PureDWTS 19 Poem For Week 7: “A Bat-Witching Ballroom Brew”

Let’s give an applause to Lois! Below is another one of her fun poems for Dancing With The Stars. She’s included a message too…

Before I begin my poem for Week 7, I want to give a huge round of applause to the entire production of this show! Those who did the make-up, costumes, the intricate set designs. They did a stupendous job of getting everything ready for the show! I am in awe of how they can switch out sets and everything in the course of a commercial! Bravo to everyone who brings us this very special show called DANCING WITH THE STARS! They created a HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR!!!!!! Also special applause for The Troupe and their fellow pros who enhanced the pairs’ dances again this week! They can do anything and do it with astounding talent!

My Poem for Week 7

A BAT-WITCH-ING BALLROOM BREW!

The brew was being concocted, the ballroom dressed up for Halloween
The haunted opening was a Black and White Ball, A Bat-Witch-ing scene

A BAT-WITCH-ING BALLROOM BREW stirred up in a cauldron of dance
The pros, the pairs greeted Len, joining the judges for a second chance

There were many tricks and treats being brewed for our viewing pleasure
A spine-chilling masquerade, a spooky, ghostly, Halloween-boo treasure

Julianne Hough Photo Diary For DWTS Season 19 Week 7

What did you think of Julianne Hough’s dress last night on Dancing With The Stars? I loved it. You can read how Julianne and her glam squad put her look all together at People. Here is just a little take. You know where to go for more.

“We loved this Alberta Ferreti dress and have been waiting for the perfect moment to wear it; the Halloween theme meant that we needed something a little richer and I didn’t want to go down the obvious black route,” Hough tells PEOPLE. “[Stylist] Anita [Patrickson] and I were inspired the fabulous Poison Ivy character but we had to rein it in a little so as not to get too literal. The leaves Riawna [Capri, her hairstylist] added to my hair were minimal enough to feel clean, chic and fashion-y, but outside the box enough to add a little character to my look.”

Says Patrickson of pulling together Hough’s Halloween look, “The biggest challenge was keeping her look fashion forward and not too costume-y. It all came together last minute, actually, with Julianne’s genius suggestion of adding something cool into her hair. Within 5 minutes we had dragged out my secret box of tricks full of flowers and leaves and ‘Poison Ivy ` la Hough’ was born. The result was a super sexy, very elegant and glamorous ensemble.”

PureDWTS Season 19, Week 7 – Power Rankings

Three cheers for an opening pro dance that I actually enjoyed! Thought it was cute how they worked in a Halloween theme.  At the very least, it wasn’t a bunch of  female bumping & grinding & hair-flipping…or Pitbull. 😯

So Len was back, and as I kind of predicted – he was grumpy, and Julianne kind of reverted back to being the level-headed judge.  Carrie Ann is still the airheaded judge; I can’t even really remember anything Bruno said.  Overall, I don’t feel as though the quality of judging improved much with Len’s return – so I’m fine if he doesn’t want to come back next season.  Hell, I don’t really care if ANY of the judges come back next season 😉

Kinda had an inkling that Antonio was toast the minute the judges started laying into him for a dance that really wasn’t that bad, in my opinion – it was probably Antonio’s best, and though he’s still kind of an awkward mover, he seemed to smooth things out quite a bit better this week.  But I’m guessing that he just wasn’t connecting with viewers – I felt like we never really got to see the real Antonio.  Wish he would have given us more of a peek into his work or family life.

1.) Bethany & Derek – Bethany was given great scores and great choreography this week, but here’s the odd part for me: in both her individual and team dance, there seemed to be moments where she just wasn’t…fully present.  It’s hard to describe, but it’s like she went into autopilot both times – not sure if she’s just really tired or burnt out, but she just didn’t seem as invested as she was in her tango last week.  Thought the concept and setting of her paso was great, and Derek gave her some great choreo in their team dance – but she just didn’t grab the bull by the horns like she normally does.  She wasn’t bad by any means – she was just not as dazzling for me as she usually is.  Maybe it was just this week and having to learn two dances – hopefully she’ll be back to 100% next week.  But she can leave the Maleficient/Queen Amidala hair – wasn’t loving that. PureDWTS19 Week 7 Media And Interviews After Dance Night, Dance Info Revealed For Next Week

What an unforgettable night last night! So many great dances and lots to cover! Let’s see what the couples had to say about it in some new interviews below. First, don’t miss heading to ABC7 and the Daily Mail for some amazing photos. Glamour has some backstage fun as well.

Ok, onto the interviews. Note that it’s “Dynaminc Duo” week for Week 8 and the couples also have THREE dances….

-Derek and Bethany will be “Ricky and Lucy” if they can get everything cleared (lots more with them at Pure Derek Hough).

-Lea and Artem have “Bonnie and Clyde” and they mention they will dance to Carrie Underwood’s “Something Bad is About To Happen”. Artem also explains on how the THREE dances will take place next week (be sure to listen carefully to the ABC7 interview).

-Peta and Tommy have “Johnny Cash and June Carter” and they are doing a Paso Doble to “Ring Of Fire”.

-Mark and Sadie wouldn’t say who they are as a “couple”, but, they have a contemporary dance and it will be “beautiful”. Sadie hints that it’s something “she would do”. Mark says it has something to do with “the beginning of time” (wha? Hmm…maybe “Adam and Eve” like some have guessed in comments?).

-Val and Janel are going to be “Romeo and Juliet” and they are dancing to “Everybody’s Free” from the Baz Luhrmann’s “Romeo and Juliet”.

-Alfonso and Witney have “Batman and Robin” and they have a Cha Cha Cha.

-Michael and Emma have a Foxtrot, but, they can’t reveal anything else yet since it’s not cleared. Emma is extremely excited on it if she gets her way with it.

Special thanks to JC Rubio, Allison Holker, George Pennacchio, and Shaun Robinson for doing such an excellent job with these interviews and feeling and getting to the heart of the matter. Be sure to tweet them at twitter and send them some love. Lot’s of great content to take in…
