Bring it on, but, I’ve got the jitters big time this week. Abby Miller is scaring me! 😯

Here’s the thing…when we get into the weeks where there are TWO dances, the margins get tighter, instead of bigger. More points are handed out. But the big question is – do the points handed out to the eliminated dancer count in the overall judges score? Because THIS WEEK, it could make all the difference in the world. People are worried about Charlie and James, but they don’t have it that hard in terms of what they have to get in votes to make up the difference in the judges scores – honestly, no one appears to be uber safe this week, I don’t think.
Let’s get right to it, shall we? See the table below for the judges scores and the percentage of the total for each celebrity, with NeNe’s scores included.
I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)
Just some media tidbits to start a Sunday. First up, the 2014 25th Anniversary Emerald Ball took place in Los Angeles last night. Corky and Shirley Ballas were two of the judges. On the night, Shirley commented that it she called it “one of her favorites”. It was “full of fun. Young dancers. Fun dancers. Champions etc. Well put together I really enjoyed it.”. Karina Smirnoff, Gleb Savchenko, and Elena Samodanova were also in attendance. Below are a couple of fun pics from the event.
And speaking of Shirley Ballas….last night she also commented on at her facebook that she had seen Mark’s new video “Get My Name”. I love the “wow wow wow’s”….
Just seen the music video of mark produced and directed by Derek. Wow wow wow x
Don’t forget, you’ll be able to download this new single tomorrow. Also, Mark will be performing it on Dancing With The Stars tomorrow night as previously reported. ETA Correction: the video will be out next week!
Also, don’t miss seeing Bruno Tonioli at the Daily Mail. He made an appearance at the Jaguar North America And BritWeek Presents A Villainous Affair at the London West Hollywood car event this past week. He had to give the cars a “10” of course! 😀
Lastly (and something I missed this past week), the Ice network interviewed Lindsay Arnold on Meryl and Charlie’s dances this past week. Note how she called Charlie and Sharna’s Paso Doble “one of the best she’s seen on the show”. Below is more for what she commented. I thought I’d throw this news in this post since we haven’t seen much promo from this team this week. You can read more on Meryl at the link.
“The paso doble is one of the most intense dances you can do. You need strong lines from the male and beautiful, also-strong lines from the woman,” said DWTS troupe member Lindsay Arnold, also a top-eight finisher on So You Think You Can Dance in 2012.
Arnold said she thought White and Burgess’ paso doble was one of the best she’s seen on the show and she disagreed with the judges’ assessment, which was two 9s, an 8 and a 10.
“He was able to get strong lines, but then he was able to show fluidity through his motion,” Arnold said.
“Charlie never disappoints,” she said. “I feel every single week he goes out there and does his absolute best. He’s able to work through any problem he has. … He already has a smart dancer mentality.”
Breathtaking!!
And that is all…for now. One more day until dance time!!! Good luck to All! ~Vogue over and out!xx
