This past July, we posted about an up and coming “Dancing With The Stars At Sea “Champions Cruise” to take place after the first of the year. Now more dancers and celebrities have been added to the show including Derek Hough, Emma Slater, Sharna Burgess, and Carson Kressley to name a few. Below is More from Market Watch.

Derek Hough, the Emmy® Award-winning dancing professional best known for his role on the hit ABC television show “Dancing with the Stars”, is scheduled to perform on the Jan. 12, 2014, “Dancing with the Stars: At Sea” Champions Cruise on ms Nieuw Amsterdam.

Hough will join fellow professional dancers Tristan MacManus and Kym Johnson and actress Sabrina Bryan, who were previously announced to sail on the Champions Cruise as well as the Jan. 5, 2014, theme cruise departure aboard Nieuw Amsterdam. Both seven-day Caribbean sailings will also now feature singer Joey Fatone, television personality Carson Kressley and professional dancers Sharna Burgess and Emma Slater.

“We are thrilled to have superstar and Emmy® Award-winning dance pro Derek Hough bring his talents to Nieuw Amsterdam’s stage on the ‘Dancing with the Stars: At Sea’ Champions Cruise,” said Richard Meadows, executive vice president of sales, marketing and guest programs for Holland America Line. “This will be an incredibly exciting cruise, with a stellar line-up of dance pros and stars from the hit ABC show, along with the guest dance-off Champions competition featuring winners from previous dance-offs held this year onboard our 15 ships.”

While onboard, the dance pros and celebrities will perform for guests, dazzling the audience with routines from the television series in the ship’s main show lounge. Additional events on the theme cruises include dance lessons with the shipboard professional dancers, a special fashion show featuring the glamorous show costumes, and a chance to meet the dance pros and celebrities, ask questions and take photos with them.

DWTS Mark Ballas Talks Of How He Quit Smoking, It was An On-Going Fight Until….

Give it up for Mark Ballas! He’s now been an “ex-smoker” now for 6 months. Below is more from CNBC for how he accomplished it.

Emmy-nominated choreographer, Dancing with the Stars® professional dancer and recording artist Mark Ballas, can now add “former smoker” to his credits thanks to Blueprint to Quit. The multi-faceted star has been smoke-free for more than 6 months thanks to the comprehensive, two-part quit-smoking resource, Blueprint to Quit, available exclusively at Walmart. Now, Ballas is telling his story and sharing his personal “Quit Steps” in hopes of helping others find a way to quit smoking and live a healthier lifestyle.

Ballas, who began smoking as a teenager, can relate to the everyday struggle millions of Americans encounter when trying to quit smoking. Triggers like stress and being around other smokers always pushed him to light-up another cigarette, but when smoking began impacting his stamina and endurance – traits at the cornerstone of his career – Ballas turned to Blueprint to Quit, which combines two resources for quitting smoking: online behavioral support through QuitNet and nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) to address the physical dependence on cigarettes.

“Practicing the utmost discipline in so many parts of my life, I didn’t expect quitting smoking to be a struggle,” said Ballas. “Day in and day out, I juggled dance rehearsals, tapings, long nights at the studio writing and recording music, and yet quitting smoking was an ongoing fight until now, thanks to Blueprint to Quit. The program allowed me to tackle tough cravings, stick to a plan that worked for me and seek support when I need it. Now, I’m proud to say I’m smoke free – my days are easier and more enjoyable as a result. I hope I can help inspire other smokers who face the same obstacles start their quit journey.”
