DancingProsLiveKarinaEdyta 004

Hey, just an reminder! “Dancing Pros Live” only has 5 shows left. If you live or are travelling to the east coast in April, try and see the show as Drew Lachey, Karina Smirnoff, Edyta Sliwinska, and Chelsie Hightower are dancing as well as dance champions from all over the world. It’s a MUST SEE! You can read my personal review and experience of the show and go backstage with Edyta Sliwinska and Karina Smirnoff at this link. I had such a blast. If interested in tickets and scheduling information, see the official site of “Dancing Pros Live”.

Also, we updated the schedule for Ballroom With A Twist. Their Spring and Summer Schedule is starting to take shape. To read more about it, see this post.

Sharna Burgess Writes On DWTS20 Week 2 And Her New Dance Coming Up With Noah Galloway

Sharna Burgess has written a new blog at Closer Weekly. She talks of the challenges putting her and Noah’s Samba together last week and her most special moment when Noah’s girlfriend surprised him on the show. She also teases on their new dance coming up for week 3 of dancing With The Stars. Be sure to see the link for more including some fun photos.

Of all the incredible moments last night, I have to say the one that got me the most was when Noah’s beautiful girlfriend, Jamie Boyd, ran up and surprised him! I had absolutely no idea and this is honestly one of the most gorgeous moments I have seen on ‘DWTS’ yet. I ended up backing away to let them have their moment and their own space. What a precious memory to have. Aren’t they the most awesome couple ever?!

Next week it’s Argentine Tango! Guess what that means… lifts! Yay! I’m already excited about what is developing creatively and I feel like seeing Noah in this character will be an awesome change from the last two weeks. We are using a prosthetic arm for this one, which will mean a lot of trial and error and seeing what can work!

Love you all and I know you are going to be so proud of Noah, just like I am.

Judge Julianne Hough’s DWTS Season 20 Week 2 Style Post, New Blog, And Cyber Bullying

This was originally meant to be simply a weekly post for Julianne’s style for week 2 of Dancing With The Stars, along with some info on her new blog, then things happened. So, we’ll start with the easy stuff, and go from there.

I thought Julianne looked GORGEOUS this week! I think everything came together perfectly– the right dress, the right hair, the right make up, the right shoes, the right accessories! But it’s more than that, she looks happy, and more and more for the last year or so, she glows! Even when I don’t agree with some of her fashion choices, she’s had this happy glow. She’s in a great relationship with a good man, and it definitely agrees with her. ANYWAY! Here’s People’s Style post.

And don’t forget, Julianne is the April 2015 cover girl for Allure Magazine, and they’ve got some stuff online. Some of this you may have seen from one of Vogue’s earlier posts, but you can go through her style evolution here, some gorgeous photos from her cover shoot here, video from her cover shoot here, and some of her beauty secrets here.

Don’t forget to go check out Julianne’s new website, she’s working on it herself, she’s not hired people to create it for her. And she’s doing a great job! Check it out, it’s simply called Jules. As all of you should know, Julianne has been working with Kind Campaign for some time now, because they’re a cause that’s very important to her.  And, she’s got posts dealing with the importance of kindness on her blog.

On Tuesday, she posted this, that deals with the cyber bullying that Charlotte endured. I’m glad that Julianne, and Tom, and Erin said something, because it is a rampant issue. Not just on DWTS, but everywhere. Julianne’s been a victim of it, but she’s never spoken up about cyber bullying, until it happened to Charlotte. And it was wrong, and I’m glad she said something on the show. I definitely DO NOT agree with the person on twitter that I saw who told Julianne that she was all wrong with her comment, because Charlotte “acts like a bimbo.  Reap what you sow.” No, Charlotte did NOT deserve to be treated the way. No one deserves to be treated like that, and making excuses just makes it even more wrong. You don’t tell a woman who’s been physically abused that she deserved it because of her clothing, and you don’t tell a woman who’s been mentally abused that she deserved it because of how you think she acts. Period.

Our friend Krystin Burtt has a discussion about DWTS and cyber bullying over on her new website for AfterBuzz, go check it out, read the comments, and then come back and share your thoughts.

I don’t think this is going to be an easy fix, and I don’t think this is something that DWTS will be able to solve on it’s own. But I’d love to hear your thoughts, and what you feel could be the beginning of a solution?
