More Photos Of DWTS Karina Smirnoff And Slavik Kryklyvyy, Miami Dance Show Coming Up

Wasn’t this a great moment on Dancing With The Stars this week? I loved it….and it’s always great to see Karina Smirnoff with the cast this season as many of us were sad to see her and Sean Avery leave the show so soon.

Speaking of Karina, M. Zin sent us a link where you can view more beautiful pictures of she and Slavik Kryklyvyy dancing in Dance Legends in New York City. You can view them at Dance Sport Photography and Stephen Marino Photography at Facebook. Also (and I think someone posted about this in comments last week), Karina and Slavik will be dancing together again in Miami on April 26th. If interested in tickets, see the Miami Open. Let’s hope someone is there to take more pictures of them dancing together as they are just steaming up the dance floor again!

Candace Cameron Bure Co-Hosting The View Thursday, Mark Ballas Writes New DWTS Blog

Just a heads up! If interested, be sure to tune into The View on Thursday as Candace Cameron Bure will be co-hosting. They’ll be posting the episode at this link in case you miss the show or can’t watch it on TV. I bet she’ll talk about Dancing With The Stars.

Speaking of, Mark Ballas writes at She Knows of how difficult it was for them to be in the bottom two again this week on Dancing With The Stars. One thing is for sure…he and Candace are going to be working harder than ever for Latin Week. Here is more….

I have to say it was rough being saved last again this week. I was nervous before elimination, but again I had a feeling we were OK and we’d make it through. I felt confident in our performance last week, and I know our fans have our backs. A huge thank-you to the fans for voting for us.

Drew and Cheryl did a great job this season. They really brought a lot of fun to the show. I know we’re all going to miss having them around.

Next week is Latin Week on the show and we’ve got some fun stuff up our sleeves. This week is another busy week of rehearsals, and Candace and I are going to be working as hard as ever to kill it.

You can read more of his new blog at She Knows.

Also, don’t miss reading a new interview with Candace at US Weekly. She mentions how she’d like to see a season full of Full House stars on Dancing With The Stars. Uhhh, no….

In fact, Bure would like to see a season of DWTS with just Full House stars. “DWTS Full House edition! Oh my gosh, yes,” she told Us. “That would be so fun. I would totally do it.”

For now, though, she’ll have to settle with having Barber in the audience every week (with an occasional pop-in from one of their other costars, like Lori Loughlin). “She’s just over the moon that I’m on the show,” Bure said of Barber. “She loves coming. I think she’s coming again next week. It’s become Andrea’s mommy’s night out! She comes to the show and then we go to dinner and have a few drinks after.”

This week was the exception, since Bure was tied up in rehearsals until midnight. “The competition is so fierce this season,” she told Us. “The difference of the leaderboard, what’s separating the top from the bottom, isn’t that many points. But at the end of the day, it still makes a huge difference. If I don’t have enough fans voting for me, I could go home! Being in jeopardy two weeks in a row is nerve-wracking. I just hope my fans push me through again!”

James Maslow Writes Of DWTS Week 6, He And Peta Murgatroyd Have A Samba Next

James Maslow has written about this week’s dance with Peta Murgatroyd. He thought the judges were a “little harsh” on them this week, but, they’re the professionals and know what they are doing. Peta told him too that he needed to bend his knees more. Also note how James talks of next week’s dance. He and Peta have a Samba. Here is more from Parade….

Stress is definitely building throughout the competition. Everybody’s nice, but at the same time, everybody wants to win. We’re getting longer and more difficult songs and dances. It’s inevitable that stress is going to build. It’s crazy, especially since there are only two dudes left [myself and Charlie White]. I looked around during the elimination and we’re almost at half the group we started with, so it’s sad. The competition is fun, but it’s sad to see people you like get eliminated.

Looking forward to Latin night and performing two dances
Salsa was fun, so hopefully we can make this team dance more of that vibe. We have samba next week. I’m hoping that I get it! I might be filming something as well, so I’m really juggling a lot of balls these days. Dancing With the Stars is my priority, but if the scheduling works — then that would be fun!

Charlie White On DWTS: “The dance floor is a totally different kind of monster”

The Pittsburgh Post Gazette interviewed Charlie White about he and Meryl Davis’ ice skating, their gold medal, and the new “Stars On Ice” show. They also asked him about Dancing With The Stars. I love how Charlie says the dance floor is a total different monster versus the ice rink. More below. Great article! Be sure to read it in full at the link. And don’t you just love the pic above of he and Sharna dancing in the black lights? Awwww So cool! More pics at Getty Images.

Davis and White — skating partners since 1997 — have spent the past two months performing side-by-side on the “Stars on Ice” figure-skating tour and separately in ABC’s hit dance competition “Dancing with the Stars.”

It’s been an “intense” and “exhausting” saga, White said by phone Saturday, but “we’re in the best shape of our lives. We’re also having the time of our lives. And we’re not taking any of it for granted.”

The only difficult part, White said, is the dance floor.

“The ice just feels like home, especially now after I’m realizing how much I take for granted,” he said. “The dance floor is a totally different kind of monster. You think you know how to walk, but you actually have no idea how to walk like these guys.”

Monday, on the Week 6 airing of “Dancing With the Stars,” Davis and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy tangoed to a perfect score of 40; White and Sharna Burgess’s cha-cha finished four points back and in third place.

“People like to bring up the fact that we’re competing against each other and ask if that feels weird, but it doesn’t,” White said. “It feels like we’re in it together.

“Obviously, after 17 years of skating together, on top of the fact that we just won an Olympic gold medal, we know exactly what the other person is going through. It’s just nice to have someone that’s there to support you and have fun with you and be tired with you.”

Afterbuzz TV Reviews DWTS18 Week 6 With Henry Byalikov, Dance Teasers For Next Week

Kristyn Burtt is back this week (yay! I missed her last week!)! She, Suri Serano, Anna Trebunskaya, and Henry Byalikov down the dances for Dancing With The Stars Season 18 Week 6. As well as the dances, they review Redfoo as a judge….the panel didn’t like him, but, Henry liked him (as I did!). They also talked of the Macy’s Stars Of Dance. This part was fascinating as Henry explains how long rehearsals took, the technicalities, and gives Derek Hough and Allison huge props for how they put the routine together! He describes Derek as “phenomenal” and Allison as a “beast”. Note also that Kristyn mentions Charlie has a Paso Doble and Meryl has a Salsa next week. Henry also gives some hints of the new opening number and what it will be like. Another great show!
