Dancing With The Stars Information On Next Week’s Shows, Josh Groban And Carly Rae Jepsen To Perform

As you know, next week, Dancing With The Stars Results shows return next week. E Online is reporting on it as well as some performance information. Read on for more…

On Monday, viewers will have all the power as each of the six remaining couples will perform to a song and dance picked by the fans for “America’s Choice” night. Plus, viewers will also get the chance to give input on wardrobe, set design and visual effects. In addition to America’s pick, each couple will also perform a second dance, as well as a trio dance. Combining the public votes from last Monday’s (April 27) show, Monday night’s performances and the judges’ scores from the two weeks, two couples will be eliminated during Tuesday’s results show.

E! News can also exclusively reveal that DWTS will welcome two special guest performers during Tuesday’s double elimination: Josh Groban and Carly Rae Jepsen!

Groban will sing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” with a performance by Maddie Ziegler, while Jepsen is set to perform her new hit single “I Really Like You.” Plus, the night will kick off with a special contemporary performance by Travis Wall’s Shaping Sound, which will feature DWTS pro Allison Holker and troupe dancer Jenna Johnson.

For the full article, see E Online.

ETA: Broadway World via ABC is also reporting this information. Note how “Dance Center” is returning. YAY!!

“Episode 2008” — The six remaining couples on “Dancing with the Stars” will dance to a song and dance style voted on by viewers for “AMERICA’S CHOICE” night on MONDAY, MAY 4 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET). America has creative control of the couples’ first dance, asking fans throughout the week via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for their input on wardrobe, set design and visual effects. Each couple will perform two full routines including an individual original dance and a trio dance. For the trio dance, couples had the opportunity to pick an eliminated pro or troupe member to enhance their performance and highlight the strengths of each star. The trio dance styles include the Jive, Paso Doble, Samba and Salsa. At the end of the night, two couples will be eliminated at the end of the night and four couples will move on to the semi-finals.

The “Trio Groups” are:

Noah Galloway, Sharna Burgess and Emma Slater
Robert Herjavec, Kym Johnson and Jenna Johnson
Nastia Liukin, Derek Hough and Sasha Farber
Riker Lynch, Allison Holker and Brittany Cherry
Chris Soules, Witney Carson and LINDSAY Arnold
Rumer Willis, Valentin Chmerkovskiy and Artem Chigvintsev

“Episode 2008A” – “Dancing with the Stars: The Results” continues on TUESDAY, MAY 5 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) where couples will face a double elimination based on combining the judges’ scores with the public votes from last Monday’s night performance (on April 27) and this Monday’s night performance. The night kicks-off with a special contemporary dance performance by Travis Wall’s Shaping Sound, featuring Maddie Ziegler and DWTS dancers Allison Holker and Jenna Johnson. Later in the night, Josh Groban will sing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and pop star Carly Rae Jepsen will perform her hit single “I Really Like You.” Dance Center is back with Len Goodman and Jerry Rice and Kenny Mayne.

Karina Smirnoff Interviewed On Her Break-ups And Wanting To Be A Mother

People interviewed Karina Smirnoff about her love life and wanting to be a mother. She’s been hurt a lot in the past and recently as you know. Let’s wish her the best as she tries to pick up the pieces and move on. #WeLoveYouKarina

“I think we can all solidly agree, without a doubt, that [it hasn’t been a] good life with men,” said the 37-year-old Dancing with the Stars pro, who recently broke things off with her third fiancé, Jason Adelman.

“It’s not that I choose the wrong men. That has nothing to do with it. I’m at the place in my life that I want to be a mom more than anything and I want to be a wife. I want to live for another human being and give that little guy or girl everything I have. But sometimes the desire becomes bigger than living in the moment and realizing what is happening, learning from my mistakes and seeing the red flags.”

Smirnoff, who was previously engaged to fellow DWTS pro Maksim Chermkovskiy and MLB pitcher Brad Penny, said her recent breakup with Adelman was so painful that she realized it was time to make a change.

“I’m in therapy now,” she told PEOPLE. “I’ve gotten to the point where it’s not embarrassing. I need therapy. I need to fix myself. I need to figure out what I do to get myself in these situations because I don’t think I can have another heartbreak. I can’t go through it again and stay sane and stay normal.”

The Dancing Poetry Corner – The Super Bowl of Dance

Tenth Anniversary Dancing With The Stars Special

The Super Bowl of Dance

Touchdowns were scored all night long at The Super Bowl of Dance! The enormity of the production, the memories, everything on a huge celebration scale resembled The Super Bowl! Ten years, twenty seasons, deserved to be celebrated on that grand scale!

Dancing With the Stars had humble beginnings but has turned into The Super Bowl of Dance! The show is an ABC wonder. A juggernaut has evolved out of those humble beginnings. This show is The Best Entertainment Show on The Planet!

I am still on a major high from being privileged to share in The Super Bowl of Dance! The Anniversary Special, the 20 Seasons of Dancing With The Stars, scored a touchdown in our hearts. The family the show resembles is like our family. I grew up with this family, so to speak.  I have proudly seen every season, every show. Afterbuzz TV Reviews Dancing With The Stars Season 20 Week 7

Wow…is this ever an interesting Afterbuzz TV show! This week, Shirley and Corky Ballas are Kristyn and Suri’s guests. Let’s just say….Shirley and Corky weren’t very happy about Mark and Willow getting eliminated too early. They hint at producer manipulation ….and A LOT!! I have to say…I’ve wondered on the same things at times (IE: Sharna and Charlie, Karina and Ralph to name a few other exits that happened too early) and they have some valid points. Also, pay special attention to when they start reviewing Derek and Nastia’s dance too as they say something about Henry that is interesting to say the least. Let us know what you think of this week’s show?

Carrie Ann Inaba Writes On When She First Became A Judge For Dancing With The Stars And More

Carrie Ann Inaba has written a new blog at Parade about her memories of being on Dancing With The Stars. In this take, she writes of how all came to be for her.

Ten years is a long time. Dancing with the Stars has been on the air for 10 years. A Decade! It’s an amazing time to reflect upon.

I remember when I went in to interview for a new dance show that had originated in England. At the time, I was working on with Nigel Lythgoe on American Idol and as a choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance. At the interview, I was happily surprised to see many fellow choreographers, peers and people I respected who had been in the business for a long time. It was fun and exciting to talk shop and be a part of something so very new and different. I was offered two jobs: judging roles on both Dancing With the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance. It was a very hard decision for me to make. I loved both concepts, and I had worked for so long with Lythgoe. But I had also worked with Conrad Green, the executive producer of Dancing With the Stars. In the end, I chose Dancing With the Stars.

I was so thrilled to be part of this new craze of dance shows that were just becoming popular. And look at us now! Dance is mainstream. Dance has become almost as popular as our sports. It’s become a major part of pop culture and people now talk the language of dance. I can bring up dance at a dinner table and everyone chimes in, all generations and all walks of life. Dancers are now respected as athletes and artists. It has been a beautiful evolution for my dance community, the community I have lived in for most of my adult life. And the best part is that people now know the incredible power of dance. The celebrities who have done our show have all experienced firsthand the joy, the pain, the thrill, the emotional freedom, the physical power and the transformational power of dance. They know now what I have known for most of my life. Dance heals. Dance empowers. Dance expresses what words cannot. And our audience, our beautiful extended family has experienced it all too, and they also have been able to enjoy those incredible artistic creations and performances throughout the past 20 seasons. They’ve witnessed the power, beauty and joy of dancing, and they have embraced it. They have embraced us.

Lots more at Parade. I thought she looked stunning last night on the 10th Anniversary show. I loved these photos…

The Dancing Poetry Corner – Dancing Through The Decades

Dancing Through The Decades

Who would have thought Dancing With The Stars would have the longevity like that Pink Energizer Bunny! It just keeps going and going and going…… If I have my way and the dancing gods (and ABC) cooperate, the show will be wound up for another ten years! I think that is not out of the realm of possibility. But, it’s up to all of you. Viewership must remain strong! It must continue to be a force in the dancing universe! The show is as golden as it was ten years ago. The opening number on Monday’s show was a golden depiction replete with golden gowns!

I will have a special writing dedicated to tonight’s Tenth Anniversary Special! I cannot wait to see this magnificent spectacle devoted to the juggernaut Dancing With the Stars has become. From its humble beginnings to now, it is a golden show!

Monday night’s show had an appropriate theme because of the decade the show has been on the air. Please join me as we go:
