DWTS Season 19 Week 8!! Let’s discuss tonight’s show! (Spoilers)

Is it really week 8?? Dang, where has the season gone…

Once again, comment to your hearts contents, as long as you remember the show night rules.

  1. Our server gets totally hosed when people sit at their computer and click “refresh” constantly. Post a comment, then walk away for five minutes so that others have a chance…and so that Courtney and I can actually post on the site. 🙂
  2. THIS SITE IS NOT TWITTER. Do not post like you are on twitter. You get one warning and then I put you in time out. 🙂 We need context and content. Believe it or not there are a lot of people who don’t watch the east coast feed of the show, so they don’t know what the hell you’re talking about when you post a comment that says, “Boy, that sucked.”  If you want to say “____ and ____’s dance was not good at all, crappy choreo” that’s fine. That would be context. It is good. 😀  Remember, if you post five one liners in five minutes, you’ve broken rule number 1. 😉

Another reason to hate immunity – no opening number. BOOOOO!!

All Access says Beth and Derek are dancing last.

Am I the only one that found Lea to be a bit weak?? I sure do wish…well, never mind. Agree with Len – she’s way too safe.

Interesting hints on All Access – sounds like Alfonso could go either way. Disaster or a 40.

Ahhh….poor Emma and Mike. Emma’s got to be great at back leading. And she looks amazing tonight.

Good dance by Val and Janel – but then it should be, shouldn’t it? I saw a couple little bobbles, but she’ll get a perfect score anyway.

Don’t get too excited – If Beth or Alfonso get a perfect score (and according to Lacey either one could), they beat out Janel by cumulative score. Don’t think anyone else has a shot.

Tommy? Sorry, kinda missed that one, but the judges seem to love him.

Mark and Sadie – poor Mark. Can’t say I blame him. But he did say that Derek was the one who was in touch with the meaning of life and how to live it – and I hope he can learn from him just a little. He shouldn’t give the judges the satisfaction of knowing their bullshit got to him.

As for tonight’s dance – loved it! Way, WAY better than Janel’s contemporary, although she’ll get hosed on the scores. CAI already nitpicking – where was she when Janel was dancing??

Not that it matters, but Sadie should have gotten a perfect score if Janel earned one. But I think Janel beats Sadie in cumulative points anyway.

Wow!! Loved Alfonso’s dance!! Very fun.

And this is why having contemporary up against Salsa’s and Cha Cha’s on a night where immunity is in play is a crock of shit. Bethany’s dance was so far superior to Janel’s in difficulty and naturalness of performance it’s not even funny. Required steps and movements versus do what ever the hell you want – faux cry for a perfect score.

Well, at least we don’t get to hear sanctimonious Val. If my memory is correct, Alfonso picks first, Sadie second.

Alfonso picks Lea and Lea picks Jive – Alfonso just KILLED it. Lea’s not doing to badly either.

Guessing Sadie picks Beth and Beth picks rumba.

I can understand Artem’s strategy. Kinda glad that Derek and Beth don’t have to pick (most likely).

What kinda crack is Carrie Ann on?

Alfonso wins. Sadie picks Beth as predicted. Derek, in a surprise, picks a dance they haven’t done before. What kinda crack is HE on? 😀

Hmmm…that was the clash of the titans. I agree with that. But I think I would have given it to Sadie. It shouldn’t matter, regardless, as I don’t think either of them are at risk next week.

So, it’s added to *tonight’s* score?? How does that help them for tonight? It helps them for next week, so it wipes out Janel’s lead. So…how is this fair? Shouldn’t it have been added to last weeks score to help them tonight??

Okay, so I heard Emma say that Janel/Val have 43 points – so they were given the three points. Interesting how that has NEVER happened in previous seasons with immunity dances.

The twitter vote is interesting. Sadie/Beth were almost tied 48/52. Alfonso KILLED Lea with 85%. And Tommy killed Michael with 72 percent. If that’s reflective of the voting (which it probably isn’t), – interesting.

They were called safe in the order this show may end:
Alfonso
Bethany
Sadie
Lea

Tommy and Michael were the last two standing.

Michael was eliminated. Will miss Emma very much.

How did we do?

Courtney: Michael will go

Heidi: Michael will go

Vogue: Michael will go

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

See Sneak Peek Of Sadie Robertson’s New DWTS Costume, Song Reveal

Well, I have to say Sadie Robertson’s costumes have been off the hook this season and it’s no different this week. To see a sneak peak, see E Online. Also note that Sadie and Mark will be dancing to “Uninvited” by Alanis Morrisette!

And Sadie is certainly dressing the part, as we’ve got your exclusive first look at the 17-year-old’s costume. In the sketch above, you can see Sadie is daring to “bare”—wearing a nude bodysuit with green leaves all over it, while the skirt will entirely be made with leaves. Taking the Eve-theme to the next level, there will be vine details on her leg and arm and she will be dancing barefoot!

“This is perfect,” Sadie exclusively tells E! News of her latest DWTS look. “I’ve had feathers and beads. Now leaves!”

For Dynamic Duos week on the ABC reality hit, Sadie and Mark will be dancing contemporary to “Uninvited” by Alanis Morrisette…

ETA: From AOL via Splash News, here’s a fun little video to take in before tonight….

DWTS Janel Parrish Writes Of Her New Dances With Val Chmerkovskiy And More

Janel Parrish has written a new blog at People. She writes of how bummed she was when she and Val got negative criticism from the judges last week. She also writes of their new dances this week….

It feels like we’ve been getting a mixed bag of comments from the judges recently. It’s totally fine and everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but the thing that bummed us out the most was the comment about it not being a true Viennese waltz. It was a Halloween special – so obviously we did have a little bit of the Halloween feel to add to the entertainment part of the dance – but I felt like Val did an amazing job of creating amazing Viennese waltz choreography to add to the story. I was a little bit bummed for him that we got that comment.

It was challenging enough having to learn two dances last week, but this week we’ve had to learn four dances! Three of the dances are for the dance-off, so we all have to learn the cha-cha, the rumba and a jive, and then the style is picked for us when we get to the show on Monday night. We’ve been preparing and polishing three dances not knowing which one is going to be chosen, and then the fourth dance is our competition piece. It feels like there’s never any time for one dance, let alone four, but we’ll get it.

This week we’re doing a contemporary dance for our competition piece. I feel a lot more comfortable in contemporary because I don’t have to work on my frame, which is my biggest weakness, but Val isn’t a contemporary dancer so he’s been stressing about the choreography. However, I think the choreography he’s created is beautiful.

It’s dynamic duo week and we’re playing Romeo and Juliet, so it’s going to be beautiful and romantic. I’m very excited. The song is “Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good),” and it’s a song from the movie adaptation Romeo + Juliet.

More at People.
