Julianne And Derek Hough’s Move Live On Tour Premieres in Phoenix, Arizona – HQ Photos, Video, And More
@ashfrye08 Tonight in Phoenix @juleshough and @derekhough reminded us not only to appreciate all we have in life, especially our health, but that everything we need to accomplish our dreams is already inside of us. We all have a light, we just need to ignite it.
Julianne and Derek Hough’s Move Live On Tour kicked off in Phoenix, Arizona last night. Below are some breathtaking shots. To view more, see Getty Images. To read more coverage from the show last night including interviews, fan reviews, sizzling hot dance videos (like the one above), and more, see Pure Derek Hough. It’s a huge dance party and then some! Tickets
Is this tour in bigger venues than the DWTS tour? I know the Nokia Theatre is large from American Idol, but wondered about the other venues. It looks very professional from the photos. I see Rudy from SYTYCD as well. Such a bundle of energy that kid. Definitely would go if it was coming my way!
Yes, Judy – many/most of the cities have much larger venues than the last go round. I haven’t actually counted, but I know that Nashville and NYC went MUCH larger, while chicago kept the same venue and added a second show when the first one sold out. Derek and Julianne both said they were going to larger venues this time around.
I have to say, after seeing the production value on this tour just from the videos, it looks amazing. Wow.
I was surprised when I heard they hadn’t sold the first show out yesterday morning. Then I checked the venue in Pheonix they were playing at and it’s like a 5000 capacity and they only had about 200 seats left. I hope they bring a good photographer to the sold out show in NYC. It’s gonna look so good with 6000 people in the crowd.
The next two are sold out, although one has some of the VIP seats left. I haven’t checked venue size or much beyond the first three shows. But I do know that Radio City is sold out – there were about 50 resale tickets of ppl trying to cash in. Nashville has some seats left at the very top at the back, but that show is more than a month away.
Derek is used to playing to a sold out Radio City Music Hall. And it IS an amazing venue when full. Even when not full.
I hope the backup dancers appreciate the opportunity they have to perform at a sold out Radio City. It’ll be the biggest performances of their careers and could lead to future work if they stand out. I’ve never had the chance to be in NY but if I ever was I’d defo take in a show at Radio City. Looks wicked from pictures and videos.
If you’re ever in NYC, you should also take the Radio City Tour – that’s quite interesting as well. It’s like a rabbit warren.
Can anyone figure out why the matinee in both New Orleans and Chicago are sold out (as is another matinee, can’t remember where) but the evening shows aren’t?? Do people just want to get home early or something? I can get going to a matinee on the weekend, like in NO…but the rest has me baffled. 🙂
The Denver show is at a much bigger venue this time…and nicer and newer. I can’t wait to go!!!
I live here in chicago, usually people like to go to earlier shows because they like to go drinking afterwards, since all the theaters are downtown. It doesn’t matter if its the weekend, they will go drinking during the week anyways.
I like matinee shows since we have a long drive home afterwards.
Last year’s show was fantastic, but this one looks like on a whole another level. Can’t wait to see it in RCMH on July 9th.
Heidi, I believe the evening show in Chicago is pretty much sold out. I think the only seats available are resale tickets. It’s been pretty much sold out for a couple of months now, I think 🙂
I just want to thank you Vogue & PHeidi for taking time to post information from those who have seen the show. It’s wonderful that people share there experience of being there live watching Derek & Julianne’s Move Live Show. The photos, videos and written experience is so deeply appreciate, and it gives those of us a chance to see some of the show. From what I have seen, the dancing and costumes are awesome. I just can’t find the words to thank everyone enough and I visited PureDerekHough and enjoyed everything posted tremendously!!!
I second KKat, Thanks for all the Move Live goodness!
You Guys are the best. THANKS!!! <3 <3 xx
What should we wear to the Move Live tour? Can’t decide if we’ll be hot from all of the ‘moving”, or if it’s freezing in there cuz the dancers work so hard! I’m going to see it in Charleston
