Chris Soules Has Been Meeting With Producers Of DWTS Over The Past Two Weeks
US Magazine reports Chris Soules is dancing on Dancing With The Stars Season 20. Furthermore, he’s been meeting with producers over the last few weeks. Read on for more.
After Chris Soules gives out his final rose on The Bachelor finale, he’ll partner up with a different woman as the 12th contestant on season 20 of Dancing With the Stars, Us Weekly has confirmed.
When the celebs competing on the 20th edition of the ABC dance competition were announced on Good Morning America Feb. 24, one name was missing — the star partnered up with dance pro Witney Carson.
DWTS host Tom Bergeron said at the time, “Her partner couldn’t rose — I mean rise so early to be here,” and now Us can confirm that his misspeak wasn’t just a slip of the tongue.
A source told Us Weekly that Soules has been meeting with DWTS producers over the past few weeks to understand what, exactly, his run on the show will entail. He even called fellow Bachelor Sean Lowe — a Dancing With the Stars alum — for advice.
“He seems like he’s not totally sure what he’s getting himself into! It will be fascinating to see how well he does,” the source said.
Soules’ partner, reigning champion Carson, who took home the Mirrorball trophy with Alfonso Ribeiro in season 19.

Ugh! With apologies to Witney fans, please let him be eliminated quickly.
Huh? What exactly does he *think* his run on the show will entail? In a nutshell Chris: You’re gonna have to dance…a lot.
Of course, this is really Hollywood speak for haggling over how much they’ll pay him and how much exposure he’ll get in return, plus what brand of over-priced bottled water and what-not he wants stocked in his trailer.
Sadly I agree with you Cidra. I love Witney but I will not be supporting Chris in any way this season.
Personally I’ve never liked The Bachelor. Women shouldn’t have to compete and jump through hoops in order to impress some guy who gets to sample the charms of all the females in his harem. Eww.
These same women also should get some self respect. I do understand that it’s supposed to be just a harmless way to pass an hour on TV, but I’d rather watch The Amazing Race.
So, long story short, no, no mas, nyet to Chris Coules on DWTS!
I just wrote his last name wrong. That’s how much I give a crap about him!
Not to defend Chris – cuz I’m really not – but I would NEVER assume that anything US reports is accurate. There are just hundreds of examples of where they’re NOT. They’re only a tiny step up from National Enquirer.
Well said, Susan2!! Couldn’t agree more about The Bachelor/Bachelorette.
Without getting into any details, I’ll just say this: non-Bachelor fans, fear not – I doubt Chris is going to be much of a threat this season. Likely out before the midpoint of the season, so you probably won’t have to watch him for more than 5 weeks, TOPS.
I haven’t seen Chris on The Bachelor but from what I have read he’s not going to be a very big hit. I hate this, because Witney is my favorite pro and I hope she can go far this season. Maybe, he will surprise us all and Witney can train him to be a dancer.
I think Chris just had no clue about DWTS. He’s a farmer from Iowa and so he’s probably never seen an episode. I think he’ll actually be pretty cool and laid back with Whitney and be fun to watch. I always question if the Bachelor person is a star, but that’s an ABC issue. I agree with Courtney though that he’ll probably be voted out early. Starting late will mean he won’t dance very well.
The only good thing about Chris is Whitney is a fan of the Bachelor 🙂 She tweeted couple times.
Court, Thanks. I’m glad to know you think Chris’s tenure on the show will be relatively brief. Unfortunately, since so many DWTS viewers are women, I guess there’s no hope they’ll opt to keep Charlotte instead of the Iowa farmboy.
