Go Inside Sadie Robertson And Mark Ballas’ DWTS19 Week 2 Rehearsals
Access Hollywood went into Sadie Robertson And Mark Ballas’ rehearsals for week 2. Both are feeling good going into week 2 of Dancing With The Stars. Mark says they are working on isolation in her moves and “detail”. Note how they are planning a “Quack attack” move for their new dance. Here is more…
Awww. These two really seem to be having a blast. She seems very level headed for a 17 year old. I really love that are seeing the “good” Mark.
Sadie is too adorable. Mark is doing really well with her so far. I agree that we are seeing the “good” Mark.
I can’t get enough of these two. They are just so darn adorable! It’s like such a cute big brother & little sister relationship. Very excited to see their Jazz. I think they’ll kill it.
And on Mark’s defense, I think we have seen the “good Mark” for the last two seasons. Hopefully he stays like this for more seasons to come.
Ps, I would really like one of those Quack Pack shirts. Hehehe
I agree CC, they have a cute relationship and Mark has shown us that he can take “constructive” criticism and put it to good use; because not everyone can handle it the way he has, and he is making me proud of him. Sadie is comfortable with her partner and she is on a great journey. So excited to see her blossom out on the dance floor.
Cute cute cute, in a good way, not saccharine sweet. Love this pair.
@CC oh I agree about Mark. I really enjoyed him last season, just meant that I am so happy that he is continuing in that vein.
and I hope that the judges don’t give Sadie any reason to cry this season.
Sadie’s adorable and a super young lady. Not really a fan of Mark, but he’s been pretty cool the last few seasons.
I agree about Mark. I started liking him more in Season 17. The way he danced in Derek and Amber’s freestyle really sold me. Furthermore, that is my most favorite freestyle ever.
I loved Mark with Shawn. To ease her into the rumba, he created a “Prom” for her, which was so so sweet. He really guided her through the whole process to the win. I can still see the utter shock on their faces when they are announced as the winners. His participation in Derek’s dances has always been stellar — the paso-tango fusion, tribal samba — and I agree about his dancing in Amber’s freestyle. I really enjoy watching him in that, including how he finally leaves the dance floor applauding like mad.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Mark – even when he’s not at his top game, I still think he’s one of the more consistently great pros on the show and although he doesn’t gel immensely with every partner, he does do well with a lot of them and I think it’s no coincidence that he’s been with three conservative women and trying to help them grow more comfortable with their sassy side. I think he’s good at making them feel safe – and their families feel welcome – than many of the pros would be. I think that’s a good niche for him.
Count me in too! I don’t really have an issue with Mark any longer.
What is a “quack attack” move?
Sadie seems sweet as can be. My only problem with her is that I have quite a bit of trouble understanding her when she speaks.
Love Mark with Sadie! They are cute, cute, cute!!! He’ll be a great mentor and I am confident that he will choreograph perfect routines for her. She looks like she feels safe with him and that he respects her religious constraints. I love this team and am really looking forward to watching their journey!
Love this interview. Even though she’s just a tad tall for Mark, in all other respects, he’s the right partner for her (and I’m glad TPTB went with that). I’m delighted he made a point of saying very clearly that the couples design their costumes and that they are going with fa un, age appropriate sassy style. Of course, it won’t get out to the wider audience, but the Duck fans will see it, and hopefully they’ll be reassured. The judges were a bit generous with their scores for this couple on Premiere night. Sadie seems like such a sweet girl. So I hope Mark will take time to prepare Sadie for the possibility that not all her dances will get 8s and 9s.
I enjoyed this interview. Loved the expression on Mark’s face when he said, “She’s a super fan.” Because of that I think Sadie knows the scores can go up and down on a judges’ whim. It’s nice to see a ‘celeb’ also being a super fan and being able to participate in the DWTS experience. The whole Quack Attack and Quack Pack is a marketing gem.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Mark this jazzed and gelled with a partner and with good reason.
The two of them are seriously cute together. If Derek wasn’t in the competition I’d totally be voting for them. Especially after the grape lemonade. 🙂
They are my favorite couple this season. So glad to see Mark like this after his great season with Candace.
