DWTS20 Week 6 Blog Post For Julianne Hough And Carrie Ann Inaba With An Appearance From Len Goodman

First off, I’m still working on seeing everything from last night. I had a meeting that went a lot longer than expected, and I got home just as Riker and Allison were getting their scores. Then the rain started, with a lot of thunder and lightning, and the satellite went out. I was able to watch most of the show this morning, but have not been able to watch both team dances, and neither of their packages. I did see Team YoLo.  I hate feeling like I’m behind when I’m trying to keep up with things, and really, not seeing all of the show shouldn’t prevent me from writing this post. But still, I’m feeling behind.

Julianne’s People magazine blog is up! There’s a LOT of information in this week….. I’ve learned over the last several weeks, that her Creative Team like to get together and pretend Julianne is a human barbie doll, and use the themes for DWTS as their cue to do what they will….. What did you think of Julianne’s look this week? They used Spring Break and turned her into a human Anime doll. I’m not so sure….

THIS IS THE LAST WEEK FOR JULIANNE’S PINK HAIR! She’s been getting a LOT of flack for having pink hair, but she’s always one to continually change up her hair. Here’s her team, stylist Anita Patrickson, hair guru Riawna Capri, and makeup man, Spencer Barnes.

“When we fit her in this dress, Julianne had just gotten her hair dyed,” Anita Patrickson tells PEOPLE. “We had originally thought her hair would be pink for a week, and then she’d go back to being blonde, but when we tried the dress on with her hair pink it looked so amazing she decided to keep it especially for this dress.”

Hough’s hair guru Riawna Capri adds that the yellow dress “was a perfect juxtaposition for the pink hair.”

“The biggest challenge was maintaining Jules pink to stay vibrant for the show,” she tells PEOPLE. “We would chalk it up before the show to maintain the brightness.”

To refresh her hue, Capri uses Evo hair color, a temporary dye that’s easy to get out when “you are done with being a unicorn.” (Shop Hough’s exact formula for #UnicornPink here.)

“She looked like a doll so much, and she didn’t really feel like herself,” Capri says of Hough’s reaction to the look. “She usually more effortless and free, but tonight was perfect and polished.”

Her makeup artist Spencer Barnes says cherry blossoms and anime were the inspiration behind her bold beauty moment.

He also teased that another hair change is pending for the 26-year-old star. “Julianne is always full of surprises — and this hair color was something she’s been dreaming about doing for sometime. Tonight after the show the will be are back in Riawna’s Melrose Place salon — Nine Zero One — for more hair surprises.”

Hmmm……. Another new hair color for Julianne next week….. I’ll guess RED! because she’s mentioned that fairly recently, and I was actually surprised to see her hair pink a couple weeks ago. I’m HOPING it’s a more natural red, and similar to the wig she wore for Burlesque, although at the same time, a nice Washington Capital Red might be nice support to her boyfriend…. Still hoping it’s a more natural red.

I did wonder why it was Mark and his girl friend at the hospital with Derek last night, and not Julianne and their mother, and being at the salon would explain it.

Julianne posted a funny video on her facebook page. It’s Len from yesterday, in what looks like the judges production meeting, and fortunately for her, and for us, Len allowed her to post it. Trust me, you’ll want to see Definitely-Not-Grumpy-Len!

UPDATE on Julianne’s hair, before we hit the post button…. IT’S NOT RED! Her make up man, Spencer Barnes, posted this instagram of Julianne with her hair re-done (it’s pictured below too), and ready to go for filming the celebration episode! All I can say is, WOW! I honestly was expecting red, based on what Spencer said before, but I am glad she’s back to blond. I loved the pale pink, but haven’t been able to say that I loved the bright pink from Monday. But the color and cut here, LOVE!

And keep checking back, Carrie Ann’s blog will be added WHEN I SEE IT! I’ve been checking all day, and it’s not been posted.

Robert Herjavec Writes On Dancing With The Stars Week 6 And More

Robert Herjavec has blogged about his dance with partner Kym Johnson last night on Dancing With The Stars. He also writes of the team dance. here is more from Entertainment Weekly.

Kym always pushes me, so I definitely know what they mean when they say the content level is very, very high in our routines. I wouldn’t want it any other way. I’m here to learn from the best and to compete—I feel good about our performance, and I’m looking onwards and upwards to next Monday. Next week is “Decades” themed, and #TeamSharkaroo will be doing an Argentine Tango to represent the 80’s. I’m seeing scrunchies, turtlenecks and more big hair in my future!

We also had the opportunity to do a team dance this week. It was a nerve-wracking experience to have Nastia and Derek away for so much of our prep, but that’s the beauty of a team. We all pulled our own weight, supported each other and came away with an incredible routine. It was so nice to get to know the other dancers better—there isn’t a lot of downtime during a training week, and everyone’s schedules are so scattered.

More at Entertainment Weekly including Robert’s thoughts on Noah.

Noah Galloway And Sharna Burgess Discuss Their Package Last Night On Dancing With The Stars

Fox11 talked with Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess after Dancing With The Stars last night. Noah was still upset for how they were portrayed in their package. Read on for more…

He explained to reporters, “The argument was my fault, but that wasn’t portrayed in the package the way it was edited … and … I’m not used to that and [I’m] … not the type of person that someone I care about is going to look bad when it was my fault.

“So I couldn’t get it out of my head the entire dance,” he said. “She told me backstage, ‘It’s reality TV. That’s what it is,’ but I’m like, ‘I am not set up for reality TV.’

“I’m protective of my friends. I’ve always been that way.”

Burgess, a longtime DWTS pro, noted, “He went into battle for me and went in to protect me, ‘No, it wasn’t her fault, it was mine!’ I think that is so sweet.”

Meanwhile, Galloway said, “It was a lesson learned for me. It’s like, if we’re going to argue about something, let’s not do it in front of the camera.”

The brave military man told FOX411 that he and Burgess both expressed what was bothering them during the incident and then they had “great communication skills between us and we were fine. The argument didn’t even last that long. We worked it out. We’re really close.”

Burgess said that Galloway got so obviously steamed about her being painted in a bad light that host Tom Bergeron even mentioned it on the live show.

For her part, Burgess said, “The [TV rehearsal] package didn’t rile me up at all. I’m used to that. I’ve been here for many seasons now. I know that if you have a three-minute argument in a 40-hour week of rehearsals, they’re going to use that argument because we need to see diversity [of] what couples go through.

“But it didn’t play well for Noah, he felt like it was misused.”

I don’t blame him for being upset. To read the full story, see Fox11. Thanks to Elisabeth for the find.

Stay tuned, we’ll update this post with Sharna’s new blog when it’s released.

ETA: Sharna released her new blog at Closer Weekly. Below is a take where she talks more on the same. She also writes a little on their new dance. Be sure to see the link for more including photos.

We had an intense but fantastic week, and our first fight lasted all of five minutes. What counts is how we pushed past it and moved forward. I do think it’s important for our fans to see this isn’t easy for either of us. It can sometimes be overwhelming, and we had a very human moment of frustration. We got through it easily because we understood where each other was coming from and made the necessary adjustments. We are great friends, too, and we honestly laughed about it at the end of the day!

We are more energized than ever to produce an amazing jazz number for next week’s dance! I love our song so much and have some really big ideas for choreography! I can’t wait to start working on the dance — there’s so much to do.

PureDWTS Season 20, Week 6 – Power Rankings

Let’s play a game 🙂 It’s called “Who can come up with the most ridiculous, subjective, and flimsy critique for a dance that’s nearly flawless???” I’ll start!!!  “Nastia, your pupils were FAR too dilated while you were doing that tango – it made me feel like you were undressing me with your eyes!” Or how ’bout this? “Derek, the pleats on your pants weren’t sharp enough – and it really detracted from the dance for me.” YOUR TURN!!! I think you guys get the point I’m trying to make – some of the critiques have gotten so out of control that the judges really seem like they’re grasping at straws to appear superior and relevant.  Or they’re just trying to make sure that Nastia doesn’t get too confident, even though she is every bit as good as Rumer & Riker.  Whatever, guys – I guess just keep spinning the “Wheel O’ Excuses Why We Simply Can’t Just Tell Nastia She Did Well” back in your trailers to keep things colorful…and to keep the season’s agenda on-track.

Besides Nastia, I STILL feel like Robert is getting the short end of the stick from the judges and can’t do anything right in their eyes; and then there’s Chris, who looks downright miserable all the time, barely moves, and the judges just FAWN over him.  Here’s a bit of a “behind the scenes” scoop for you guys, free of charge: CHRIS DOES NOT WANT TO BE THERE.  Sure, it’s totally written all over his face whenever the camera pans to him, but just confirming it for you – the dude was legit disappointed that he didn’t get sent home last week.  And can you really blame him? He’s struggling hardcore each week, he’s butting heads with Witney, and I’m pretty sure he just wants to get back to the farm to have some wild hayloft sex with his Whitney.  Or something like that.  While I think it was Patti’s time to go either this week or next week, I still would have rather kept her over Chris – at least she was having fun, even if she wasn’t really doing a whole lot.  She was still entertaining. Derek Hough Hurt And Had To Go To The Hospital After Dancing With The Stars

Copied and pasted from Pure Derek Hough:
First, don’t panic, but, according to Derek and Mark ballas’ instagram accounts, Derek had to go to ER last night. Apparently, Derek hurt his leg or foot…or maybe both? Below are the instagrams. Let’s be hoping and praying Derek is ok. We’ll update this post as soon as we learn more.

ETA: Here is what Gossip Cop is reporting for when Derek got hurt…

A rep for “Dancing with the Stars” only tells Gossip Cop, “We can confirm he was injured rehearsing for the ‘DWTS’ 10th Anniversary special.” See photos below.

Keep those positive thoughts, wishes, and prayers coming, All!!
