Dancing with the Stars Season 20, Week TWO – Let’s Discuss Tonight’s Show!! (Spoilers)

So, who will go home? Who will be in jeopardy? Will there be a real bottom two?? These questions and more, answered tonight on DWTS. 🙂

More importantly, who will get the judges’ scorn and who will get pimped to high heaven?? Do we even need to ask these questions or is it a foregone conclusion? 😉

Not a great dance from Chris, but not horrendous – thing I like about Chris is that he GOES for it. He really, really tries and he wants to do it.

At least I can handle the Tony and Suzanne wardrobe this week…vastly improved routine too, although I doubt any other celebs or pros will get away with that amount of fluff in the beginning and in the end.

I love Robert and Kym, that is all. 🙂

LOL to Patti and Artem walking with Michael and Chris in Shades acting as body guards.

Aw, Charlotte, I love ya girl. And much better than last week. Amen to Julianne!

I liked Michael, but I liked his dance better last week.

“People are scared of us??” Well, Rumer, maybe you should be a bit scared. And humble. So, Len wants nmore recognizable Cha Cha but gives then an 8. This sounds familiar.

Vast improvement from Redfoo, but I don’t think I care for him at all. One point below Rumer?? Maybe he’s going home….

LOL…Mark is the perfect partner for Willow. And the 14 year old just did a pretty damn good AT.

Sharna is so beautiful. The hair/eye combo is amazing….and refreshing on this show.

I think Noah’s dance was also an improvement from last week!! But let’s not get carried away, Julianne.

Okay I’m crying. Wanna bet Nastia is next. They would put her after that.

Beautiful Rumba…beautiful. LOL Tom trying to skip CAI’s drama.

Who’s scared now, Rumer?? Watch your back for Willow and Nastia, hon.

Damn, Riker – well done. I’m impressed. Another contender.

OMG….I love Patti Labelle. The woman is COOL….

WhoooHOoooo Charlotte is safe!!

Chris and Witney are safe.

Redfoo is eliminated…it was NOT a real bottom two. Tryin’ to boost Suzanne’s votes a bit maybe….

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

Kym Johnson And Robert Herjavec Dancing With The Stars Week 2 Rehearsal Interview

E Online went into Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec’s rehearsals for Dancing With The Stars. They show a little of them dancing. They also ask them on the dating rumors. Kym says they are too busy dancing (I believe it. I don’t think he’s her type?)

DWTS20 Willow Shields Blogs About The Argentine Tango, Last Week’s Dance, And Mark Ballas

WillowShields

Willow Shields almost ‘blanked out’ on Dancing With The Stars last week. She writes all about it in her new blog at Access Hollywood. She also writes about her and Mark’s Argentine Tango coming up tonight as well. Check out how she told Mark, “No more goofin’ around…” LOL! I love this girl!

As Mark and I were walking to our starting position I walked right past actor Jeff Goldblum sitting in the audience (yes, I still fangirl over things), I almost BLANKED OUT, forgot why I was on the ballroom dance floor, instead I wanted to yell to my brother and sister in the audience, “Hey guys look! ‘Jurassic Park!’ ‘Jurassic Park!'”. Then I told myself to focus, you must focus! I don’t think 15 million people are tuning in to hear why some of my fondest childhood memories revolve around Steven Spielberg movies!

As Mark and I waited for the music to start, I thought to myself about the dress rehearsal a couple hours before. The TV show placed stand-in judges so the cameras could plan their shots and stuff. We nailed the dress rehearsal and the stand-in judges (who I think were camera operators and grips) really loved it! Yeah I know they’re just stand-ins but hopefully we get the same response.

Done. I thought we did awesome! It wasn’t perfect but we did what we had planned on doing and Mark felt really good about it too! The judges had some great things to say and I was so happy for this, but the scores were lower than I had hoped. Darn. It does show I still have a lot of work to do! I did manage to bite my lip and not argue with the judges that the stand-in judges gave us better scores, I don’t think Len Goodman would have appreciated it!

Back to work. The next morning I really had to move on, there’s really no time to worry about my scores, I’ve got another dance to learn, the Argentine Tango. I absolutely LOVE this dance, but I’ve never done it myself. It’s so beautiful and intense, but can Mark and I pull this off? Well I know Mark can but can I? I’m pretty hard on myself and my low scores made me feel like I needed to work even harder. As we started to train for the tango I joked with Mark, “No more goofing around this week Mark, we’ve got work to do!” We HAVE worked hard the past few days, but I do admit, we still goofed around a lot.

More at Access Hollywood. Pic above courtesy of Willow’s twitter …tweeted out just an hour ago.

Patti Labelle Says Nothing Will Stop Her From Dancing Despite Knee Injury

Awww, let’s hope Patti Labelle is going to be able to dance tonight. Apparently, she has a “serious” knee injury according to E Online. Though she loves her song and says “nothing will stop Patti, but Patti”. She looks great in the second video. LOL to her shaking Artem…. Read more..

DWTS Season 20 Week 2 Las Vegas Odds: Odds Makers Not Buying Pimp Job

The odds makers have placed their bets for week 2 of Dancing With The Stars Season 20 at Sports Bovada. Isn’t it interesting that Rumer and Val aren’t at the top? Even after all the pimping of them from the judges this past week and the media drinking the Kool Aid, the odds makers didn’t buy it. Ha!! Though if I was them, I would switch Rumer and Ryker. I’m shocked they have Willow so low. I’d put her more towards the top. Same with Redfoo. Take a look below and let us know what you think in comments. Read on to see what Miss Heidi and Court think too….

Nastia Liukin 6/5
Rumer Willis 5/1
Riker Lynch 6/1
Noah Galloway 7/1
Michael Sam 15/2
Robert Herjavec 10/1
Chris Soules 20/1
Patti LaBelle 20/1
Redfoo 33/1
Suzanne Somers 33/1
Willow Shields 33/1
Charlotte McKinney 50/1

Last week’s odds:

Nastia Liukin 2/1
Noah Galloway 4/1
Riker Lynch 7/1
Michael Sam 9/1
Charlotte McKinney 10/1
Patti LaBelle 12/1
Redfoo 12/1
Suzanne Somers 12/1
Willow Shields 12/1
Rumer Willis 16/1
Robert Herjavec 20/1

Heidi: Well, Rumer moved up, but only to 5/1 – and after all that pimpage she got! Going last, having the judges drool and proclaim her the winner…seems we weren’t the only ones who don’t buy it just yet. 🙂 Interesting that they have Nastia at 6/5 – I am still not convinced that she can win. Derek, after 5 wins, could choreograph 12 Emmy winning routines and still not win, plus they are pretty severely handicapped by being in NYC. Poor Nastia – Derek is a bit of an anchor with his track record and an audience who seems to think Pee-wee-baseball-everyone-gets-a-trophy is an acceptable way to hold a competition. Anyway, I think Michael is probably too low – and that Willow needs to be up with Robert. As for Noah, as much as I like him, I’m not so sure he’s going to finish as high as 4th place. It’s hard to say – Amy covered the inspiring territory, so do people expect him to dance as well as Amy? Are they inured to the injured? Is it different because he’s a veteran? Or did people even forget Amy was a double amputee because she was paired with Derek and did so well? What the general audience thinks is what will dictate how well he finishes. I don’t mean to sound callous…but people ARE callous as we saw with Amy. Of course, Amy threatened the precciousssssss….

Courtney: First off, an apology – these odds are late because of moi, as I was out-of-town this weekend and haven’t had a chance to even look at these until right meow. I guess my overall feeling about them, like my power rankings last week, is “Hmmm.” I find it interesting that the oddsmakers didn’t seem to buy into the OTT praise heaped onto Rumer, and the obvious “this could be your season!” subliminal messaging thrown at Val.  As I told Heidi & Vogue – I think the oddsmakers’ BS detectors have gotten quite a bit better-calibrated over the seasons, and they probably recognize by now that that pimping doesn’t always work (hello, Vajanel). But they DID seem to buy into the nonsense the judges threw Michael about his feet – honestly, I think his performance was the most underrated of last week’s dances, and he got an incongruous amount of nitpicking from the judges.  That’s what puzzles me the most, because I actually think Michael could be the biggest threat to the big 3 (Rumer, Riker, & Nastia) at the moment.  I also think they aren’t quite sure what to make of Noah just yet – demographically-speaking, he should be a big draw; but ability-wise, he’s no Amy right off the bat.  I think we’ll see them get a bit more decisive with his odds over the next few weeks, as we see what he’s actually capable of.
