RANK Peta Murgatroyd’s Dancing With The Stars Partners, New Interview
OK! Magazine interviewed Dancing With The Stars Peta Murgatroyd while she was in New York City last week. They ask her all sorts of questions like….who has been the faster learner of her partners and who had the most rhythm. She also answers questions about the show in general for who has the best body, who has been the moodiest celebrity, who has been the most stylish, etc.. Some of her answers might surprise you. Lot’s of mentions on Maks Chmerkovksiy, James Maslow, and Donald Driver. Fun interview. Be sure you take a listen at OK! Magazine.
So, Peta has inspired a new question. If you were to rank Peta’s partners on Dancing With The Stars from your favorite to least favorite, how would you rank them? Let us know in comments. Here’s how I’d rank them:
1. Donald Driver – this was the ultimate!!
2. Brant Daugherty
3. Gilles Marini
4. James Maslow
5. Metta World Peace
6. Sean Lowe
Note: We’ll have more questions like these in the future. So, stay tuned!
1. James Maslow
2. Donald Driver
3..Brant Daugherty
4. Gilles Marini
5. Metta World Peace
6. Sean Lowe
1. Donald Driver
2. James Maslow
3. Brant Daugherty
4. Gilles Marini
5. Metta World Peace
6. Sean Lowe
Poor Kym J. Surprised by Peta’s honesty about Jaleel being moody. Must have been a rougher season for Kym than we ever saw. Peta actually seems “shyer” and more reserved than the sexy dancer. She needs to disconnect from the “Fam” for her own well being and move on to a nice guy who will treat her well. JMO.
1. Donald Driver – he was probably the only one I really liked..
2. James Maslow
3. Brant Daugherty
4. Gilles Marini
5. Metta World Peace
(big gap)
6. Sean Lowe
1) Donald Driver: He was the complete package: personality and could dance. Plus, the fact that he always was so positive was great.
2) James Maslow: He took to ballroom dance like a duck to water and was a funny and nice person.
3) Brant Daugherty: Was he perfect as a dancer? Nope but he was enjoying ever minute out there. That’s what counts in the long run in my opinion.
4) Sean Lowe: I always referred to him as the The Human Ken doll and was a little tough on him when he was on the show. He was not Mr. Personality but he put 110% into the show and I have to commend him for that.
5) Gilles Marini: This was not the Giles that danced with Cheryl. It was like Dr. Jekeyll and Mr. Hyde with him. One week he was nice and normal the next he was overdoing everything. Does anyone else remember the foxtrot he did with Peta. That was a highlight for them but I just remember being annoyed by him.
6) Ron Artest/Metta World Peace: He was bad…….not much more to say.
1. James Maslow
2. Donald Driver
3. Brant Daugherty
4. Gilles Marini
5. Metta World Peace
6. Sean Lowe
Wow, people harshing on Sean when I actually think that (at least in terms of personality) showed a sense of humor – loved his bromance thing with Tristan. Hilarious. The bottom of the barrel for me would be Metta and Gilles. Man, did Gilles ruin his own rep with the show by going back a second time.
I’m gonna do two lists. Dance ability and likability.
Dance Ability:
1) James Maslow
2) Gilles Marini
3) Donald Driver
4) Brant Daugherty
5) Sean Lowe
6) Metta World Peace (I still can’t believe he changed his name to that).
Likability:
1) Donald Driver
2) James Maslow
3) Brant Daugherty
4) Sean Lowe
5) Metta World Peace
6) Gilles Marini
Donald Driver – he was a gem, and this is coming from a Bears fan!
James Maslow and Brant Daugherty are a close two and three – I liked them both a lot more than I expected
Metta World Peace (I actually like Ron, despite his mega-crazy mind)
Gilles – I gave him a thousand chances to redeem himself in his Peta season, but boy did he disappoint and I was so glad when he was eliminated. I still watch his dances with Cheryl and I try to forget anything he did with Peta
Sean Lowe – I liked his Tristan bromance, but it didn’t do enough to make me not dislike him the most of these guys.
1. Donald Driver – Arguably my favorite MBT winner to date. Love him.
2. James Maslow – I was surprised how much I liked him.
3. Sean Lowe – I liked his Tristan bromance as well.
4. Brant Daugherty – likeable and tried hard.
5. Gilles – Big disappointment.
6. Meta World Peace – Has to be in last place, because I don’t even remember his time on the show.
1. Donald Driver
2. James Maslow
3. Brant Daugherty
–big gap here–
4. Sean Lowe
5. Gilles Marini
6. Metta World Peace
1. Donald
2. James
3. Brant
A gap as wide as the ocean, then the rest:
4. Sean Lowe
5. Meta
6. Gilles
I think if Peta had gotten Gilles now, after six seasons as a pro, she would be less inclined to let him run the show like it appears he did in the All-Star season, much to his own detriment.
Donald was a dream partner.
1. James : So much chemistry and such fun dances she created for him. One of the best partnerships I have seen in the show in a long time.
2. Donald : Not as much chemistry as with James but still a great partnership.
3. Sean : For a guy who was on The Bachelor, I gotta say I think Sean was always humble, funny and genuine. He wasn’t a great dancer but he looked like he tried very hard out there. And I agree, his bromance with Tristan was AWESOME.
4. Brant : I honestly just never warmed up to him. I think he was pretty good and he had a couple of good dances but their particular “showmance” was annoying… I didn’t even feel chemistry between those two.
5. Gilles : He was good but the only good dances I remember them doing were the Arg Tango/Samba Fusion and their Week 1 Foxtrot… All the others made me cringe. Especially that HORRIBLE ChaChaCha that scarred me for life.
6. Meta (Ron Artest) World Peace : I forgot this was her first partner… I now remember how he sucked soo bad though. I wonder if they’ll ever cast some NBA players again…
1. James
2. Donald
3. Brant
4. Gilles
5. Sean
6. Meta
Donald
Brant — in the minority here but I really loved Brant because of how invested he was in the show, he seemed to genuinely love being there and that was fun to watch
James
Sean/Gilles — Sean cracked me up, Gilles was clearly a superior dancer
Ron
Ranking dance ability and likability sounds about right when it comes to Peta’s partners. They are definitely different
Dance Ability
1) Gilles Marini
2) Donald Driver
3) James Maslow (by a hair)
4) Brant Daughtry
5) Sean Lowe
6) Ron Artest – I refuse to call him Meta. lol
Likability
1) Donald Driver
2) Sean Lowe
3) For me – Brant and James’s personality and dance ability seemed way too similar. They’re both pretty faces with stale personalities. So I am keeping them at the same ranking because they’re like a big male blob for me.
4) Ron Artest
5) Gilles Marini
Peta has grown on me…. after the allstar season, I really enjoyed her personality and her outlook on the show. I just don’t want to see another “Gasolina” samba ever again. And I totally ship her with Karina. lol. Just kidding. (I guess).
Yeah, I’m not sure why I didn’t like Sean… he just kinda rubbed me up the wrong way.
1. Donald Driver – He was great both dancing and personality-wise, and I like that he readily admitted he had been a fan of the show from the beginning!
2. James Maslow – Great partnership with Peta, and he seems like such a nice guy. He could dance too!
3. Brant Daugherty – I liked him, and thought he was a pretty good dancer.
4. Sean Lowe – I thought he was an awkward mover, but he tried. I remember the bromance with Tristan, it was hilarious!
5. Gilles Marini – I seem to remember his dances for the wrong reasons, like the Bollywood which I thought was ridiculous, and that Gangnam Style team dance. Before the All Star season started, I thought it was a great idea for him to come back…but after that I found him annoying.
6. Metta World Peace – I felt that he was weird, and his dancing was bad.
1. James Maslow- Really enjoyed their season. Even though he seemed to have points of struggle I think he did an excellent job and is a stand up guy.
2. Brant Daugherty- Started really liking him from the get go and thought he had huge potential, but was irritated because I felt the focus was on his looks and the showmance. But part of the way through, the focus was on his dancing again and he really gave it his all and improved. Loved watching him.
3. Donald Driver- I feel odd because everyone seemed to adore Donald the most. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved Donald and I’m glad he won…but I always kinda forget about him. Really fun guy, great guy, very good dancer…but I guess I couldn’t connect to him.
4. Sean Lowe- Sean wasn’t that great of a dancer, but he did give it a really good go and had a good sense of humor. Some gave the guy a lot of flack, but I honestly would take him anytime over a lot of other celebs we’ve had on the show. Nice guy and gave it his best shot.
5. Gilles Marini- Just…bleh. Still left flabbergasted that the Gilles that was so likable and good in season 8 turned into…well ya know.
6. Metta World Peace- If Gilles was “bleh” this guy is “BLEEECH.” That is all.
1. James Maslow
2. Brant Daugherty
3. Donald Driver
4. Sean Lowe
5. Gilles Marini
6. Metta World Peace
1. Brant Daugherty – good dancer, came across as just a really nice guy, and thankfully didn’t seem at all into pushing a fake show-mance
2. James Maslow – like Brant, a really nice presence on the show. Better dancer, but I was over the show-mance pretty early on. Bonus point for one of the best reaction shots ever, his weak smile in the Celebri-quarium after Abby Lee Miller was drooling over him.
3. Donald Driver – loved his Freestyle, but didn’t like most of what he did during the rest of the season, probably because he brought out Peta’s most flaily style of dancing
4. Sean Lowe – fun guy, funny stuff with Tristan, really enjoyed his Lifeguard Jive
5. Gilles Marini – I think Gilles must have had some idea in his head of what the All Stars Season was about, and what his role in it should be; and boy, was it ever not what I wanted to see.
6. Metta World Peace – One and done, and thank Tina Sparkle for that.
