Kym Johnson And Tristan MacManus Interviewed About Ballroom With A Twist And Dancing With The Stars (Video)

Awww, it’s so good to see Kym Johnson and Tristan MacManus again! If you head to WCHS TV, you can hear them talking about Ballroom With A Twist in a new interview. The two former Dancing With The Stars pros are in Charleston, West, Virginia to dance tonight at the Clay Center! In the new interview, Kym and Tristan also talk all about Dancing With The Stars, preparing for the show, their past partners, costuming, and lots more. Be sure you see the new interview HERE. If you live in the Charleston area, be sure to see them in Ballroom With A Twist tonight. If you aren’t able to see them, see our Ballroom With A Twist Schedule as they are travelling to New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Missouri and New Jersey next. I saw the show in February and I can tell you, it’s a great time! It’s so fun to see our Pros up close and personal like that. Be sure to see it!

ETA: Rave reviews for Tristan, Kym, and this show from the WV Gazette! Check it out….

The show’s hosts, Johnson and McManus, injected a bit of light-hearted humor into the evening, inviting the audience to ask them questions.

“I imagined myself with George Clooney,” Johnson said in response to a question as to how her dance partners were selected, “but I got Jerry Springer.”

She went on to add that Springer turned out to be a great dance partner and she had a lot of fun with him.Johnson and McManus also led the audience in a group dance session, cheering and encouraging everyone to get out of their seats and shimmy to the beat.

But if applause was any indication, the evening’s mega star clearly was Jonathan “Legacy” Perez, who captivated and awed with his gymnastic, gravity defying break dancing moves.Indeed, ballroom dance is alive and well, but with a few contemporary tweaks. These twists provided enough oomph to satisfy audiences of all ages and leave them on their feet and cheering for more.

PureDWTS Gossip Talk: Maria Menounos To Replace Erin Andrews?

Update: GossipCop is reporting that it is just a rumor. Doesn’t make it any less fun to consider Maria as host.

I imagine this is total gossip from Showbiz Spy, but, it made me think of Maria Menounos and what a great host of Dancing With The Stars she could be. Would you be up for it next season if she were to replace Erin?

Insiders claim that the 35-year-old earned enemies due to her diva behavior, including arriving late and complaining about things like her wardrobe and parking spot.

“Her cold, masculine commentary might work well on the football field, but it just comes across as harsh on Dancing With the Stars.

“Producers love Maria’s charm and easygoing way with celebrities. Plus, her experience talking to celebs during difficult moments is second to none. That’s what this show needs.”

More at Showbiz Spy.

Dancing With The Stars Season 18 TV Ratings For March 24th – 30th

TV By The Numbers is reporting Dancing With The Stars came in 3rd in total Primetime viewership numbers for the week of March 24th – 30th. It fell a notch from last week (in total viewership numbers), but, this is still outstanding. I also love that it beat out The Voice!

1 NCIS-03/25 CBS 17520
2 NCIS: LOS ANGELES-03/25 CBS 15543

13 Castle-03/24 ABC 9777
14 Amazing Race-03/30 CBS 9512
15 American Idol-WEDNESDAY-03/26 FOX 9328

Also note that Dancing With The Stars came in 8th in Nielson’s Twitter TV ratings.

As for this week’s Dancing With The Stars, ABC Media Net is reporting it “stood as Monday’s most-watched TV show for the 3rd week running”.

Ok, that is all for now. Let us know what you think. I continue to be saddened for how American Idol keeps dipping in numbers. I think this season has the best talent. Every contestant is so good and offers something different (in my opinion). Though I think what the show is missing the most is Simon, Paula, and Randy. *those where the days*
