The finale season’s runner-up is among the list of artists slated to perform at Tubeathon at the iHeart Theater in Los Angeles on April 20, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal.
Renae will be joined by fellow Idol alum Nick Fradiani, MAGIC!, Alyson Stoner, Mark Ballas and fiancĂ©e BC Jean, James Maslow, Chanel West Coast, Melanie Martinez, iLoveMemphis, Tyler Hilton, DSharp, 80Fitz, Sky Blue, Christina Grimmie, Sam Tsui, Janina Gavankar, Alex Boye, Heffron Drive at the star-studded digital telethon and musical variety show presented by What’s Trending and iHeartRadio.
Hosted by What’s Trending’s Shira Lazar, Tubeathon will serve as an early kick-off to the American Red Cross’ 2016 Giving Day (April 21), which is an annual one-day fundraising effort designed to rally public and financial support for the Red Cross and its mission to help families who have been affected by disaster or emergencies.
The show will also include variety segments and appearances from actors and online influencers live from Tubeathon’s Draft Kings-sponsored Tweet Bank, a modern day take on a charity phone bank.
New Girl’s Lamorne Morris and YouTube’s Kandee Johnson, Don Benjamin, Twan Kuyper and Chloe Lukasiak are among those who will be on hand to encourage viewers throughout the live stream to participate and donate to the Red Cross by using the hashtag #help1family.
For every Tweet with the #help1family hashtag, Craigslist founder Craig Newmark will donate $1 to the Red Cross.
“Tubeathon is a powerful platform that brings together entertainers and influencers to raise awareness and funds for families affected by emergencies or disasters,” says Gail McGovern, American Red Cross President and CEO. “We are thrilled to be involved in this unique concert event as part of our Giving Day awareness and educational programs.”
The Tubeathon red carpet (5 to 7 p.m. PT) and show (7 to 9 p.m. PT) will stream live at www.redcross.org/tubeathon and on twitch.tv/whatstrending on April 20.
