I am opening my stage show, which I will do for the next year, and what better way to get in shape than to rehearse for 20 hours a week with Tony, a world champion dancer? I had hoped my partner would be Tony, and it happened – the power of positive thinking.
I have never had a dance lesson in my life. Then again, I never had a comedy class before I did Three’s Company. So far, it’s only been one week, and I am already feeling my body responding and getting stronger.
We rehearse four solid hours a day. What have rehearsals been like? Day one … lots of blisters. Day two … lots of bandages. Day three … major breakthrough – we were dancing!
I am not worried about injury. I do an hour of yoga before I rehearse so I am all stretched out and limber and ready to dance. Besides, worry is a prayer you don’t want.
