Olympic Equestrian Rider And Coach Jane Savoie Wants To Dance On Dancing With The Stars
Normally, we don’t really post a lot on celebrity campaigns, but, this lady sounds different and kind of interesting. According to the Equestrian Chronicle, Olympic equestrian rider and coach Jane Savoie wants to dance on Dancing With The Stars. Be sure to read how she came up with the idea to dance and why at Equestrian Chronicle. Below is a take for her message….
Savoie said she thinks it’s important for people to see that just because they’ve received their Medicare cards doesn’t mean that there’s not room for plenty more adventure in their lives, especially adventures as physically demanding as dancing.
She said that ballroom dancing isn’t all glittery sequins.
“There are hours and hours of sweaty practice behind the scenes,” she said.
“I started at 63. I’m 65 now,” she said. ”I think it’s encouraging for people that are in my age group who maybe have stopped dreaming to realize that there’s no expiration date on having a dream and going for it and staying fit and staying vibrant. I personally think it’s very encouraging when I see middle-aged and senior athletes just doing their things.”
Now that Savoie has sweated, practiced and competed, it’s time to impress the producers of “Dancing With the Stars.”
“They need to know that there is enough of a fan base within the horse industry because they’re not going to put someone on the show who doesn’t have a good following,” Savoie said. “I need people to like my Jane Savoie Dancing With the Stars Facebook page and share it with everyone.”
So, what do you think? Jane Savoie to dance? I say yes!!
This could be cool.
Never heard of her. I think there are plenty of people in the entertainment business with a bigger following at her age.
I’ve never heard of her before but there are always contestants I haven’t heard of or know very little about. I like her kind of contestant, active, happy, coachable, looking to grow and learn new things. I’d be fine with her.
She seems like a good candidate for DWTS Season 19. She’s active, A dressage trainer, seems like a happy and positive person, and looks like she is in good shape for her age. I also would be fine if she was on the cast list this fall.
I agree with you, KKat!
Instead of some whiny, negative Nellie, reality diva, I’m all in favor of a fit, intelligent, positive, mature Olympian who understands hard work and commitment and who wants to spread the message of staying healthy and active both mentally and physically no matter how many candles are on your birthday cake.
Some of my favorite contestants are those I’ve never heard of before: Kyle, Ty, season 8 Gilles, and I even really liked Diana from this past season and I wish she would have had more chance to compete. So I’m all for it.
Sorry Kenya, take your campaigning elsewhere.
I would like to see good candidates that have done remarkable goals (sports*olympians*NFL players, acting, singing, artist, writers, broadcasting, diet & fitness promoters who can physically back-up what they promote.
Like you posters above, I too have liked some celebrates that I never heard of or knew about such as: Katherine Jenkins, but I soon was so affected by her singing, beauty, personality and graceful attitude. I always wondered what Derek could have done with her since she wasn’t a “ringer” but was in great shape, had a great figure, and seemed to have a natural feel for dance.
QUESTION: Does anyone know or have any idea if DWTS has a cast list confirmed for the next season as soon as one season ends, or do they take the time between seasons to round up the candidates???

I’m confused??? Who is Kenya?
Kkat, it was a person campaigning instead of replying to the post. So their post was deleted.
Oh..Okay….now that you explained everything’s cool. I forget that we have you great people monitoring and you all do such a GREAT job! Thanks.
I actually really hope they get her on the show now. My friend (thats a major super fan of the show…..I told him about the site so you might see him around in the comments hopefully soon) was saying that he wanted to see more sports on the show. I told him about this possible contestant and he got pretty excited.
She seems great. Let’s have her instead of the “contentious reality star” category this time.
