off.
I do have mixed feelings about this.
1. Glad Val is out of the picture. His elimination worked out in Maks favor. Hmmmm.
2. I don’t think Maks has a fair bone in his body and is not the right fit for the job at hand. But then again, the judges haven’t judged fairly the entire season, so…
3. Maks is more qualified than Cher to sit at the judges table.
4. Some Maks fans will be delighted.
5. Not looking forward to the BIG deal the show will make with Maks return.
Val may be out of the picture…but his bff Tony is still there.
GAG! I forgot about Tony..
Maks won’t let personal feelings get in the way of fair judging? First, Tony and Leah…Now this. I guess we should see more overscoring for them. And will Maks judge Corbin and Karina fairly? We know he has a shaky history with her. Let’s not even talk about how he will judge Derek and Amber. I don’t like this at all.
Think this will be a very entertaining show as we all know Maks is famous for not filtering his words/opinions. In my opinion this is a good move & boost for a season that has been even stranger than normal with elimination shocks.
At least people will not have to worry about him judging his brother now but the cynic in me wonders about timing of this announcement!!
We must not forget… It Is Mak’s show!!
I’m staying positive about this. It can’t get any lower for Amber than having to do the Quickstep and Salsa Trio without being able to walk the day before. Amber is in great spirits and excited about Monday so I think she will have a wonderful performances. And I’m hoping Val adoration of Amber and her and Derek’s immense talent is a bigger influence than any past tiffs with Derek.
ugh ugh ugh
smaller margin
leah will get her first ten kill me now and amber will probably get hosed
that why tony was so confident in the AB episode
I can’t believe I’m going to say this but here goes..
I think I would rather have Maks than J. Lo at this point. Although I have some issues with Maks judging the semi-finals I would have even bigger issues with J. Lo.
I honestly think the added a 4th judge in hopes to make the judges scores have more weight and they can try and get Bill out. I am still waiting for the press release to see if they say anything about a double elimination.
I’m SO not looking forward to Maksim judging mainly.
1. He hates Derek. So I have a feeling Amber’s going to be in trouble this week.
2. He going to be judging his ex-fiance (Karina). I don’t think they like each other now. So Corbin might be in trouble too.
3. I predict Leah is going to get some pretty darn good scores from him. Because his BFF is Tony. Ugh.
4. I’m SUPER glad that Val is gone.
5. IT SHOULD BE LOUIS VAN AMSTEL GUEST JUDGING.
6.
6. WHY ARE THEY HAVING FOUR JUDGES ON THE SEMI-FINAL?
I was getting ready for work when I heard it on GMA this morning. After the “impartial” TD on AB, can’t wait for this one.
I think Maks will have to walk a fine line. I’d think he would want to appear fair and unbiased. In order to do that, he can’t have a wildly different score from the other three. But, if Amber or Corbin do a perfect routine, will Maks let them have the perfect 40? Maybe, since Karina got him a job this summer, she might stand a chance.
It’s up to him if he wants to be a professional or an a$$. I just think the semi-finals was the wrong time to do this.
@Roojie – Adding another judges’ score doesn’t give the judges scores more weight – it’s still going to count for 50% of the total score. If anything, it only shrinks the margins so it’s easier for a lower-scorer to bounce back with viewer votes.
Hah, at least now we know why Maks has been so quite about Liz elimination.
IF they are having 4 judges, Adam – right now we’re just speculating. I just don’t see them sitting Len out this late in the game, and I’m guessing that a small but vocal group of Maks fans likely gave the impression that having Maks as a judge would be a ratings booster.
I just hope he’s FAIR to ALL contestants. Just keep the feuding behind. And just focus on the Celebrities and not the Professionals.
I’m going to take a wait and see stance on Maks judging. I do agree having any guest judge during the semi-finals is not so great an idea.
My first thought when I saw this was that I guess The Fam really does OWN this show and when they have a big enough of a temper tantrum, they can get what they want.
My next thought was that there is NO WAY now that Amber and Derek will make the finals.
And then I thought how much I am NOT looking forward to Leah and Tony this week, or next week… Their performances, their smugness, their feeling that they are the only ones entitled to winning…………. I don’t want to see their faces when/if Amber and Derek are eliminated.
I’m a huge Houghaholic, and believe it or not I’m excited! I love all of the pros(okay, some more than others)!Maks doesn’t hate Derek,in fact they were hanging out at Jack birthday party the other day! He and Karina are friends now, sure it may boost Tony’s who,but Val is out of the picture! So…should be fair!
Well now we know why Tony is so sure they will make the finals. This really stinks…not Maks judging but the timimg.
As a Maks fan from the earlier seasons, I’m excited to see him again, but also apprehensive, wondering which Maks will actually show up Mon. night.
Best case scenario, he recognizes the judging as a unique opportunity to redeem himself by showing some class and rising above the awful pettiness and egotism we’ve seen before. If he is thoroughly professional, consistent and fair, he could actually come across as a far better and more relevant judge than the other three, given his more recent dance experience and work on the show as a pro. It could be a very smart career move if he handles it correctly.
Worst case scenario? He revels in the illusion of power, using it to reward friends (Tony and Leah), punish rivals (Derek and Amber), and dismiss an ex (Karina and Corbin). Either way, TPTB, probably don’t care how he behaves as long as enough of us tune in to watch.
Guess this means Leah and Tony are in the finals… A small part of me thinks Maks will be a fair judge and will judge everyone correctly EXCEPT for Tony. They’ll probably do such a horrible Arg. Tango and Paso but Maks (and the rest judges as usual) will be drooling over it.
Ughhhhhhhhhh.
Yeah, if you add a fourth judge it actually shrinks the margin. It doesn’t give them more weight – they’re still worth 50%. If anything, Maks could work to dilute Len temper tantrums. He could cause someone good to be eliminated so his buddy can stay in the competition by severely underscoring the front runners, but I don’t actually see that happening. I do agree that it now makes sense why Tony is certain he will make the final – but he forgets that the judges only count half, regardless. And that the last several people eliminated have had very high scores. But Tony is a idiot of gargantuan proportions, so there you go.
Frankly, I don’t really believe that Maks will rock the boat too much. He’s got more to lose now than he did when he was a competing pro. If he comes off as too much a jackass, he could risk future opportunities. He needs the audience on his side, and just having die hard Maks fans won’t cut it out in the real world. He will need ALL fans of the show. As for Derek – I think Derek considers him a friend, but Derek can be an idiot too. 🙂 I think they are friendly – and Derek may be in the position to give jobs to dancers next year. I don’t figure Tony is smart enough to figure that out, but Maks probably is and his publicist, as much as I don’t like her, is pretty shrewd.
I think Maks will be sweet as pie. This message brought to you by Heidi, the Optimist. I expect Maks to be a smart man. We’ll see if I’m wrong come Monday. 😀
Goodie for you, Maks fan. If you haven’t been watching the show, you probably shouldn’t be commenting on it.
More show details and another confirm on Maks: https://www.puredwts.com/2013/11/14/show-details-released-for-dancing-with-the-stars-season-17-semi-finals/
I agree with PH in #30.
Although I would have preferred to see him judge earlier in the season, I think he’ll try to be very fair. He won’t want to be seen as the asshole in the press who gave ridiculous scores to his business partner or his ex.
I think Maks was one of the worst pros/teachers on the show b/c he let his ego and temper interfere with teaching his celebrities, but I think he’d be a far better judge than pro.
And I’d love to see people like him, Louis, Shirley Ballas, etc. on as judges for a whole season instead of the 3 clowns we have now. Kym is doing it in Australia, isnt she? Or is she host? We need a retiring pro to become a judge here, too. But I’d probably take Louis over Maks.
I am sure this will cause more votes to be casted and hopefully not split on more than one couple. Problem is viewer voting has been closed for the semi finals. Any fan reaction to judging will not affect this change. If ever we needed to go to previous season vote for the dance after it happened it would have been this week.
A question, has it been determined if there is a Tuesday show for the final and how will the simmer be determined. By that I mean will there be any viewer voting on the final dances.
This. Is. Fantastic.
I will be the first person to admit it, I do NOT have an objective bone in my body right now. I want Bill to go as far as he can if he wins the trophy, he wins. If he doesn’t, he doesn’t. The more I see of Tony and Leah and getting their ba donky donks not only kissed but massaged the more I want Bill and Emma to go farther and farther. So much getting screwed is going on you would think it was an orgy.
Bill is not the Bristol of the season and the scary part is nobody realizes that. How convenient some have forgotten the judge love Bristol got.
I also want Amber and Derek to go far too. Right now I’m happy with any of the couples winning OTHER than Leah and Tony. But dang it I want Bill in there just for the BS they pull on him more so but I also I want Amber in it for the BS they pulled on her. Add Corbin and Jack into that as well.
If they had scored others more fairly maybe I wouldn’t be as pushy about it but they didn’t and by doing so created something that has gotten so…ugh.
Tony needs a Cheryl makeover. I don’t know what she did but this is the Cheryl I would cheer for. She needs more Jacks in her future.
That being said I’m not sure Maks being there would really add anything other than more points and the chance for someone to get screwed. The judges may have been hard on his celebs in the past but never on Maks himself, unlike Derek and Len blatantly taking points away from Amber for it, even after telling her she did great.
That is what is messed up about Maks being a guest judge in the Finals. Not that he will misbehave or be out to get anyone but because once again it’s all about Tony and Leah and getting the sheeples to believe it.
Or at least in my opinion that’s why it is messed up.
And thank you for listening to my tirade. I’ve been holding that in for a few days now. I love you my pure peeps.
I will go back to behaving now. 😉
I think Maks will go out of his way to be a fair judge on the show. My guess would be that he’ll judge the couples as he should and he’ll probably stick with the other judges in over scoring Leah and Tony. I just wish it weren’t in the semi-finals.
I also think Maks will try to appear very fair and positive – unless he is directed to do otherwise, if you know what I mean. He has a lot riding on this – he’s a very recently excised pro, and unlike Julianne he hasn’t made movies or anything (even if all of hers sucked and had bad to middling box-office success). He has to prove himself above it all – OR if he goes the “bad Maks” route, he’ll generate more short-term buzz, perhaps, but might burn some bridges along the way. But I do think he’s smart enough to go the positive route – that’s my prediction anyway.
That being said, I am even more positive now that Leah is going to make the finals. Since the votes are coming from the night of her judges jive (which I’m sure the general voting public loved, despite its not-very-good dancing), and Bill is facing some backlash from the Elizabeth elimination, I am going to say that Leah is in (plus the judges will probably rave) and Bill is out – but of course there’s always the shock elimination of Amber or Corbin – or maybe Jack is the one not getting the votes. I realize I just named all the celebs, haha, but my point is that unless the judges get REALLY REAL with Leah next week, she’s in the finals and one of the more capable/likable celebs is out, unfortunately, and seeing how much I despise Tony, this irks me a bit.
A “boost for the season?” Maks fans have this delusional view that the ratings are nothing without him when they’re actually UP this season, and rising week to week. They also labor under the mis-impression that the ratings went up last time Maks came back. Nope.
Oh what I meant to say is that unless the judges get REALLY REAL with Leah – and with this news, I don’t predict that’ll happen with Maks sitting there – she’s going to be overscored yet again and we’ll say goodbye to a more deserving celeb and have to endure Leah all the way through to the finals. Which sucks because I think a Corbin/Amber/Jack/Bill finale would be awesome for each of the strengths that those celebs and their partners bring.
@Stoli
The Finale is two nights. Monday perform Tuesday results, which is on the 26th of November. Kindly correct me if I am wrong but I believe it will be the votes from this coming Monday/Tuesday and the Monday of the Finale that gets counted to who wins.
@Fig
They had their chance to get Really, Real on Leah. They blew it. They basically told the sheeples Leah is a better dancer than Amber last week by scoring Leah higher. Then said Bill didn’t deserve to be there by lowering his scores to all 7’s.
They’re past reality and in their own little universe now.
Which is ok because in MY universe Leah was eliminated weeks ago, the sky is purple with cotton candy clouds and people realize this is an entertainment show.
I don’t think Maksim will over score Leah at all despite Tony. I think Kirstie Alley would love to see Leah gone before the finals, how nice would that be with Maks at the judges table.
I just hope it doesn’t become the Maks show. I can’t say that I’ve really missed him too much, expecially since Val is on the show.
I hope he is fair and does as good a job as Julianne did when she judged.
I think Maks will be on his best behavior. I imagine the show is looking for a young ballroom judge to replace Len. I’m pretty sure Len isn’t the one who wanted to take two weeks off this season. The show was tinkering and auditioning. Maks might very well be hoping for a permanent spot next season.
I think it’s past time that Amber went home. She is not growing anymore. Perhaps it’s her injury, but I’m not seeing any real progress from her. I think Bill or Amber should leave. Leah is being hyped too much. Maks will be a fair judge. He’s not foolish enough to mess this up. Julianne Hough did fine and so will Maks.
I think Tony>Kirstie in terms of Maks’s world. I could be wrong, but just my opinion on that hierarchy.
I do think they’ve been “auditioning” and trying to gauge whether to change up the judges for next season – they aren’t committing to it and may abandon the idea, but seeing how things go. I honestly think of the three guest judges of this year, Maks will do a better job of being fair and relevant, while still providing entertainment value as well – at least during this “audition”. If he was to be named a permanent judge, well that’s a different story altogether. THAT would make me a little nervous for non-family pros and their celebs.
Just what we need another stooge to join the panel.
While I’m not convinced that Maks will conduct himself appropriately, I’m happy to be proven wrong.
The kind of wild card I see is Len. Aside from his normal crabbiness, it will be the first time we’ll hear from him since the departure of his beloved Elizabeth. I feel like Len will want to “take it out on” someone. Anyone. In conversation between them before the show begins, I can absolutely see Len looking to Maks for commiseration about the horribleness of it all. Even assuming that Maks is on his best behavior, it’s hard for me to imagine him resisting the opportunity to convey his feeling that his brother was robbed. I think that will fuel Len’s contemptuousness (which really doesn’t need fueling) and make him, shall we say, more unpleasant than usual. It doesn’t take much. Again, happy to be proven wrong.
For the most part I’m going to try to just focus on Amber and Derek and hope that they can finally dance up to their potential. I feel really badly for Amber; she’s without a doubt the kind of person who would soak up as much as she could from this experience, and clearly her knees have thwarted that opportunity. Thinking of the choreo that Derek could do with her, and then thinking about him ratcheting it all down is such a shame. Amber’s been tweeting good stuff, so I’m hopeful that they’re going to really really — finally — bring it on Monday. I’m going to concentrate on that, and then on Monday sit back and watch the rest of the circus unfold.
I know this will sound sarcastic coming from me but, I had to say it…
Maks judging on DWTS after his behavior and negative comments about the show kinda reminds me of Charlie Sheen or Lindsey Lohan… Act up, talk smack and get rewarded for it-LOL Interesting, they didn’t mention it on Monday night..
I’m sure he will be ok as a judge this is a golden opportunity for him. However, I think its in bad taste to have him guest judge during the semi-finals or any time this season-IMO. Umm, and people want to say Derek is the chosen one-LOL
Boo!!
“A “boost for the season?” Maks fans have this delusional view that the ratings are nothing without him when they’re actually UP this season, and rising week to week. They also labor under the mis-impression that the ratings went up last time Maks came back. Nope.”
Is that a fact Heidi, or just your opinion? This is what I read at Tvline.com.
“Dancing With the Stars stumbled this week, hitting an all-time demo low for a Monday telecast — with a 1.7 rating — while dipping 9 percent in audience to 12.5 million total viewers.”
And I’ll just bet the ratings do go up next Monday. Is everybody that afraid that Derek won’t get that stupid mirrorball again? I’m sure he will. I’m equally sure Maks will be a fair judge to him Karina, and all the other contestants, even the ones that can’t get him jobs. Kinda makes you wonder how he made it this far on his own. Judging DWTS isn’t that much different from judging actual ballroom competitions. Or it shouldn’t be. This is a ballroom dancing contest. Or it was. Not sure exactly what it is anymore.
If he gives Leah a 10, I will be mad.
I’m actually sort of excited to see Maks on monday. I think he’ll be kind as a judge because he’s been in that position before and it would be a smart PR move on his part to do that rather than stir controversy.
It will be interesting to see what Maks shows up. Given some of his behavior as a competing pro, he might be technically strict – and long as he applies it *equally* to *every* couple, that would be okay.
Is he likely to overscore Tony and Leah? Probably, if the other judges continue their overscoring – he wouldn’t want Tony to perceive that he’s being harsh. If the other judges get real with their scores for Leah (one can always hope), then I don’t think Maks would blatantly overscore her.
Someone mentioned Kirstie Alley above – yes, Maks is closer to Tony, but, if he (Maks) is hoping to go on to bigger and better things through Kirstie and her connections, he might temper some of that “family first” feeling (which would be another reason to score with the other judge – of course, Maks isn’t known for his political astuteness or strategy.
With this news I am resigned to the fact that Leah (the one I have wanted gone forever) will be in the finals now and as others have said that is why Tony was so confident on the After Buzz show.
I have wanted a Corbin/Amber/Jack/Bill final forever. To me that would make a very entertaining final.
@Figamentation #38 and 40 I totally agree and definitely on the same page as you.
I hope that Maks will be as fair as I thought Julianne was. She offered constructive criticism, but didn’t score any different then the other two judges. She was on early enough in the season, which was okay, but just as I didn’t think it was right to have Tony on After Buzz while still competing I don’t think it’s fair to bring Maks on the show for the semi-finals. I wouldn’t mind if they had him on earlier when Val was still there because it was the same situation as Julianne being there while her brother was still competing.
It’s no secret that Maks, Val and Tony are business partners and extremely close. They are like brothers and so I definitely see Maks being extremely kind to both Leah and Tony. I also see very clearly by the judges scoring of Leah that they have jumped on the Leah and Tony train. I do expect Leah and Tony to get their perfect score this week. I expected them to get it with or without Maks.
So one of my couples of my dream team will be gone and for me it’s very disappointing. What’s more disappointing is that Leah will be there to the end. Even if she has improved some I have never cared for Tony’s choreograph. I think we will be cheated from an amazing final because of that. Derek/Karina/Cheryl/Emma imo are miles ahead and have given us some amazing choreograph. I’m just sad that we will lose the chance to see the choreograph of whichever couple is eliminated.
Not unexpected but UGH all the same. He’s so past the point of no return he overrides what remains of my enjoyment of (and frankly faith in) the show. So this one’s a pass for me.
ugh!
I was hoping i would never see Maks face on this show again! I guess the drop in ratings last week triggered the producers to stir up something desperately!
Maks probably have the qualification, but for a pro considered to be one of the weakest teachers and choreographers,,,,,,,i’m not sure about that. Other than being egotistic and bullish, what is his right to judge other pros who are heads and shoulders better than he is?
Maks judging others looks to be insulting for the other pros. Just my opinion about him.He maybe interesting, but i’m not one of those people excited to see him return. He’s caused so much damage already, and doesn’t deserve to be rewarded over and over for it!
Fact, Auntie. Here’s what I read last week: “Growing week to week in Total Viewers, “Dancing” drew its biggest audience in 7 weeks – since its season premiere on 9/16/13.”
Note the words “growing week to week” – exactly what I said above. As for overall, there have been several articles posted on this site in the past few weeks that have noted that the ratings for this season were up from last fall – I think the number was 4%.
Of course a Maks fan would look at ONE week as opposed to a season as a whole. Similar to the last time they claimed that Maks caused a rise in ratings, when in actuality, if you look at the preceding weeks, it was a RETURN TO NORMAL after a dip the previous week due to sports.
Yes, the ratings WILL go up next monday, since they ALWAYS dip in the middle of the season and then rise toward the final. This is a pattern that I actually did an entire post on a while back – happens nearly every season. Derek? Red herring in your argument designed to draw attention from your lack of context elsewhere. Derek ain’t winning this season, as most fans here have accepted since the start of the season – but that’s an inconvenient fact too, ain’t it?
And, dear auntie, I’m one of the ones that actually thought Maks wouldn’t be too bad, or at least that’s what I was hoping – but hey, don’t let silly things like the truth get in your way.
ETA: I actually looked to make sure I hadn’t imagined it. Last fall’s season premiere had total viewers of 14.11 million viewers. The season premiere this season had 16.04 million viewers. Second ep last fall had 11.71 mil…second ep this fall had 13.57. Overall, you can’t point to one single person and make a claim that they are the reason for a ratings rise or fall – that’s insanity. I shot Derek fans down when they tried to make that claim, and I will certainly shoot Maks fans down for too. Besides, I doubt very much that there are that many people who will NOT watch if a certain pro isn’t on – not in terms of a percentage of the total audience. And Maks, who is quite a few years older than the boyish looking Derek certainly can’t make any claims on the key demo. Especially not when DWTS is up against the Voice now, when it hadn’t been prior to two seasons ago.
Karen, I’m quite sure it WAS Len who wanted to take two weeks off this season – it’s not the first time he’s done it. Having flown to London, I can tell you that both ways is LONG and hard with the time change – and I was flying from the Eastern time zone, not pacific. I can’t even imagine how Len does it every single week.
IF Len were to leave the show, I’m quite sure that it would be at his choice. There was an interview with him where he states that if he had to give up one dancing show it would be DWTS. Len is English, lives in England and is newly-ish married.
Butterfly, Maks (and a lot of his fans) don’t seem to understand the whole idea of being diplomatic and professional because doing otherwise may come back to bite you in the future. You have to be at a much higher level, fame wise, before you can stop doing that.
:::looks around for the Tony/Maks/Val fans who were bitching about Julianne and the possible favoritism::: Nope, nary a peep. Not surprised.
Auntie Bellum,
So you think Derek’s fans are “worried” about him winning a 5th MBT-LOL As a fan, all I expect is that he and his partner be treated fairly and with respect. This is suppose to be about the celebrity’s journey, correct? Having said that, Amber deserves a shot at the MBT just as any other contestant.
Derek’s a, wait for it, “Emmy Award Winning Choreographer” who also happens to have 4 MBTs. As a fan, I couldn’t be more proud. So nope, not worried.-LOL that is IMO-cray cray
Thank you very much..
100% agree with you Upclose22. 🙂
So glad Val is gone. The man is not capable of keeping his mouth shut. I read on several blogs and the ABC board that Val apparently made comments on an SiriusXM interview about the other contestants. Just listened to the interview. Ugh. He said Liz wanted it more than anyone else and that some contestants are just on the show for the check and they don’t care.
He said that is what upsets him the most. That people didn’t reward the person (Liz) that wanted it the most.
I guess it is time for him to bash others since he couldn’t make it all the way. I hope one day Val finds some class.
How can Val decide everyone’s motivation levels, and what motivates them??? Unless each person has expressed to him, “I don’t really want this and I’m only doing it for the check,” how in the world can Val know???
Val, every time I *think* I might start to like you, you pull something like this, and dig the hole a little deeper.
I love that the Maks fans think he will make the ratings soar because HE has returned to the ballroom. :::rolls eyes:::
Look at it this way. When you are stuck in traffic and don’t know why. Then you finally get to the spot where there is an accident in the oncoming lanes. Then you pause to see what’s going on. The traffic was caused by rubber-necking.
If the ratings are high Monday, the reasons are: it is the semi-finals and some tune in just for that; and they are wondering which Maks they will see. One who can be professional and unbiased or the other Maks who thinks it is “his show”. Plus, we know how well he speaks. Hope he’s not wearing pointy shoes. The night is a train wreck waiting to happen. And that is why people will tune in.
I think the semis was the wrong time for this, but by now, we know how TPTB think. The nice, pleasant fun show is gone. This is the puppet show with no curtain to hide behind.
Sorry, haven’t been reading back, so it may have been said already…. a British red top has a headline in tomorrows paper suggesting Len is to quit ‘Telly Dance Show’. No clue which one yet. Or if it’s true – the paper is a total rag 😉
