Carrie Ann Inaba Writes On Her Favorite Dances From DWTS Disney Night And More
Carrie Ann Inaba writes on her top three performances last night on Dancing With The Stars at Access Hollywood. She also posted some photos from “behind the scenes”.
Antonio and Sharna’s Aladdin-themed Jazz routine was absolutely incredible…”Boomin” to be exact. It’s not easy to come right out of the gate, perform first of the night and gather 9s the way he did, especially after being at the bottom of the leaderboard just last week. I believe he has found his sweet spot. He was easily the coolest male performer of the week and their dance set the standard high for the rest of the night. Antonio was clean and sharp, slick and cool, and worked well with the men who danced with them. Sharna was very clever in putting a performance together that played to his incredible skills as a team player. He gets my vote for most improved as well as best male performance of the night.
Ginger and Val’s Beauty and the Beast was nearly flawless. The staging, the costumes, the choreography but really, that hold! When she got into hold, her posture was incredible, the hold was magnificent and her lines were so refined. She brought Belle to life in a way that I could see the kids in the audience reacting as if they were at Disneyland watching a live show. It was magical.
Finally, Paige and Mark’s Toy Story themed Quickstep proved that Paige is the one to beat at this point. She’s been on top of the leaderboard for two weeks in a row now. Mark’s choreography really shines with Paige as his partner, they are a match made in DWTS-heaven, that’s for sure.

I respectfully disagree with CAI. I don’t think Antonio’s dance was all that spectacular and hated his pimped out costume. I do think Paige is the female to beat though.
Totally but respectfully disagree with Carrie Ann. I think both Sharna and Val phoned it in. Will be interested to see if their celebs do better with others. Val and Ginger didn’t dance the first 30 seconds of the music. Maybe he wasn’t feeling good.
Is she freaking kidding? Antonio and Sharna one of her top 3 dances of the night… and Ginger and Val.
And I didn’t read any further to find out which couple was her honorable mention. I don’t even care what she says. CAI has lost all credibility. End of story.
I’m beginning to wonder if there wasn’t a little office memo post-it included in with her paycheck this week.
In what universe was Antonio better than Wanya? Does she realize how fake she is sounding?
I wonder if she picked these three because ‘Wanya, Nyle and Paige’ is a bit repetitive (albeit true) after four weeks? I also wonder if at least one of the two most pimped she mentioned will be gone soon, so she tried to get a good word in while she could?
I always have this feeling that Carrie Ann likes to kiss ass, whether producers or Val. Almost every season she writes on how “great” Val’s partners are…see her wording about Ginger? “Her posture was incredible, the hold was magnificent and her lines was so refined”. Exaggerate much? She should add: “that 30 seconds of posing was just out of this world, that lift was just outstanding…and when she walk down that steps…ah, just like Bindi”. And when it comes down to Wanya? “You over danced” *rolls eyes*. Nothing against Ginger but Carrie Ann paycheck must be Boomin just by saying those lines.
Just goes to show that CAI is on meth or something. Not even mentioning Wanya? C’mon now girl. Save for Doug, every other male celeb danced better than Antonio.
Sharna had no choice but to phone it in because her partner only gave her 5 hours of practice leading up to Saturday/Sunday. Val? I don’t think he is phoning it in, whomever gets Ginger will definitely be showing him up. He’s given partner after partner with extensive dance experience & all he can choreo is a few steps in hold?
